What about Cigarettes and Carvalhal?

to be fair he's still an unknown but his post match interviews are decent

Dyche is a fantastic manager. Look at the players we lost last summer. Ings, Trippier, Shackell. Ashley Barnes out for majority of this season. Dean Marney out for the majority of this season. Every single one of those players were regulars in our team last year. To have achieved what we have this year given such significant changes to personnel is testament to Dyche as a manager and the character of our team.

Admittedly Dyche spent a lot of money, but spending money doesn't guarantee you success. It obviously helps a lot, I'm not denying that. But just because a manager spends a lot doesn't take away from his achievements.

I'm also aware that Dyche has a tendency to open his mouth and make ill thought out comments. But quite frankly who gives a fuck? I'd take a successful manager who says stupid stuff over a mediocre one who says all the right things.

But don't forget, big spending Burnley "can't compete with the market leaders"

Again wanting to see you fail and then making a joke about you ending up in league 2... Not bitter just rivals.

Simple folk these Dingle lot.

You made a comment which sounded really quite bitter. I then commented on said bitterness. Doesn't matter if you meant it as a joke or not, you still sounded bitter.

Simple really.

He's done what? One promotion to the PL with a side heavily backed, Im not saying I do not rate him but to say he's the best is stretching it
They weren't heavily backed the first time around were they? Admittedly this time is difference but that's what having a season in the Premier League does for your club.
Mind you, I think one reason why he's effective as a manager is because surely no player would want to be alone with him in his office to face his wrath, he looks genuinely scary with his bristling gingerness!

True, but I don't remember them spending much of it in their promotion season.
So, does this call for a re-evaluation of Owen Coyle's managerial abilities?

You owe us some thanks. Gray, Vokes, Kightly, Jones, Ward (Shackell) are all players who were deemed not good enough at Wolves :ffs:

Really hoping it comes down to the last day with Middlesbrough vs Brighton. Preferably with the away side having the advantage and Boro having to go all guns blazing to get the win and Brighton hanging on for dear life. That would be absolutely epic!

If Hull don't make the play-offs, they'll destroy Derby. Win-win.

I don't know, Hull were shit when they played us. Won due a lucky free kick to get an undeserved victory.

From what I've seen, if Derby can recapture their form before Christmas, they'll make easy work of Hull.

Extremely unlikely we'll go into that game ahead of Boro. We'll probably have to win their, or perhaps match Burnley, but with them at Charlton, we'll probably have to win!

Wouldn't bank on it given the hiding they gave us at our place but we look a much better team now and are in good form at the moment.

Been massively impressed with the way you guys have bounced back from that terrible patch of form.

Seems to be mainly driven by Knockaert, far too good a player for this level

He was in the Leicester side ahead of Mahrez when they were down here wasn't he!

I think they played on opposite wings after Mahrez joined. Good player regardless; we've been linked with Knockaert in the past and I would have been delighted if we signed him.

Well obviously Boro refuse to do it the easy way. Please Preston beat Burnley on Friday. Also if any of you Preston fans want to run on the pitch and kick Dyche in the face that would be an added bonus.

Knockaert's been great but Jiri Skalak has been superb too. Doesn't grab the headlines as much but he's been getting loads of assists and scored a cracker tonight. Knockaert tends to be dropped for the away games, wouldn't say its been driven by him but an excellent addition. Kayal and Stephens are the heartbeat of the side. Cover so much ground. We've been written off all season, don't know if we'll get over the line but have proven a lot of people wrong. Really hoping Preston can do us a massive favour on Friday night as I'm dreading the prospect of having to win at Boro!

Even if we do and you got 3 clear on saturday. You'd still have to win or at least a draw vs Boro to go up as burnley have the better GD (Assuming you both win next week). You really needed Boro to hold on vs Burnley last night.

A point at Boro on the final day to guarantee promotion? Would snap your hand off for that scenario right now.

The more I think about it, the more I think it's gonna require three wins, which would take some doing considering we're already on a 4 game winning run..
