That was wetter than a cucumber in a women's prison, we were shocking though, glad to have another crack at it really!

Agreed - we hadn't got going at all! It was a really poor first half performance.

We always get better in the second half of every game though and I was quietly confident we would get a few chances to nick a winner. Oh well, back to Swindon on a Tuesday night.

I find it unbelievable that bookings still count for an abandoned match!! Its ludicrous.

Yeah if a player scores it's wiped from the records, but if he's booked it counts and could get him suspended.

So really was that bad then? Couldn't really believe it when I was checking scores earlier.

How tinpot! Having a game abandoned in August for a bit of rain

I know you jest MJA but saying it was a 'bit' of rain yesterday is like saying a 'few' people died in the Second World War!

Good result for you yesterday, going well my friend!

What a ridiculous ruling by Swindon to charge full price again for the rearranged fixture, for both their own fans and ours. Surely that will massively hit the attendance? Already a lot of Rovers fans seriously reconsidering re-attending. What was one of the most looked forward fixtures has rapidly gone downhill.

Dreadful, really. Thought it would be a tenner to cover costs. I'll think twice about going.

Even worse for Rovers fans with getting drenched as well. Bit of a PR disaster.

I'm a bit pissed off with having to pay full price, I don't think I'll bother now,
Full price being charged because of high policing costs is a load of rubbish, half price would cover this easy!
What a way to treat there own supporters as well who are not season ticket holders having to pay full price, shit club!

I wasn't expecting a free ticket, but just seems mad really. It seems to have put so many off already that surely they're going to have a highly policed game with the capacity of an early cup game. People in the covered away section will have paid £50 on tickets for one league 1 game.

I think 50% would have been a compromise. As I said on the other thread, if Wycombe can do it then I'm sure Swindon can afford to.

5000 paying full price is the same as 10000 paying half. The outraged few may well have mellowed come match day, though.

I think its shameful that we are charging full price.

Not surprised the Rovers fans are so pissed off, I think its totally out of order.

This was the point for me, there's no chance of us selling our allocation again for a Tuesday night. We did a Monday night (?) on Sky at Swindon a few years back and our following was pretty poor.

Half price I doubt many would have complained, it's not a refund like we've had in the past but at least its not piss taking territory. Interestingly I see the Swindon Trust have complained.

Rovers are running free coach travel to anyone who went to the first game, nice gesture

It's £500 to park up, though!

Those fans coming by coach are being charged a 'travelling surcharge' to cover the costs of tarmac use at the CG

It's only fair

As if the initial blow of no refund and no discount on the rearranged fixture wasn't bad enough, now fans have only been given an option of the covered stand, so only the £25 tickets and not the £19 ticket option.

Could be either, I'm certainly not gonna pay more than I did before though. As if the first decision wasn't stupid enough

FWIW Rovers fans, a large % of our supporters think Power is making a mistake. Its almost like he is brazenly deliberately trying to fleece the away fans as much as possible.

Whilst you have to understand that he is trying to run a business, which can be a cut-throat environment, I think he has gone about this extremely badly (not that it matters to him one iota).

It's an extra game that hasn't been budgeted for - it's 'free' money for the club once expenses have been paid. If we get 10,000 (unlikely) it would be like putting nearly 500 on our season's attendance average.

Shitty thing to do cos the club would still have made plenty at £15 a pop.

I think we will be lucky to sell the 900 as there are plenty of Rovers fans trying to implement a boycott via social media. personally i missed the 1st game due to family wedding and am undecided if i'll attend although i expect to be heavily influenced by peer pressure and alcohol on saturday!

Utg!

Not sure there's an official 'boycott' as such, like the EFL stuff, but more just a general anger about the whole situation which will lead quite a few to not bother.

An okay compromise is half price, I've said that previously. Power makes a bit of profit, fans are okay with it, everyone happy. Unfortunately acting like this Power has both lost out on money and made himself look a moron.

Anyway, I was tempted to go at the same price but I think increasing it from last time will probably put me off. Lot of football coming up.
