not seen a match thread as yet, bit surprised as the imps are bringing about 4K!! I’m lincoln living, so travelling with lincoln mates few sherbets then into the home end. I reckon this will be tight, lincoln seem to be wobbling, Cov appear to have put the brakes on our issues and back to winning ways. Hopefully it survives the weather, okay at minute but it’s through the night I’m concerned. 2-0 or 3-1 Coventry. McNulty and JCH to share the goals. Be an interesting drive back to lincoln on the coach !!

Fair play to Lincoln. 4000 at Coventry is pretty special, especially in this weather. What kind of football does Cowley play??

Not sure how many of the 4,000 will make it there, mind.

Could've done with this game a couple of weeks ago, really. We've lot our way a little and losing two on the spin and conceding 7 in the process is very unlike us. Not been helped by injuries and having to move people around but even taking that into account we've still fallen well short of standards set over the last 18 months.

How's JMD doing? I can kinda guess...

Frustrating!! He obviously has talent, but as you experienced, he doesn’t seem interested and certainly doesn’t put a shift in. We have picked up last couple of games so a bit hopeful. Though cowley hasn’t lost 3 on the spin for you guys...yet!! Leaving from the Anchor about 9, hopefully weather tonight holds off

I'm suprised this is still on , not because of the Ricoh but the travelling from Lincoln. I'm in Norfolk and it's still really bad here and snowing bad as I post.
If it's on I can see a close match , with hopefully us sneaking it.

9.30am discussions about areas around the Stadium, so we're just waiting on that.

The Coventry end seem to think we have lots of injuries so have forced it off but we only have two this weekend - Vickers who's been out since January and is probably out for the season and James Wilson who's also been out since January.

Aside from those two, we're fine.

Looking at the Lincoln tweets this morning it's clear they have pushed for this.

There hasn't been a game called off at the Ricoh in its history and there have been worse conditions than this.

First game called off at Ricoh. At least Lincoln fans can watch their first teams today and not make out they support Lincoln for another week

You guys will have definitely wanted it on given the Legends Day, bigger than normal crowd etc but I don't think we'll have wanted it off. We already have re-arranged Mansfield and Wycombe midweek games.

There's no reason from our point of view not to have it on - we don't have an injury crisis, we have re-arranged games already to fit in and we've trained this week as well.

People your end who have been moving snow this morning have been saying it's the amount of snow actually in the stand that's the issue.

Tbf in half hour from Coventry and it’s bad around here overnight and yesterday evening (work even closer to Cov) so image the surrounds are a problem in fairness.

Nothing to do with us,
We played a midweek game at Carlisle in snowy conditions in 2003,40 Lincoln fans got, we won 4-1.
All the games in the area are off too, its common sense.

Do away fans make the decision these days? I thought it was the match official.
I love all this conspiracy stuff..

Not today, it was called off due to off the field issues.

Yes, the Coventry forums are showing some right vitriol, some blaming the Imps fans and DC for hoping the game is off!

As other Imps have mentioned, it's nothing to do with us and there were already a number of away fans in Coventry for the game. Guess it's always easier to blame someone else eh?

Genuinely never heard anyone accuse the *away* team of deliberately getting a match postponed before.

I bet if it was a Wasps game they would have had it cleared.
Yep. Its a rarity for a televised rugby game to get called off. Saracens were early in the season because of dangerous approach areas and they got caught out by a sudden freeze. Anything in and around the stadium can get sorted with notice of the cold snap, as we've had, especially at a modern one like the Ricoh. But then it is the Franchise that owns the Ricoh and they won't give a feck about the tenants.

I'm surprised Cov didn't do a Carlisle and get volunteers down there first thing with the temptation being a free match ticket.
Carlisle is on because the club asked for help, and they are close to the arctic circle up there and managed.
If we would have done that hundreds would have got straight down there.

Franchise v London Irish tomorrow - I'm sure that will be on, they wouldn't want the pitch fecked up for it.

The decision was made by Coventry City, Ricoh Arean and the stakeholders involved in overseeing safety for all. LCFC fully support the outcome of the meetings held early this morning.

Anyway, a few groups have ended up in the Bournemouth end at the Leicester game!

The Ricoh Arena 'stadium team' have made sure the Wasps match is on today. I I bet they didn't help CCFC yesterday. They do not care about us.
