Silly me. I closed down my laptop to have shower and while under the water I realised 1st week in January is 3rd Round of FA Cup.
That be reason 3 matches are PP.

Crewe at home, they always seem to do us at Field Mill or at least stop us winning anyway but so far this season we’ve put to bed a few of those kinda bogey teams in Harrogate and Sutton.

You still riddled with injuries Crewe fans? Decent win against Bradford so didn’t know if you’d got a few back.

Opening day we absolutely battered them first half and led 2-0 but they battled back to get a draw albeit we had 1 sent off for a kung fu kick so as ever at home I’m not expecting it to be easy.

Now that was a red! :ffs:

I recall that first half, should’ve got the 3rd just before as well which would’ve put it to bed.

Poor december from crewe but as mentioned with a with over bradford it rekindles top 3/7 talk, and with Wrexham, stockport and notts all not playing this weekend it’s a great chance for crewe to get themselves into the thick of the action.

Another tough game for mansfield, and one of our games in hand being played technically (though these are against FGR and MK dons at home), few knocks and niggles ourselves tbh.

Yep, pretty much our entire midfield is out - we've been playing a 21 year old loan kid with a combination of defenders and wingers in centre mid in recent weeks. I'm not sure if Conor Thomas might be back but I don't think anyone else will be. There's at least a couple of players who are playing through injury at the moment and we don't really have any senior options on the bench. Hopefully we might be able to bring one or two players in this week.

The players have been working so hard over the last few weeks and it's credit to them that we've managed to pick up 4 points from the last 2 games. I think this will be a game too far though. With a full squad, I'd be confident of giving you a game but I think it'll be a comfortable win for the Stags on Saturday.

Definitely if you’re missing an entire midfield. We managed to rest Reed, Quinn and DKD who are all midfielders yesterday aswell which should help, although Reed came on first half as we had 1 off injured. Not sure if DKD is ill or what but even when he came on towards the end looked absolutely fucked mind, scored the goal though. Hopefully he’s alright for Saturday, one of the best in the league IMO.

We do have a knack of being abit meh at home though, unbeaten like but we’ve drew 5 out of the 11 home games we’ve played. Confidence should be high after yesterday’s win and the points return over the Christmas period.

I'd snap your arm off for a point on Saturday. Should have 1, maybe 2 signed but Mansfield are the best side in the division in my eyes and they've only lost once in the league all season. Comfortable win for them in my eyes.

Need to bring in a couple of players really for us to be even competitive vs Mansfield, especially in midfield. On top of that though we have plenty of rumors circulating about us losing O'Riordan and White. So we could be in a position where we're in an even worst position come Saturday. Mansfield were one of the better teams we played on the opening day and were cruising until they got a man sent off. Like others have said I'd snap your hand off for a point but realistically I see nothing but a comfortable Mansfield win.

White should be playing the next two matches as long as he's fit. After Swindon though, his future is up in the air.

With Blackburn I think that comes down to if there's any interest in their player, Hayden Carter, from other clubs. I reckon we may end up keeping COR until the back end of this month if I'm honest. I could be wrong though.

only thing that makes me a tad less optimistic is the fact we are at home, still unbeaten but struggle to perform like we do away, where we are clearly at our best and most comfortable.

My 6th (I think, getting on a bit!) visit to Bradford, and always a good day out.
Overall W8 L4 D3
Away W3 L3 D1
We haven't lost in last 8 games against them.
2-1 win (he said hopefully)

Barra away. Would be delighted as a point. Don't know who comes in for Apter now he's gone back, but we're in great form and Barra haven't lost at home all season - should be fun! Cue incredibly dull nil nil...

I'd take a narrow defeat at this point. Heck, I'd take scoring, which has become a real issue for us over the last couple of months.

Defeat here isn't the end of the world, got 2 very favourable home games coming up against Swindon and Salford, so every chance to pick up 6 points in those games. Avoid a tonking and more injuries on Saturday and I'll be content enough.

Adkins won’t be on the bench directing operations either, after his sending-off. Danns seems like a nice bloke but not so sure I’d pick this game for him to hone his management skills, even if NA will be directing behind the scenes.

I’m going, not seen a Rovers away win since 2009, so the omens not good.

We don’t “tonk” anyone at home, we’ve scored 16 in 11 games. We've scored 3 twice - a 3-2 win over Stockport and a 3-0 win over Morecambe. If we had a forward that could actually score we'd be lethal (not including DKD as he's an AM)

We score 1 for about every 15 we create

I`d gladly take that. I wasn`t overly impressed by Barrow at our place first game of the season despite their 2-1 win and have been expecting them to fall away sooner then they now seem to be doing but credit to where its due they have stuck in there. Obviously losing Apter is a big blow as he was the outstanding player for us in the last 6 weeks or so (Notts County`s manager said they couldn`t handle him and described him as the best player he has seen all season). I`m assuming it`s going to be Hawkes who is going to have to step up to the plate. One thing that has been noticeble for us over these last 10 games is that when somebody has been injured or suspended the change hasn`t effected the team too much (McAlear and Norris against Notts for example both of whom had very good games on NYD) so hopefully the same might happen here although Hawkes is nowhere near the impact player Apter is. And anyway who knows we might be able to do a deal with Blackpool prior to Saturday, pick Robbie up on the bus on the way North and all with be well with the World.

It's a wee bit surprising that Forest Green are more than 2/1 outsiders to beat Salford.
i appreciate that Salford are at home and that they may get a new manager bounce, but given that it's Wednesday and they still haven't appointed anybody, it doesn't leave much time given that folk on here have said they've been terrible recently.
Of course FG's form is bad as well. Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out to be a great match to watch?

You think losing to Wrexham away and drawing with league leaders is falling away

Funny...it would be a bloody miracle!

Seriously though, our recent home games against Gillingham and Wimbledon were reasonably entertaining...I feel that we have turned a corner at last, hopefully a positive, but previous corners have only led to a dead end!

Creepy at home:

We don’t lose many at home - I think it’s 2 in 12. Problem is, we’ve won just four times on home soil this season.

The re-introduction of Jake Young should give the lads a bit of a boost and despite us losing at Crewe on NYD, we were in very good form leading up to it.

This is exactly the type of game we tend to lose - the history books all but confirm it. Although, all seems well since Alexander took charge - we’re a bit of different animal these days.

We’re still missing talisman Jamie Walker. Nothing seems to be linking up right in that final third. I do wonder whether he’ll drop Odour for Young for this one.

I remember us discussing your lack of away wins what must be about five years ago - you're a bloody curse, Boz(!) I can't make Barra for a change, but if you can stay away from Swindon I'd appreciate it!

Lol. Swindon is on my to do list, but not this season. After Barrow likely to get to the Yorkshire aways and maybe one or two more; Gillingham or Newport as either would be a new ground for me. I’d never seen Rovers win at Wembley until the Connor Jennings play-off, so my luck’s gotta change eventually…
