Huge game for us down at MK Dons. 5th v 4th, winner likely stays in touch with top 3. Loser I think has to content themselves with securing a top 7 spot. Not feeling super confident, MK have been in great form at home all season and especially under Williamson. Got a lot of good players as well, especially in midfield. Would take a draw personally.

Mansfield game: Expect Clough to get the better of Alexander. We're dire at home and have been for years. Mansfield will bounce back and put four or five past us.

Notts County game: Same as above.

Just want to blood some youngsters and get the season over with.

Will it be on? Looking at the forecast there’s some concerns. We’ve only got 2 free Tuesdays left for the rest of the season really, 16th and 23rd April.

Rained all day today pretty much and it looks to continue until Saturday. Think it may be off.

Aye, big game for that, given it’s only around an hour on the train you’d imagine they’d be a good 1500/2000 from crewe for that as well to back them on.

Can we derail this relentless Tranmere machine? They have shown they are capable of beating the top sides.

No McClean for us which is a huge miss as he's been outstanding since he moved into central midfield. Mullin looks back to his best though and he'll be desperate to score in this one. Red card it is then.

Won't be anywhere near that many, we sold what MK sent but that was 460 tickets. Albeit its a fairly quick train it's also pretty expensive, looking at about £60 return. Probably be about 700 odd there I'd guess. We haven't exactly got a big fanbase, less than 3500 home fans at the game on Tuesday for instance.

Yeah one of those games i guess you’ve got to book well in advance for to get a good rate, i’ve got one for MK single for £19 in a few weeks on the same line but i booked a month ago. Going to be expensive if on the london line.

Gills away, my most local match and I'm away on holiday. Expecting a tight match here as we're looking very solid. The MK Dons slick passing machine barely had a sniff by all accounts on Tuesday. Remember the Gillingham fans making a right racket behind the goal last season even after we equalised, pretty much sucked the ball into the back of their net to win it. Hopefully we can keep them quiet either with an early goal or just by boring them off the park with a 0-0, which I'd snap your hands off for.

Is McClean back for our match or is it a two match suspension?

As we all know we were going to be the whipping boys of League 2 this season, relegated by Christmas and with the lowest points ever in the football league - even our own supporters were in the belief that this was on the cards - especially with our summer exodus of the experienced players and the recruitment of lower non league players - the same supporters were writing them off even before seeing them play a single minute of football.

What Scott Lindsey has done is absolute miracle transforming them in to a well balanced team and performing well - yes we have had blips, like most team have had this season but have come through this and are now on the verge of the playoff positions - whether we make it or not they will give it ago and now all our supporters are behind them and can't believe what a season we are having - yes, we have some difficult games on paper coming up - firstly home to Stockport next Monday, then away to Tranmere, followed Newport, Mansfield and Wrexham in an 8 day period - which will make or break our challenge for a playoff spot.

Whatever is said about lower league recruitment there are gems waiting to be found and to prove that they are as good as if not better than those already playing in the league - we have found 4 this season and who's to say we haven't unearthed another four for next season already.

Even though FGR will win Saturday I’ll still be very happy with a point away at Gills.
I think we will get it too.

Winning that match pretty much secured our league status, it was loud yes, but I wouldn’t expect the same tomorrow. Last 3 results have sucked the enthusiasm out of the fan base who now think we have very little chance of scraping a playoff spot.

And also, training cancelled today due to illness in the squad and staff members. Lump on Grimsby if you can get good odds.

You didn’t need to unearth Orsi though, he didn’t want to leave us either, was more or less pushed by Hurst. Would have liked to see him up front with Danny Rose. Wilson has been ok when he’s played but mainly a sick note.

I'm not betting that we will win on Saturday. Just the sort of game we'd fuck up....before going on to beat Wrexham 4-0.

Last time we won two league games in a row was under Ian Burchnall, in December 2022. Last time we won three league games in a row....was March/April 2022 (v Colchester, Scunthorpe, Mansfield). Maybe we've turned a corner but we'll see...

Indeed, maximum credit to Scott Lindsay for all he's done at Crawley, and also the owners for taking a step back from their prior season of bullshit, and whoever or whatever encouraged them to do so.

I'll admit that I thought you would be the whipping boys. Sadly that appears to be Sutton. I still think that you and us won't make the playoffs but a good season for us both.

We've got our perpetual bogey side Harrogate in a game we really need to win to put pressure on MK and Crewe. A draw there and a loss for one or more of the top 3 would mean beating Harrogate would put is right back on the automatic places mix.
We did actually manage to beat them away for only about the 2nd time ever. Fingers crossed.

Despite tuesdays result for bradford, tomorrow will be a tricky game, especially after our disappointing result on tuesday ourselves.

They’ll be a healthy backing and i imagine most mansfield fans will be having a look at what’s going on between MK and crewe, i’d happily take a point now if they drew as well, but sadly doesn’t work like that.

Our record against the good sides is actually pretty decent, we’ve got points off most of the play off sides/top 10, compare that to losses against Sutton, FGR and drawing down at Colchester and at home to Grimsby (the current bottom 4 for example).
In that respect I have some level of confidence that we’ll at least put up a fight tomorrow, not saying we’ll win against a much superior side but we definitely play a much more ‘respectable’, rather than pathetic, game against teams higher up.

So would I. I think one of you could really do with winning to put pressure on Mansfield, Wrexham and ourselves.

I think MK will win but Crewe have proved me wrong a few times this season.

Have I missed the joke about why you're overly talking us up in the past few weeks? Every thread recently you've been calling our games easy Crewe wins, now you're making ludicrous away crowd predictions. Can you explain the humour, because it's going way over my head.
