Two terrible teams, neither of which seemed particularly up for the game. Surprised at Sutton's lack of desire to win, given their league position, as we were absolutely there for the taking. As it was, keeper makes a mistake at the end and they go home empty handed.

Very good first half, some good football played, bit disappointed with the 2nd, could of been 7 or 8 but no tempo second half, understandable I suppose game was won.

Mullin back to the Mullin we know

Away next, hopefully we turn up, doubt it

An awful game of football at Blundell Park today. Struggle to recall two teams so devoid of confidence and talent.
Grimsby scored early, and that was the end of anything. Neither side had a shot on target worthy of the name after that.
Grimsby wont care, FGR should be worried.
Tbh none of Sutton, FGR or Colchester will be remotely missed by this travelling fan

We didn't even play today and, as always, Spanishstag quotes my post

It's a shame it was called off because rumours were swirling that we were going to shock the opposition by playing the low block, counterattacking football aiming for 31% possession and not attempting a short corner.

We will never sadly.

As usual in these circumstances I feel sorry for the travelling fans. As suggested above spend money on the infrastructure of the club to minimise postponements and avoid being tinpot.

Fair does to Accy Manager too, lino gave them a throw from.about 2 yards away, was that bad of a decision he told his players to put it back out-of play so we had the throw in. No chance I'd of been doing that at 3-0 down

About time we thrashed someone. McClean is a beast in the middle, I'd always play him there at home and have Mendy at wingback.
Away, too. Our problem away is that we don't take the game to teams, ever. Only times we really did this were Notts and Tranmere that I can think of, and surprisingly we won both.

Couldn't believe that. Never seen any team do that before. Whole ground applauded it.

Not sure it was a mistake by the keeper. One of those which is hard to dive for as goes through a few bodies.

Relieved with the win. Thought we deserved it overall really and the Sutton keeper was MOTM which included a penalty save.

Oh and one of the worst refereeing decisions you’ll ever see. Sutton player saves the ball blatantly on the line. Should be a pen and a red card. Neither given but a yellow for Saunders for protesting. Genuinely couldn’t believe that!

Well that’s Stockport, Wrexham and away to Salford in a week, seven points and three clean sheets
Maybe, just maybe, we may be getting a bit of momentum at the right time.

Walsall to beat Stockport in the play-off final then… haven’t looked back since the 6-1 win at BP, whereas Notts have yet to recover from the humiliation of drawing 5-5 with us.

We recovered very briefly by deservedly beating in-form Newport away, it has since proved fleeting.

As long as that point from the 10 goal thriller helps keep lowly Grimsby up then I'm happy.

According to your gaffer you deserved to win and were the better team by a country mile.
What a deluded plank.

Didn’t we draw 3-3 with Stockport - with goals from Iwonleague2manageroftheyearwiththelowestbudget and Wevekepttwocleansheetsinarowinourlasttwogames? Or did Weshouldhavebeenfourtthreeupathalftime score in that game?

Stick a fork in FGR. Job done. One down, Sutton and/or Colchester (if they can get our game on) to go.

Odd to see crewe not take advantage of a home banker against morecambe, to trip up after being 2 up is criminal.

Other than that nothing changed at the top of division to stockport not playing

The front 2 were back to their old best today, Mullin gets the headlines but Palmer made mincemeat of that Stanley defence today. Criminal that Dalby has been starting games ahead of him.

We've looked shattered lately so a week off now finally before next game.

Lovely town centre, a couple of good pubs, trains ran on time. We all pretty much expected it to be off but what can you do, train tickets booked so you've got to go.
The pitch is in terrible shape and pretty surprised you all thought it was going to be on.

Wrexham’s title as it stands, anything else would be a massive surprise.

Wouldn't say that, we have another 5 games away from home where we have been utter dog shit. 1 of which is Crewe where that would almost certainly be a must win.

I'd gladly take third though.

Tbh even though we beat them I thought they were the best side we've played since Mansfield they play some good stuff and 3-0 probably flattered us a bit.
