Well done Accrington on hitting the 83 point mark that should see them safe for promotion.

Accrington have won 10 matches in a row now and 15 unbeaten, not losing since Crawley in late Jan. They’ve won every single match since mid Feb.

3 consecutive draws when we could have taken advantage of slip ups by promotion rivals and we haven’t taken advantage.

So so poor yet we are still in the chase for the last play off place.

Huge win for us in terms of securing a play-off place, with Mansfield and Swindon dropping points.

So Accrington need a maximum of 10 points to guarantee the Championship and a maximum of 4 for automatic promotion (from 6 games LOL). Luton need a maximum of 7 points from their remaining 4 games to guarantee automatic promotion.

Good to see Flitcroft is aiding our play off push (stumble). Without his timely professionalism in right royally screwing Mansfield, we’d have no chance!

They (Accy) can clinch it with three if they beat us next Saturday. I fancy us though, weve got great spirit at the moment and Wycombe must be getting nervous...

I predict a 1-0 win to accy. That seems to be the result they like best. You'll probably beat Accy and lose to Crawley. Thats the way it normaly works. Very tight for that 3rd spot and while I'm quite sure we'll get the runners up spot I'm still nervously looking behind at other results.

Whereas we've Stevenage away before chesterfield, there isn't another game in this league which would match the intensity between Mansfield and chesterfield. Whereas it's clear that our season is over there is the best part of 2,800 Mansfield fans expecting to do serious damage to Chesterfields hopes of staying up

If shitcroft losses to those, he'll come under sustained attack from the remaining few who still for whatever reason support him

Chesterfield game is incredibly hard to predict because let’s be honest since Flitcroft joined I bet we are no better than them.

We aren't anywhere near as good as them, or anyone else seemingly.

No way on Earth Mansfield are going up, not a chance by that display today. Be lucky to make the Top 7 and I say that with no disrespect intended.

Be interesting to see if they'll be funded to the same level next season, seem a team of bang average expensive flops on paper and I feared no one in their line up. When Luton and Rotherham made a fanfare of signing expensive players for this level, at least a lot of them were leading players for this level or were proven in League One. Not so at Mansfield, just seem to be a mix of bogstandard League Two players and Conference players who failed at League One level so they're trying their luck in League Two.

Whoever finishes 4th will be fools if they lose to the 7th place side in the playoffs, no one wants it at all...

Big win for us that keeps the pressure on 3rd. Mansfield losing means only a monumental fuck up would see us miss out on the play offs. Accrington away next week which will be incredibly tough but our final four games are against teams we should be beating if we want us win promotion.

Gonna go to the wire.

Decent day for us. Gives us a one game, possibly two, room for error and a game in hand as well.

We know we're shit under flitcroft, you really don't offend me, or say anything we don't know from that severely limited attempt at a football manager.

You were crap, we were worse, your players wanted it and produced some bloody brilliant finishes. Met a few in the local before the game as well, good lads, had a great sense of humour

A lot of our players have been successful in this division and above, quite frankly that is a bizarre post, it’s obvious how little you do know about our squad.

I’m not going to defend how severely underperforming they are along with the manager mind.

Before Evans left we were well on course for a top three finish, not bad for a bunch of conference rejects. I actually cannot believe the amount of ignorance in that post. It’s almost what I would expect from some knobhead on Stagsnet.

We definitely have a top three budget, with a top three squad on paper to match it. Unfortunately Evans leaving and Flitcroft coming in has completely ruined it.

Owd Conks is right the blame is almost entirely with Fatty Fat Fat Evans , he’s put you in this mess and Radford just added to it with a seemingly awful appointment.

With Evans in charge now, Mansfield would be 3rd or 4th guaranteed

Where’s Costa Del Stag gone to defend DF?

11th Colchester(42) - 61 points. Notts County(A), Lincoln(A), Swindon(H), Exeter(A)

Working from the bottom for 2 key reasons. First, I'll break with my usual tradition of only including the top 10. Carlisle and Colchester, despite what their fans say, are still in with a slim shout of making the top 7, the inconsistent form of the 3 teams above them have seen to that. With Coventry sudden losing form, it opens it back up, even to Carlisle and Colchester. I still don't think either team makes it, but let's not rule it totally out just yet.

Swindon can't get anything going under Phil Brown, but a home draw with Carlisle isn't the worst result and their next 3 are very favourable. This is their chance to make a move on the top 7, do they have it in them to do so? Mansfield were actually not bad today in attack, but their defence, in classic Flitcroft style, was a joke. I keep saying their run in is nice, but if they keep blowing it against teams like Crewe, they've got no chance. But still, Rose back and Miller scoring, they might still do it. Need a win pretty sharpish though, they've been kept alive by Coventry's sudden dip.

And yes, what is going on Sky Blues fans? A surge of form made it look like you were going to cruise into the play offs, but that vaunted defence has gone missing of late, 9 goals conceded in the last 3 games? Not good at all. It really does seem to be a race to get out of contention at the moment from the teams in 7th-11th.

Mixed weekend for Lincoln given they didn't play. The 2 above them moved further clear, but the 5 below them didn't close the gap. Should help secure their play off spot. Big win for Notts County, their home form has carried them all season. Autos still look a bit far off, but if they can finish strongly, they'll head into the play offs in good form, which is important. Exeter have, on paper, one tough fixture to go, then their run in looks decent. Can they push on and go after that 3rd spot?

Reckon Wycombe will have got a bit nervy seeing County and Exeter both win late today. Got some tricky fixtures as well, back to back away games for them next up. Pressure firmly on. Luton put themselves on the brink of an automatic spot after letting Yeovil self destruct today. Fair play to them, they do deserve an automatic spot, yeah they had a wobble that could well cost them the title, but 2nd and into League One is hardly a bad consolation prize. They also officially clinch at least a top 7 spot with this win.

Finally, we save the best for last. You run out of superlatives of what Accrington have achieved this season. Into League One for the first time in their history, a truly remarkable feat. Today was their 9th 1-0 win, their 15th with a clean sheet.

With their win today, they have also clinched at least a top 7 spot. However, if they beat Exeter next weekend at home, they are officially promoted, regardless of what happens elsewhere. That would be something, to beat the only team currently outside the top 3 that can still catch you. And if they fall short in that game, they have another home game against Yeovil 3 days later to get over the line.

Mansfield and Swindon in action on Tuesday, chance for both of them to put pressure on Coventry. The big one is next weekend though, Accrington v Exeter. Luton can put themselves on the brink by beating Crewe as well. Getting to that point of the season kids, things are getting interesting.

Mansfield have the run in everyone wants. Could just take a win for them to get on a roll. Despite the big loss, they will take a lot from the comeback

Lincoln have a tough run in and could well have a case of after the Lord Mayors show when they return from Wembley. They are the team I wouldn’t want in the play offs though

Autos is gone for us unless Exeter and Wycombe both falter and we win all our remaining games. Can’t see it myself. We haven’t won back to back sinvpce September or something daft like that

We must have won more games from losing positions than anyone else in the league? Anyone got any stats to confirm or to show who has??

If we won all of our remaining games we might just sneak it, but that would require winning two away games which obviously just ain’t happening.

We’ve got to make sure we finis fourth or fifth, though. We need to be at home second in the play-offs.

Home first, away first , we’ve got to get in there first and with two away games that’s no certainty.

If we do get in can we cancel the TV cameras please?

To even have a slither of a chance, we would have to win all four of our remaining games and that is no way happening, even more so with our run in. Yesterday was another great chance as Accrington were there for the taking - even first half, but we were then well on top for the first 20 minutes after the break until they hit us on the break, then it was game over.
