Sheffield United could give a debut to new signing Cameron Carter-Vickers, after the defender joined on a season-long loan from Tottenham on Friday.

Blades striker Leon Clarke serves the second game of his three-match ban for his red card in the win over Barnsley.

Derby County winger Johnny Russell is a doubt after suffering a groin injury against Bolton last weekend.

Tom Lawrence is therefore standing by to make his full Championship debut for the Rams.

My first game in absolute donkeys but the first of many again now I'm back in the country, had to settle for a couple of tickets in the home end after the sell out though. Looking forward to a day on the pop in town, reckon it'll be a 2-1 either way. A late winner from either side.

Why do we bother.

Weirdly United didn't convert any of their created chances, just took all 3 we presented them on a plate. (Or the two they had to convert..) Could have been worse but Carson pulled off a couple of top saves.

Didn't get in until quarter past 3 so missed the first calamitous goal, United in complete control up until half time. Aided by a class finish from Russell into his own net.

We did ok second half but never in the game, the third conceded just as embarrassing as the other two.

Good time for a break, lot's of work to be done on the training ground with our lot.

A surprisingly comfortable and well deserved 3-1 win. Goals change games, we scored a fortunate very early goal and an early lead gave SU and the fans loads of belief. Derby never recovered from the set back and only started showing attacking intent in the final 5 or 10 minutes.

Last week we outclassed a really poor Barnsley team that had relegation written all over them but then they go and beat Sunderland 3-0.

This week our midfield dominate the match and we have slightly more quality than Derby who had a few attacks in the 2nd half but never looked like scoring.

We're getting used to the new league so I'm confident we'll get better throughout the season, so it augers well for a comfortable top half finish (maybe even threatening the playoffs).
