I’m actually furious. We are playing so well, 4-1 up. Why couldn’t they be bothered all season most of this lot!?

Tbf you’re playing Sutton. We’re not even on the beach anymore, we’re back in the hotel nursing a hangover

That Bradford winner makes things very, very, very interesting?
If they beat Crewe they're in with a sniff along with Stockport, if Northampton fail to beat Tranmere.
Cobblers to bottle it again?

Some mildly grim stuff from the hatters fans at the end here, throwing things, etc. You'd think they'd be happy?

Critchlow scores in the 94th minute to hand us a 2-1 win. That's very harsh on Northampton but there's been a lot of games this season where that has happened to us. I'm sure Northampton will still get promoted next week.

Very happy with the late win. Get a point against Crewe and we're in the playoffs. Wahey.

Well, we were on the beach today. Sorry lads. Stockport well deserved winners without actually having to do much. Great atmosphere from all around the ground in the second half. Few County fans making absolute twats out of themselves at the end, there. Jog on so we can lift the trophy.

Bradford have burgled that. Non existent as an attacking entity and a horrendous free kick decision to give them the chance to win it. Fair play they’ve won it at the death but no chance did they deserve
It. But does it matter at this stage of the season?

Anyway time for a shower and a beer or 6

Can’t stand Evans but what a fucking job he’s done at Stevenage. Fair play to the fat fuck.

Your free kick that you scored from was more dodgier.

Non existant attacking entity?. 2 goals and a missed sitter from the rightful league 2 player of the year in the 5th minute, whatever

First time we had the ball in centre mid all half when Clayton came on at the end, made more surprising given the referee had gone over his strict ten second rule to give a free kick Northampton’s way.

We've missed Clayton recently. Hopefully stays fit now for the playoffs and we repeat 2013 playoff final beating the Cobblers again!

Stockport to pip the Cobblers for 3rd spot now I reckon

We could have scored 8 today. You were truly dire, but we did play well for a change too. We simply shouldn’t be in this mess, there is enough in this squad to have had us stay up this season. Managerial mishaps and strange decisions on and off the pitch have cost us dearly. 102 years in the football league down the toilet.

So if Northampton draw next week and Stockport beat already relegated Pools then Northampton miss out by goal difference again?

Crikey you just know it’s happening too.

Heard there was some todo at the end, we do have some weapons following us I'm afraid, hope it didn't spoil everything too much

We are absolutely atrocious when it comes to playing against half decent top 7 opposition.

Barring a set of freak results we’re going to flop into the playoffs, but we’ve got no chance in them. We’re just not good enough.

All so predictable when it comes to these games.

So not only did we put in potentially the worst 45 minutes of the season in a first half, Hewitt our player of the season has done his ACL and is out for the majority of next season. I need a new sport, this one is too depressing.

I do wonder with Orient whether the whole guard of honour, carrying your kids out etc helps plays a part. Can't feel like a normal game really can it. More like a testimonial. They were poor but I thought we played well considering our injuries.

Hopefully we can finish with a win a week on Monday which means at least we'll go into the Play Offs on a decent note. Tranmere could get a result, what will be will be, it's not on our hands sadly. The play offs will be though. I fear that Salford are destined to win the play offs the amount of late goals they are scoring.

Nothing of note happened at Crawley today. Walsall on the beach and Crawley too scared to attack in case it woke them up. Couple of chances either end but nothing really....there was a most atrocious dive by the Walsall 10 in the first half. It was odd. I think the ref didn't book him as he wouldn't have fooled a granny without her specks. Even his own players were laughing at him.

We're safe. Sorry Pools. Looks as though Barrow tried to do you a favour( Let in 3 and 2 players sent off!) Next season has to be different.Wagmi ripped the heart out of the team and the stats obsession is completely counter productive.

Off for a beer.

Get in! What an absolutely remarkable job Steve Evans, his coaching staff and the players have done. I never for one minute believed that we'd be in this position a little over 13 months ago, staying in the Football League was all I wanted and to build on that with comfortable survival this season would have been a great success in my eyes. Such a great achievement, I'm absolutely delighted with how this season has played out.

The game itself today was tense and nervy for the first hour. Almost started spectacularly but Reid's first minute header was correctly ruled out for offside. Grimsby battled well without creating too much, we grew into the game as the half wore on but weren't able to take any of the half chances that fell our way.

Second half was better, we took the lead just before the hour mark, another Reid header, despite possibly looking offside the goal stood and with it the tension eased, from that point onwards there was only going to be one winner. Reid had one off the line before Wildin sealed the win, his persistence to win the ball back in a dangerous area set the chance up, I have to admit I thought Reid had made the wrong option not using Forster-Caskey on the overlap but Wildin took it fantastically to double our lead and seal the win. The pressure totally relieved at that point and it was time to celebrate.

Up the Boro!!

That's made my week. Nothing against Northampton but its superb to finally be the ones to piss on someone else's party for a change.

And Andy Cook - goal and assist when it matters. My POTY.

Well done Sutton for taking the award for the most inept disorganised performance of the year...an award that I was sure we had in the bag. Overall however...we've got you licked in terms of overall consistency throughout the season.

If ever a team summed up being "on the beach" it was you today. At times, it made us look quite good.

Can I ask... your number 8 (the Van Dyke lookalike) Has he ever played football before? Or did he win some sort of fans competition. Comfortably the worst player to play against us in decades.

Really wanted your enormous Barry white lookalike sub to come on, but he couldn't squeeze out of his trackie bottoms !!

Not sure it was and it won’t change anything but it’ll be interesting to see the potential offside for the winner. Looked very tight from my vantage point (no sour grapes before anyone piles in - just what I saw)

I agree you were well on top in 2nd half, what I dispute is that we were non existent up front. Best striker in the league scored again and should have had 2 really.

I always had this down as a City win, more than Crewe on Wednesdsy to be honest. Don't think we will do it automatically, that should be you or Stockport, but I do fancy us in the playoffs.

See you on the league 1 forum next season hopefully
