Sometimes you really have to laugh at the state of refereeing at this level. Just a pathetic decision to disallow that McGoldrick goal, not only is it not handball there’s also no way the officials would be able to see it even if it was.
Hahaha, very clear handball.

Notts are falling apart, again.

Jodi Jones looked a good player but that Notts backline is costing them. On form, Mullin would've had us out of sight an hour in.

Thought we looked good value for that.

Langstaff anonymous in a big game again. For such a good player to go missing so often is a head scratcher. Needs to work on that if he's going to get his big move, for all his goals the rest of the time.

Missed a great chance early on then nothing. Very unimpressive.

That’s on mansfield today tbh.

As said after we scored 9 the other night i maintained today would be a different story and it was - we should’ve been out of sight at halftime, 4 brilliant changes gone begging.

2nd half walsall came out and tbh were the better team 2nd half for me, especially after tie incredibly odd decision to take swan off.
Fair assessment mate I'd agree with that said you should have been 3 up at half time.

Jones has immense quality going forward but he is a liability defensively in that position. Got a few whacks second half and then didn't want to know, was hardly in the game second half. I would change to a 4-3-3 if I was them and get him as a proper wide player who doesn't have to do much defensively.

Mullin still isn't right, there was a few moments today where you expect him to make more of things but his sharpness just isn't there.

It’s staggering just how bad we are at home.
Luckily for us FGR and Sutton are also shite.

Our game at yours in a couple of weeks will be a crime against football.

Identical to the Stags game, Wrexham better team second half so no huge complaints but that McGoldrick one has, at best, seen about 1/10th of the ball brush his arm. Just had none of those go for us in the big games at all this season whatsoever.
Yep, would say the games away at the top 4 are all games where you can't necessarily complain about losing them because they're tight games away from home, but losing 4/4 is fairly unlucky.

Feels like after next week, if we're still within three points of the playoffs, the fixture list starts to turn and we still have every chance of making the playoffs.

We’ve got Colchester, Grimsby and you in next 6 games. Win them all . . . and we’re still down.

You’d think Colchester should be eyeing up a win next Saturday that will go a long way to making them safe.

When was this last time we fell apart? Last season?

Notts better first half
Wrexham better second half.

McGoldrick disallowed is not clear either way, you need multiple angles and slow motion to help. Obviously the referee with one viewing, real time and poor angle knew for sure :dk:

Langstaff fails to deliver in a big game yet again. Mullin's reported decline is no joke. Shevchenko like decline since major injury.

We are currently trying our best to negate our better players. Frintance. Tsaroulla is a decent , tricky left back/midfielder. I know play him on the right. Every time he gets into a crossing position switches it back to his left foot. We looked so much better when Gordon came on for him and he could cross the bloody ball.

There's some decent players in that FGR side. They ain't a decent team. That look as though they could do with a decent pre season to bed in some patterns of play.

I can’t remember ever hating a GTFC team as much as this one, they’ve already thrown one good manager under the bus and now they’re doing it again to another one.
Disgusting team they can all fuck off except Danny Rose who runs his bollocks off every game.

It's ok Artell has brought in defensive reinforcements to improve the defence, make them solid especially at home

Always liked Town and don't really want to see them down due to login standing family connections but seeing Fishy like this after all that yap at the start of the season more than makes up for that disappointment. When you are beleaguered it's always nice to look down on lowly.

Keep it up Dave.

We keep shooting ourselves in the foot at the moment. Generally a lot more solid now under the Cowleys and seemingly playing with more belief/going for the win etc, but two big goalkeeping errors to throw four points away in the last two games and now an own goal against ten men to drop two points against a side without a shot on target.

I think another point next week is fine really, but it also feels like we could really do with registering a win or two just to ease the situation a little more.

Disappointing mid table meh from Plough lane. Once ahead we should bever have let them back in but they could have nicked it at the end. Frustrating

Not ideal when you look like you need a pre-season nearly 3/4 into the season.

I thought you moved the ball fairly well but slowed things down too much. Not that it mattered to the result.

Not a classic but in a game of few chances we put one away. Great finish by Evans. Gills are a team of giants, didn’t create much. One good save by Tubby Townsend.

My first reaction tonight is bafflement across the league really.

First ourselves, found our shooting boots today but defensively dreadful, scoreline reflected the game. Relegation form over the last 11 games yet (appreciating that we've played more than others) five points into the playoff positions and five points off the autos.

Stockport, top of the league, wanting a reaction to the Crewe defeat, humped 4-0 at Tranmere.

Mansfield, fresh of a 9-2 humping of Harrogate, lost at a distinctly average (as their fans tell us) Walsall.

Crewe, at home against the team fresh off the recieving end of the 9-2, drew 0-0.

Is this League competitive, or downright average?

We fell apart to 2nd place and 107 points? Gotcha, fell apart indeed.

Great chant :2thumb:
Wasn't quite 111 points!

Thought today was very entertaining. Despite the defensive issues, Notts looked like a team who should be battling top 3. Bizarre to see you out of the playoffs.

Think you'll be well equipped to go up next season if you don't sneak up in the playoffs this time. The foundations are there, just a few tweaks are needed.

We just don’t seem to have that impossible to define thing that turns you from a good team into winners this season that we obviously had last year. Games against the top three the best example - we got pumped by Stags at home, but both games against you, Stockport away and Stags away we’ve had more of the play, territory, possession etc but lost all four. Can’t let that keep happening.

Correct it was 4 points less and we both got promoted you just avoided sweating the playoffs and a simply amazing and unforgettable trip to Wembley. I'll take that falling apart every season :2thumb:

We come up short versus top teams and genuinely beat the rest , so in a fair position. Earlier in the season we would have scored in this fixture and at Mansfield but would have conceded far more than one in each. We have lost our L2 entertainers tag quickly, hopefully for the best.

Next season likely to be very different with some likely major departures but hopefully more balanced. Plus with these owners the future looks bright.

Ultimately you need match winners who turn up for the big matches. Langstaff is a brilliant flat track bully but doesn't show up for the big matches. Just look at who he's scored against this season.

I'm not sure where that comes from for you, dropping Langstaff is surely unimaginable so the goals against top opposition need to come from elsewhere.

I've no idea what's up with us this year, we alternate absolute dross performances with hammering anyone called County whenever they rock up to Prenton Park. Best of luck to Stockport for the rest of the season, hope you win the league. And Ben Hinchcliffe is a class act - great sportsmanship with the crowd even after losing 4-0.

Langstaff is never going to create goals for himself - he’s a poacher. Should’ve scored early on today but he’s also never been an amazingly reliable finisher, his skill is getting into position again and again and again.

I think the flat track bully thing is fair but it’s more us as a team and the likes of Jones, Crowley and McGoldrick than Langstaff individually.

We have been a bit unlucky as well to be fair. Literally every single 50/50 big moment in two games against you lot has gone your way.

Speaking of our old striker rivalry, what’s up with Mullin? I thought he was absolutely god awful today, struggled to control the ball.
