Someone in work asked me about it yesterday because her kids have been behaving quite strangely and walking around the house with their phones out. I say kids, they're my age. I got my phone out to explain how it worked, only to find there was an eevee, a rattata, a caterpie and a pidgey in the room, so of course I had to digress to catch them!

There were people walking into walls with their phones out in the pub yesterday. I already wish this craze would f**k off. I'm all for the exercise aspect of it, but anything that makes people look at their phone more kills social settings. Unless you want to just talk about Pokémon of course.

It has caused a few funny stories mind you - a guy causing a pile up on a motorway trying to catch a Pikachu, businesses luring people to their stores and forcing them to pay in order to catch Pokémon, the girl who found a dead body under a bridge, the guy cheating by attaching his phone to a drone, gangs luring groups of people in order to steal their iPhones. I'm convinced we'll see Pokémon Go paedophilia, rape and murder soon!

Been dead excited over this one, trying to follow it vicariously without actually playing it as I get far too addicted to games. Went on an evening walk through with a pal who was stuck on the thing, he hatched an Ekans and later caught a Seel, turns out there are much fewer of the things to be found out in the sticks which takes a bit of fun out of it. Many more Pokémon to be found in the towns, where you walk up and down the high street swiping at your phone and looking a bit of a twit in front of everyone. If it were me designing this thing I'd force people to walk up the fells to find the best Pokémon. Would be wonderful seeing all the gamers staggering up Stoodley Pike, vomiting over their Crocs in overexertion just to get a Cubone, finally getting some Vitamin D.

I never get this shit. People who don't play it don't seem to understand that Pokemon aren't actually tied to a specific spot... you can literally be like anywhere in a pretty big radius of them to catch them. So in that case above, for example, there would be no reason that they'd have to go into the shop... being across the road from it would work.

Game crashed on me when I thought I'd caught a lickatung. Fuming.

I kept getting crashes every time I found a Gastly... couldn't catch one for shit. Then I eventually did, and I renamed him Rick Gastly, and he's great because he's never gonna give me up/let me down/ect you know the rest.
