Thing is you get that many players nowadays faking head injuries just to get the game stopped that he probably thought he was faking it.
They were already walking off for half-time, so what would it matter even if he was faking it? Egbo just clearly decided to act the c*** and it backfired on him.

He started last week on the left and swapped over to the right as he got no change from the right back.
He's been a disappointment to be honest. He's had injuries and been in a car crash apparantly but I keep waiting to see something in him click but it's not happening. He hasn't got loads of pace, hasn't shown himself to be tricky or able to beat a man comfortably and not really seen him create anything. Even in pre-season against some pretty lowly teams he didn't stand out.
I'm sure if he gets a run he'd improve and find a way to fit but equally if we loaned him out in the window and got someone else in nobody would be upset.

Yeah, I’ve just not seen anything from Randall yet to suggest what he’s supposed to offer. Not had many chances but when he has played he hasn’t stood out at all. That said, he wouldn’t be the first player under LW and at Notts in general over the last couple of years to struggle for a few months but then become a valuable part of the squad once they’d got to grips with it.

Nah, let em suffer with hanging around non-league for the next millennium. I found them a right bunch of twats every time I've been there.

I enjoyed the game on Saturday, felt it was a game played by 2 sides looking to win. Mansfield in particular chucking Aidan Flint up front was an interesting tactic. At the time I questioned why when the ball went up towards him, none of our players challenged him for headers, but it makes sense not to 'waste' a body in doing that and having the extra man to pick up the flick on etc.

The guys around me were adamant we should have had a penalty for handball and down the other end Mansfield looked to have a shout also, either way, nothing doing from the ref for both. Mansfield bringing on Akins changed things for them, nicely taken goal but not very well defended by us. I think Flynn has to take some plaudits here, I've been critical about his 'stubborn' way of sticking to the same game plan, but dropping Austin and having an extra body in midfield was a great tactic. And then being able to bring Austin and Shade on, who helped 'combine' for the winning goal must have been pleasing for him.

It was important to get points on the board after a wretched run. It's a tight league and so if we can put a bit of form together over the festive period, we may be back amongst the play-offs. January is going to be a key period, we're likely to lose Kemp and Young and they are crucial players. How they are replaced and the squad added to is going to be fascinating.

It was an end to end game, like I said a point was probably a fair result but they had a late chance and took it, whereas we missed ours. A enjoyable game to watch to be honest with both sides to thank for that.

Although I still disagree with the decision to put Flint upfront late on, I do admire the fact no matter who we play home or away we will always go for the win in situations like that, we want automatic promotion so let’s just go for it. Just a shame we ended with fuck all Saturday

We most certainly need another attacking option in January as the return from Swan/Gale has been unacceptable, especially from Swan.
