Crawley are probably going to be setting a low points record this season.
They better not, that's our record.

It's also Luton's but they were deducted 30 points so they weren't actually woefully inept.

I don't think a team will ever be as bad as we were.

26 points can't be the record, we got 25 in 2009/10

Also picked up 26 in 2001/02 and 2004/05. No deductions

Wasn't that in L1? We got 26 in L2 which is what we were referring.
No the record is 20 points by us in 97/98, wish it wasn’t
Division 3 is technically different to L2 so this wasn't counted on the website

I don’t normally do these and will probably be way out:
1: Salford
2: MK Dons
3: Bradford
4: Wrexham
5: Mansfield
6: Donny
7: Gillingham
8: Sutton
9: Grimsby
10: Notts County
11: Stockport
12: Walsall
13: Crewe
14: Tranmere
15: Barrow
16: Swindon
17: Colchester
18: Accrington
19: Harrogate
20: Wimbledon
21: Newport
22: Morecambe
23: Forest Green
24: Crawley
Again in my defence anywhere between 5th and 18th could be interchangeable as I don’t believe there’s a great deal in them, luck and luck with injuries as always will be the key.

Just a bit. Northampton are in L1. I know - it’s hardly comprehensible.

Recruitment is not the only factor in having a successful side. Injuries can play a big part (anyone notice that Paul Mullin suffered a punctured lung yesterday - which means he could be out for 2 months or more, and how will that affect Wrexham's start to the season?). Managerial know-how at this level will also help, which is why I see Gillingham and Bradford City improving on last year (Gillingham were very good in the second half anyway, and Bradford's addition of Pattison should be a plus). And MK Dons (the yo-yo team in the mix) deserve a bit more love.

Last season I predicted we'd finish 9th, then he said we'd finish 9th. I jokingly said the other month we'd finish 14th, now he's said we will finish 14th. He's clearly reading my posts. Or he knows about as much as I do: sod all. Definitely the latter, I feel. Had MK Dons to win League One last season. Barrow top 3? Nah. Mansfield down in 13th? Nah.

Genuinely don't know why so many people stick to his every word. He's built up a right little cult following on social media.

"We've just signed this guy, Gab. Is he good, Gab? Gab. Where we gonna finish this season, Gab? What's your favourite biscuit, Gab? Touch me, Gab. Gab."

Reckon he's a Rich Tea kind of guy personally.

It's engagement bait

Bradford have the biggest fan base in the league and are expected to do well so plonk them down in 14th and send their fans into a frenzy on twitter

He generally just reads Twitter and forums and passes off opinions on teams and signings as his own.

When he’s got to make a predictions in pre season he’s screwed as most fans are full of optimism so he has to make guesses based on very little knowledge.

Barrow in 3rd though is wild… pun not intended.

Perhaps it is news that Duncan Ferguson is no longer manager FGR and that he has been replaced by a couple of unknowns but three of the last set of four forecasts have that team down for auto-relegation.
Previously most had them lower mid-table!

Can you post his prediction?

The website says I need to prove I’m 18 by ticking a box that doesn’t exist.
It’s a tiny box that you can barely see but it is there. Here it is anyway:

Not the first time Gab Sutton has used us for clickbait, every time he writes about us is seemingly to goad fans and have his own post retweeted which tbf has worked.

He does it regularly with us specifically for the reasons you've outlined. And the twitter fans fall for it consistently.

We're crap. Our signings are crap. Our players are never fit and so on.

He's actually admitted to 'liking' the signing of Pattison, so that's progress.

As said above, Gab Sutton spends most of the summer asking people on Twitter who they think their best signings are, most exciting young player, how they think they'll do this year, all that sort of stuff.

A month later he compiles other people's opinions into an article that has his name on it.

I'm sure he's a nice guy and he speaks quite well on stuff, but there's nothing original in what he says and I doubt he watches enough games to have strong opinions either way on most of the sides in this league - bear in mind he purports to be an EFL expert, not just League Two. I'm fortunate enough to work in football and I'd consider myself knowledgeable about the National League and League Two because I get to see a lot of both, but I'm not an absolute expert on either, just what I've seen - it's fine to be able to say 'I don't know' at times.

The 'Not the Top 20' guys are much the same. It's good to have a bit of coverage on our leagues, but not when it's all just soundbites and obvious comment.
