Don't everyone rush around making this thread now!

Would probably be alright with a point here given what happened to Southend.

We really could do with a win after losing at Posh.
Charlton are looking good though and are Warne's favourites for automatic promotion.
It's going to be tough but we will get a better idea of how our season is likely to turn out.
A draw wouldn't surprise me but then again neither would a win or a loss.
Let's hope for a good entertaining game and that Mr Kettle leaves his cards in the dressing room cos he hates us.

Karl Robinson says you're favourites because Richie Barker knows his tactics :dk: Mind games I'm sure but you never really know with KR.

Cracking win that! Team looks like going places this season.

Hopefully the Rotherham player who got hurt is okay, looked pretty serious.

Do you watch on ifollow?

Sounded like a solid away performance from us. It's refreshing to see us always looking so dangerous when in attack.

Good win on the road with a good opportunity to follow it up next week at a struggling Oldham.

Best mate getting married yesterday and 3 points for the reds today, not been a bad start to the bank holiday.

3 losses out of 4 is terrible in this division with the players we have.

We lose at Portsmouth next week on sky then Warne should resign.

Our beloved powers that be have yet to agree to joining ifollow, instead sticking with Valley Pass which I'm not paying for since it's just audio. I managed to catch a stream of Rotherham's though on this occasion!

Bit of an over reaction here.
We were poor yesterday, maybe because Charlton were a decent team but we still had enough chances to get something out of the game.
Two free headers and Proctors early miss cost us.

The second goal killed it for us but Kettle should have stopped play for what was clearly a very bad injury.
Apparently even Carl Robinson was calling for his players to kick the ball out.
They didn't and scored, can't blame them for that, the referee should do his job properly and look after the health of the players.

So.............................. we get rid of Warne and company after a potential loss at Portsmouth, pay off him and all his staff, pay more to employ a new manager and his staff just after the transfer window is shut..............brilliant plan.

The new manager then gets to work with players he probably doesn't want, no chance of signing anybody until January, can't possibly fail can it.

Sorry, we have to be patient, it takes time to change players mindsets who were used to losing every week .
Tony Stewart decided Warne is the man for the job, he gave him the green light to sign a new backroom team, he has to stick with him at least until early December.
If things haven't improved by then fair enough you might have a point.but 5 games in surely not.

Just seen a clip of the injury from the Rotherham end.

As unfortunate as it is, Proctor tries to clatter into Solly and comes off worse. Would have been extremely pissed off had we kicked that out of play.

Edit: Now having seen it on the tele I was harsh on Proctor. Came off second best in a shoulder to shoulder but doesn't try to clatter Solly.

It did look like a foul on Procter from the West Stand but I understand you don't always get them.

Charlton played on and took advantage which TBF you want your team to do.
It's up to the officials to stop the game.

I know players roll around for nothing these days and it makes life difficult for referees, but they are well paid to know the difference and should stop the game if there is any chance of a serious injury.

Kettle is a complete knob though, I hope I never see him again.

Charlton were the better team yesterday with Holmes running the show.

It seemed like we were afraid to press high up like we did against Southend because Charlton have a lot of pace on the counter.

We weren't brave enough, we have to play our own game at home and not worry about the opposition.
I hope we learn our lesson sooner rather than later, fans would rather lose having a go than go out with a whimper.

You may have lost three of your first four games but it was to Peterborough who are first in the league, Charlton who are 4th in the league and beat Ipswich Town 6-1 before the season started, and Fleetwood who are 5th in the league now and almost got promoted last year, very strong teams who are probably going for the automatics. It's not like you're losing to shite teams like Oldham and Northampton.
