Don’t win today and any faint hopes are gone, so basically our season ends today.

Yeah I’m not against it, going to be difficult today I imagine no idea what to expect other than that though. No idea on numbers but that be a great effort, weirdly enough I spotted on twitter a few gas slagging us off for not selling out our allocation
I think us losing to Oldham may have been a bad thing for you, no way Barton will allow that again.

Although we’ll probably get spanked now I’ve said that

Bit of a downer that Evans is out but at least Taylor returns to steady the defence.

Quite a few Poolies at Crawley. Kudos. It's a long way to travel.

No Nichols today. More injuries!

Northampton, that following is absolutely woeful.

Why so few? Is the football that boring!?

Rovers missing loanee striker Paul Glatzel, which is a blow though Jolley played well with Hemmings in the Rochdale game.

Most have prioritised other games I think. 1500 at Walsall last week for a similar length of trip but a day on the piss in Birmingham appeals more. My group of 10-15 haven’t bothered today for example.

Floodlight problems at ours, game yet to start. Be a huge result if this gets called off.

I normally try to avoid dwelling on the officials but these are absolutely terrible. Fear they are going to decide this game.

Northampton clearly a good side and had the better of it so far though we are getting more into it.

Our commentators saying they’ve given us some rather strange decisions so far

He is very inconsistent with what he is letting go. He’s the same one who fucked up with his timekeeping between Orient and Hartlepool. Doesn’t inspire confidence in him.

About as ugly as league football gets. No space, no quality, physical, niggly and frustrating. Windy conditions, no chances for either side, god awful pass completion.

Peter Clarke has been clattered twice by a leading elbow, leaving the Walsall fans apoplectic thinking Clarke was feigning injury. Yeah... Clarke doesn't do that.

We need to calm down and not be drawn into the antics, and try and get hold of this. As it stands, this could go either way, probably with a dubious penalty.

First ten Crawley were looking very dangerous. Hit the bar twice. Since then it's all Pool. Unlucky not to score a couple more. Last ditch blocks and the like.

We are looking powder puff in midfield and the ball played to Boogle's feet is always on.

Kick up the jacksy needed for us

Dull game this, we’ve got dragged into Northamptons style and it doesn’t over suit us. Northampton had plenty of the ball but neither side has created much, we had a great chance from a corner first minute and Wilson didn’t connect with a header from six yards properly and Holy smothered an attempted from them in between.

It’s not a classic.

Yeah pretty scrappy would take a point the run we have been on.

Yeah its a poor one today, generally we have a solid enough away support but no arguing its not great today.

The game itself has been exactly what I expected, a tight affair, few chances. The linesmen on the Vale side has been hilarous, one of those where there are long awkward pauses where he is waiting for the referee to decide so he can agree with him.

We started well but outside of a shot from Lewis have not really created anything despite having more of the ball. Why we are starting Danny Rose is beyond me, hes terrible and spends more time trying to win cheap fouls than actually playing.

Vale havnt really created anything either. Worrall as always looks dangerous and has been it in a few good deliveries but neither keep massively tested. One goal should win this.

Hopefully we see Lubala on for Rose shortly.

Sounds like we’re a bit sideways and backwards. 1 goal nicks it you’d think (like most of our games)

Sounds like Rovers not playing the right ball through to the attacking players, could go either way with either a moment of skill or a strange decision from the referee.

Delay at Crawley. James Tolley took a volleyed clearance straight in the face. Out cold. Stretchers on etc. He has moved but it don't look good.

Aaaaand we're losing again.

We never, ever score so that's the game.

Our slide down to the NL continues.

Well that sums us up.

Compete all game long and then individual mistakes cost us, we will fall apart now.

F*ck me that is the most obvious penalty you’ll see all season and we’ve been booked for diving.

Absolute joke.
