Swindon's retained list, quite a few familiar names on there. Marc Richards for any Vale fans. James Dunne, Ollie Lancashire, Jak McCourt as well.

https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/2019/may/released-and-retained-list-announced/

Oldham's:

https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2019/may/08052019-1819-retained/

Strange they are making decisions on players without a manager in place. I'm sure that'll help attract a new manager. I see Jose Baxter on this list. Is this officially the end of the hype train with him? Clearly talented, but he's never going to put it together if he can't stick with a L2 club at the age of 27.

Wouldn't mind looking at Peter Clarke, we were interested before he signed with Oldham previously I believe. I know he's 37, but he could do a job for most teams at this level.

What's the deal with Daniel Powell? I expected far more from his career than this.

Played wide for the majority and has struggled, last 6 matches he has been played more central and scored three and hit the post on Saturday after a run from the half way line through the middle (the rebound was scored by Andy Williams).
Again, another player if played in the right position.

I think he played in both games against us and looked good. Haven't checked though.

i thought Vigoroux was on a par with Buffon when i've read stuff on here before ?
Billy Big Bollocks. Great keeper, terrible attitude. Guessing he’ll end up bench warming at QPR.

Apart from him I’d steer well clear of the others released.

Rico would have been at Vale had Smurf not had a rage when he heard news the Vale SC has passed a vote of no confidence.

Probably too old now considering we’ve got Pope who’s knocking on too.

I believe ours were told today (obvious Askey knows he is staying and Carol pretty much said in the press conference that’s what they want).

Rumours abound that Miller has gone (a year left on contract) and some suggestion that there may be a few surprise names as Askey isn’t happy with the unprofessional attitude of a few.

Hopefully cooper doesn't go for any of them.

He didn’t sign any of them so I doubt it. He may fancy one of the young players - not in a Crewe way, you understand.

Heard Olly Lancashire get mentioned in 1 or 2 rumours a while back, not sure if we'd still be interested?

Honestly, if Cooper is half way interested you're in the deep doo doo. Inept doesn’t do him justice.

Is Ben Garrett all that? Remember Crewe fans talking like he was the best thing (at least had the potential to be) since sliced bread the last time we were down here, fast forward five years or so and he’s still a L2 keeper who’s now been let go.
hes a very decent keeper at this level

We need more experience if we somehow go up, would be a tough battle to stay up. Lancashire has decent league 1 experience if nothing else.

He's good. Doesn't particularly command his area and has a mistake in him (but probably no more than most keepers at this level) but generally he's a reliable shot-stopper. I'm sure he'll do very well for himself wherever he ends up.

We’ve released ours today:

Both Christy Pym and Hiram Boateng are out of contract but have been offered new deals, however, Taylor expects them both to move on. Boateng is only 23 so assume we’d get some compensation but Pym would go on a free.

Boateng is extremely talented and will, in time, become a consistent L1 player and Pym will make a very good ‘keeper for someone.

Other than that, we’ve released James Hamon, Luke Croll and Jimmy Oates plus some youngsters, so not loss there. Troy Brown is in discussion on a new deal, but due to his injury record I expect he will get reduced terms.

Everyone else under contract and Taylor says he wants 5 or 6 permanent signings plus a couple of loans so a busy summer coming up.

Both were linked with us last summer for obvious reasons. I could see us going in for Boateng as our best winger currently is probably Ryan Harley and he’s woeful. Pym is a keeper I’d love but we’ll only look to sign him if we sell one of Nicholls or Moore.

Yeah it’s likely Tisdale will be in for both. Boateng isn’t a winger, he’s best played as a central attacking midfielder. Both would be decent signings although I’ve heard Ipswich are looking at Pym. He’s a great shot stopper but his distribution needs a lot of work.

Crawley have released their list.

Offered contract

Dannie Bulman; played 40 or so games for us and is the oldest goalscorer in the league (v FGR). He has played 399 games for us across the Conference, League 1 & League 2. Club legend. I hope he signs.

Option Taken

Panutche Camarra; the shining light in our season. His work rate stats are off the chart. Not bad for a fella who came as a languid attacking midfielder type.

Released

Bondz N'Gala; centre half who was signed to cover an injury crisis. Stopper type who could be a useful back up.

Yousef Mersin; keeper who Liverpool paid a million quid for! Has a howler in him but needed to leave for his own sake.

Loan players Joe McGuire, Luke Gambin and Matty Willock have returned to their parent clubs. Fleetwood, Luton and Manure.

Everyone else under contract.

No idea on the secret. Maybe he just loves it.

By all accounts he is a light hearted, fun person and great around the dressing room...pretty good on the pitch too.

Eight players will be leaving this summer, including Luke Wilkinson, who has made over 100 appearances across three and a half seasons with the club. A strong nucleous of 14 remain under contract for next year, whilst James Ball and Donovan Makoma have been made available for transfer. Talks are still ongoing with veteran campaigners Alex Revell and Joel Byrom, as well as Club Captain Ronnie Henry.

Players out of contract in June and/or released:
Luke Wilkinson
Michael Timlin
Johnny Hunt
Mark McKee
Joe Martin
Jamal Campbell-Ryce
Will Appleyard
Oliver Byrne

Players with contracts for 2019/20 but available for transfer:
James Ball
Donovan Makoma

Players who are still undergoing discussions:
Ronnie Henry
Alex Revell
Joel Byrom

Players retained for the 2019/2020 season:
Paul Farman
Luther James-Wildin
Scott Cuthbert
Ben Nugent
Terence Vancooten
Arthur Iontton
Ben Kennedy
Emmanuel Sonupe
Kurtis Guthrie
Danny Newton
Liam Smyth
Andronicos Georgiou
Alex Reid
Joe White

----------------------

I liked Wilkinson, solid enough League Two defender but not remotely surprised to see him released. Nugent and Cuthbert the better pairing and preferred as a two and they were joined by Vancooten towards the end of the season when we went with a three at the back.

Bit surprised by Timlin but not overly disappointed, wouldn't have kept Timlin and Byrom so if we end up with just Byrom I'd be alright with that. Hunt and Martin had done quite well but not surprised to see either leave, hopefully we'll get Seddon back although that's probably wishful thinking.

McKee I liked prior to his exile from the first team, no idea what's gone on there but I thought he was destined to go on to bigger and better things, since his return hasn't looked the same, might be one that comes back to bite us on the arse, but understandable.

Revell, Byrom and Henry - don't know the finer details obviously but I'd imagine they're all on a decent wage for us, I like them all but wouldn't keep them if they're going to be among the higher earners at the club.

He's been ok, seems like a solid enough goalkeeper for this level. Started and ended the season as number one, lost his place for a couple of months following an injury and the good form of Seny Dieng, who we had on loan from QPR. I'm happy enough with him to remain at number one for now.

We have finally announced our list:

Already contracted for next season (13)
Scott Flinders, Sean Long, Chris Hussey, Ben Tozer, Johnny Mullins, Conor Thomas, Will Boyle, Alex Addai, Josh Debayo, George Lloyd, Chris Clements, Luke Varney, Archie Brennan

New contract offers made and under negotiation (3)
Kevin Dawson, Ryan Broom, Rhys Lovett

Transfer-listed (3)
Manny Duku, Liam McAlinden, Tom Smith

Released (3)
Matthew Bower, Rakish Bingham, Tyrone Barnett

Loan spells ending (5)
Jacob Maddox (Chelsea), Billy Waters (Northampton Town), Charlie Raglan (Oxford United but now free agent), Jordan Tillson (Exeter City), Cameron Pring (Bristol City)

New contract offers turned down (2)
Nigel Atangana, Jordon Forster

Other than Jordon Forster being offered a deal, no real surprises there.

Interested to see where Nige ends up though. I can only assume he was offered terms on reduced terms otherwise I think it shows a bit of a lack of loyalty given he's spent most of the past two years injured.

We're also apparently close to agreeing a deal with Charlie Raglan which will be a fantastic signing.
