With Chesterfield on the first Saturday October, we're getting the local games in early doors!

Luton (h)
Stevenage (a)
FGR (a)
Mansfield (h)
Notts County (a)
Barnet (h)
Grimsby (a)

FGR on a Tuesday night isn't great.

I'm still struggling to match us up against opposition to be honest and see where we're likely to be. You'd fancy the league starting to settle down after this month with 7 games.

Grimsby A - Draw. Going to air on the side of caution and predict a draw from this one. Whilst we've had a decent start, a few injuries might affect us. Always take a point away from home.

Chesterfield H - Draw. Hard to know what to make of them so far, had a terrible start, but some talented players in the squad. Usually give us a very tough game, so might have to settle for a point out of this one.

Cambridge H - Loss. See above. Should be doing better than what they are, glad Berry has gone, apparently he was awesome in this fixture last season. Uche will be fired up for this one, think we'll lose by an odd goal in 3.

Exeter A - Loss. Should be top 5 material, losing Wheeler and Watkins will hurt, but Tisdale is a good manager and knows how to get the best out of his players. Think we'll be coming back North with nothing from this one. I'd take anything better than the 4-0 thrashing we got there last season.

Carlisle H - Win. Will be a very tricky game, but we seem to do ok against these guys at home. Think we can get at their defence as well. Got to predict a win somewhere.

Wycombe A - Loss. Away. On a Tuesday. Down South. Against Wycombe. Yeah, this aint going to be pretty. Akinfenwa to continue his yearly owning of our defence, next!

Coventry A - Draw. Would be nice if we could get a win out of this one. Be interesting to see where they sit going into this one, because they started well but have lost their last 2. Would take a point, especially as we've had their number at the Ricoh in recent years.

Very tough September. Bar Grimsby, all of those teams could expect to be in the promotion race, so it could be a difficult month for us. This is where we show if we are serious play off contenders or mid table fodder.

Chesterfield are complete pants - I don't see them drawing or winning against us, whether home or away, until they sack Caldwell and get somebody who is actually decent.

Crewe Home - Draw, but really hope we can beat them to bring their smug fans down a peg or two.

Mansfield Away - Win. Mansfield buckling under the weight of being the soi disant champions elect. Fatty fatty toad boy sent to the stands in another fit of rage, hopefully we can get him escorted out the ground again.

Accrington Away - Lose. Kayden Jackson hattrick. I'm going for my 3rd 4-1 defeat at the Crown Ground here.

Yeovil Home - Lose. We'll be too complacent and they are improving and added a few decent players, I think.

Newport Away - Jesus Christ, there are a lot of matches in September. I don't know? Lose? They're supposed to be rubbish but they have Podge now.

Colchester Home - Pretty much the most boring club/team in the division. Does anyone even know any of their players now that Porter is at Crewe? One of us will get at least a point here - GUARANTEED.

LINCOLN AWAY - WIN. THE BIG ONE. EXPECT A 25+ PAGE MATCH THREAD WITH LOTS OF CAPS, COWLEYS AND CÚNTS. Not mentioning any names, Impish. :D

Carlisle away - LOSE - never a good record here, and they'll be smarting after somehow getting dicked by Lincoln last week
Grimsby home - DRAW - never the best record against these lot, and a full away end - draw will be fair
Wycombe home - WIN - Tuesday night at home, we should be alright
Lincoln away - DRAW - Lincoln should have enough about them to potentially hold us to a draw.
Cambridge home - WIN - Could easily be a draw, still think their side is under-rated
Cheltenham away - DRAW - shouldn't be losing here
County home - WIN - Well, its Notts Co, beating them is as obvious as the sun rising in the morning, it raining in Manchester. It just well, is.

Grimsby A - Draw. Usually win here but I will stay cautious with us having a couple of injuries.

Chesterfield H - Draw. Think they are probably better than there results suggest. Be a tight game I think

Cambridge H - Win. Fully expecting Uche to score, but think we will edge this

Carlisle H - Win. Raynes winner in stoppage time

Exeter A - Loss. The unbeaten run has to end at some point and this looks just the sort of game for it to happen. Probably 3-0
Wycombe A - Loss. Back to back defeats for us here, Akinfenwa to terrorise us as always

Coventry A - Win. Our record vs this mob is very good, we love a win at the Ricoh, so can see us bouncing back vs these.

A slight improvement in results for us but no better performance wise and a few more sending offs to boot.

A lot of very winnable games in September (Lincoln apart). Think we will get our first away win at Wycombe with it being a local game and a big away support. Traditionally we've never played well when we've had to travel far in midweek which is why I've put down a draw for Morecambe who on paper at least we should beat. Swindon and Newport (the surprse package) could give us a game at home and as I've been a bit too optmistic maybe one of these could end in a draw. If my prediction comes off that should put us top of the league. However predictions are based partly on optimism and each teams current form, reality however is something entirely different.

1 point from 21, bottom of the league and we've sacked our captain who we rejected 100k for two months ago.

Not the ideal month tbf.

Well, we didn't show if we were play off contenders or mid table fodder. On this months form we are relegation candidates. Only predicted 6 points and we got 3, so I knew it would be a tough month. Didn't think it would be this tough. Hopefully October is a hell of a lot better. Can't get much worse tbf.

I didnt do too bad with my predictions. Spot on apart from the Swindon game where we played with 10 men for a large period and couldn't adapt.
