That cross from Walcott deserved a goal.

We've managed to hire another loser that's less qualified than the previous one.

Fantastic to see after all the time wasting by the supposed home team. Good to see Lallana to find the net too after all the shit he gets.

Pretty much a repeat of what we saw at the Euros, lack of creativity and intelligence going forward, suppose it will take more than a few weeks for Sam to sort it out, still not convinced with Rooney's new role think he's wasted. Thrilled we got the winner gets us off to a winning start and hopefully we wont be playing catch up at any point in the group.

Minnows Malta and Scotland up next at Wembley with an away game at Slovenia sandwiched in between. Qualifying all but sewn up.

The pundits are talking absolute bollocks. The fact that the ball his Sturridge doesn't matter, it's whoever kicked the ball that matters. An offside player doesn't become onside because the ball deflects off someone, and vice versa, it has to be intentional.

I always thought it had to be intentional as well to be classed as offside and im amazed nobody from the commentry to the pundits even mentioned it seen as though they've played the bloody game.

Stones what a classy player. Once England scored, they never looked like conceding the equalizer.

I bet you fucking hated it when that ball hit the net.

When Michael Owen scored against Argentina at France '98 I immediately turned the telly off and went to bed crying.

Rivalry aside, having such a big core of Liverpool players in the England side today is a poor do, seeing as the current Liverpool side is in midtable purgatory thanks to these players.

And the previous seasons. They didn't just become average, they've proved it. Sturridge being the exception, but he's not getting picked for Liverpool at the moment.

Meanwhile, winners such as Vardy and Drinkwater, two players in form right now, are sat on the bench.

Wayne Rooney sitting deep is the biggest foreshadowing of what's coming.
