Well we didn't turn up and still should have got something but for a dreadful miss from Wearne in a relatively open goal. The last minute loss is a kicker, but we were never winning that.

Fair play to AFC, for a game they self admittedly (until they get humiliated) don't care about they didn't half make a fuss of coming over and celebrating in front of us in the away end. Just goes to show that their entire mentality for years has been wrong and if they stopped acting like children and made an effort to treat it like an important football match, they have a chance.

It just means we need to get something on Tuesday now. March was always our toughest month and it's a pretty poor start.
Are you saying until they are selling half and half scarfs then they will be still acting like children.

They did absolutely nothing with the ball though they created nothing all game which is why his ‘better team by a country mile and deserved to win’ line is absolute bollocks.
If ever we’ve been completely outplayed I’m an honest guy and will say so but yesterday was far from it.

We wouldn't have scored if we were still playing now tbh. I honestly don't know what game Cotterill was watching. Your keeper was literally sat on a deck chair with a cigar and a whisky whilst reading the paper second half.

Of course I’m not, I’m saying that their petty ‘they don’t exist’ stance that has hindered them in matches for years is acting like children, something they didn’t do this time around and they won a game of football against us for the first time in 7 years.

Pretending the game, the opponents and the obvious rivalry don't exist and then following victory celebrating and showing off about the win is pretty lame stance to take.

You should either be all in or all out regardless this fixture. Can't be a bit of both when it suits IMO.

Lets be honest, moving to Milton Keynes hasn't really worked out too well for the old Wimbledon has it. Down in the fourth tier getting smaller crowds then AFC who are playing back in Merton and have kept all the tradition/identity of the old club.

Good to see as it hopefully puts off anyone else from trying similar.

As i’ve said previously on the matter i don’t specifically have an issue with MK or their fans, for me the guilty party was the FA for allowing such an obscene event to take occur in the first place, one of the bigger cock ups the FA have made.

Just so I'm not being biased, can someone explain why this isn't a penalty?

Well, the ref could not have been closer and if you follow the direction he is looking in, it does not look like the ball came anywhere near either player. I think he is signalling a goal kick so probably went over everyone's head.

Plus, it looks like both players have their right arms round the other, with their left arms free until the Crewe lad gets swung round at the end.

Well you see even our fan base disagrees on this . Lots of younger fans would move on and embrace the rivalry but lots of older who lived through it don't agree.
Got stuck on a train home from wrexham some of them who had been somewhere up north and I realised most of their away support was either not born or below 5 when it all happened. So they will never get it and why would they.
So until my generation dies out in next 30 odd years i don't think you will ever get agreement on this fixture.

It's funny, don't get me wrong, but fuck me it's just a poor standard of refereeing in football. Would it have changed the game? Maybe, maybe not, we were second best in general and deserved to lose - it's just a bit crap that we're all suffering from these kind of official performances.
The guy we had on Saturday Mr Ricardo is newly promoted from the National League . When we were in the National League the standard was awful but I can’t remember one as totally inapt as this guy. Sutton‘s left back only a minute after being booked for raising his hands to an opponent deliberately hand balled a ball played over the top of him right in front of the so-called Ref , he gives the free kick and didn’t even speak to him and prompted booked Brad Walker for questioning his actions. The diving save by a Sutton defender was rewarded other yellow card for a Tranmere player. He was making laughable decisions against both sides all game including giving at least 3 corners instead of obvious goal kicks. Players from both sides were constantly having their heads in disbelief at this clown attics. To say the FA have scraped the bottom of the barrel in finding this guy is an overstatement. They must have found him three foot under the cellar floor.
