I wouldn't have bet on us we've got loads out injured, I doubt we will be able to fill the bench again.

Williams, Powell, Tabiner, Nevitt, Holicek, Lunt all definitely out.

Finney, Tracy and Long all doubtful. I don't think Baker-Richardson or Demetriou are fully fit either but will have to play. I can see Notts running riot if truth be told.

Without 2 of our best players in Mullin and McClean. Expecting us to go with 2 bruisers up top in Palmer and Dalby, with Jacob Mendy filling in at left back. Dalby finding the net in the last game will hopefully give him the confidence needed up top.

There's word that Aaron Hayden might be back for this one, which should alleviate the slight injury crisis we've seen across the midfield and defence. Not sure Andy Cannon makes it back for this one, which is a shame as he looked brilliant against Mansfield.

I think the side pretty much picks itself with all that in mind:

Okonkwo

Forde
Hayden
Tozer
O'Connor
Mendy

Evans
Jones
Lee

Dalby
Palmer

11 changes from Tuesday, with just James Jones featuring in that match. He'd probably still play on the Saturday if he'd run a marathon on Friday though.
We still have Hawkins and Nadesan out injured and Nichols seemingly carrying a knock, so Bonne is pretty much our only fit striker at the moment.
Clemence’s first league game in charge so looking forward to this one.
Oh, and the pull of massive Wrexham meant we sold out in 10 minutes for this.

Looking forward to welcoming another proper football league club to the Cae Ras. Hope they enjoy the day out (besides the match of course).

Gillingham players will be running round like blue-arsed flies now, trying to impress Ray Clemence's son.

A similar result to the last meeting will do me. Bonus points for a cracker of a winner to boot! Another sell out away following, fair play lads. My old neighbour in Telford is a Gills fan couldn't get a ticket and we are one of the closest games for the lad.

How have McGee & Hendry looked? Both excellent players for us at this level.
McGee generalky very good, hard to understand why those calling the shots at FGR felt Doohan was a better bet.

Hendry has been quoted as saying he’d prefer to be the deeper central midfielder, but although that might suit his distribution, Regan hasn’t been effective protecting the back 4 in that role and will probably feature in the more attacking midfield slot. He’s been steady and usually one of the first names on the team sheet

Cheers mate, appreciate that.
Last time I went to your place was long time ago.
Hoping for a positive front foot performance for a change.
Please try not to score early though as that tends to bugger things up for us!

I was there in 2000 when Gillingham invaded the place ready for a promotion party, yet we beat them 1-0 even though we had nothing to play for.

The flying pig in goal Kevin Dearden had the game of his life.

We'll do quite the opposite, we love a late goal.

An early goal for Wrexham is more likely to unnerve us than you.

If you don't like goals then that's good for the old ticker, at least the heart attack rate in the crowd will be lower than the early stages of the season!

Doohan, along with the DoF that signed him have both long gone thankfully. Swapping him in for McGee seemed more about contacts rather then ability. January was an expensive and pointless shit show.

Not that our recruitment seems to have got a lot less scattergun since tbh, not helped by the fact we seem to constantly sign injury prone players.

Conor Thomas and Charlie Colkett just back from a long lay offs as well. Think it's fair to say we'll have maybe 9 players with no fitness question marks over them.

I have a sneaky suspicion Long and Tracey might be involved. At least I hope so. Get those 2 back and we have a chance. If they are both missing, the only fit attackers we'll have are CBR and Rowe. Only CMs we'll have are Thomas, White and Colkett. Would snatch your hand off for a point right now.

Certainly an interesting game tomorrow away at salford to see how we respond to going out of 2 cups in 4 days.

Whereas the port vale loss was deserved, the wrexham wasn’t - but again that’s in us as yet again we fluffed our chances.

The question is will mansfield do what mansfield do and fall apart or will they regroup and keep going?

For me, despite missing akins upfront i’m a lot more confident in this bunch than in previous years, and i’d back us to get something tomw. COYS

I'm predicting a 0-0, or a 1-0 to us with a late winner coming from Elliott Lee.
Wouldn't be a bad shout, although I think we'll score in this one at least. 2-1 to Wrexham, Palmer and Lee for the hosts, Bonne for us.

If that’s what you think fair enough, we had more than enough chances.

Either way, had we took ours we’d have won, we didn’t, we lost.

It’s why we’ve drawn so many games instead of won in the league (you in the league for example! lol)

I've got my fingers crossed that the lineup announced at 2pm as John Bostock in it. He will be needed today to pull the strings.

Alexander has gone 4-4-2 so he's already won over the section of our fanbase who think there's no other way to play football.

Reckon we might slip up at Swindon today, no matter what's going on behind the scenes they have some very good players

Rovers start with both Luke Norris and Dennis, though have to see if as a pair of part of 3 up. Unsure if they’ll be the silver bullet some hope though.

Given their injury crisis FGR have put out a reasonable looking team and I don’t fancy our out of form defence against Troy Deeney

1-0 down within 30 seconds, top bants. I’m working but can’t say I’ll regret missing Pete Wild publicly jizz his pants again when the goal went in.

Very intense first ten minutes but couldn't sustain the pressure, Swindon have come back into it and could've scored. They're at sixes and sevens defensively though

Fuxache.

First Swindon score with a jammy deflection, now our dynamo Sarcevic has gone off with a shoulder injury.
