Totally undeserved draw vs Maidstone for Dale but makes the journey home a bit easier. Assuming we get through I want someone less that 250 miles away.

The only thing to cheer about all fookin day! Very easily an embarrassing match. Credit to Maidstone though they were IMO the better side.

Us beating Scunny can be seen as one too

Nope it definitely can't. Good win though looking forward to our trip to yours in a few weeks always like it.

Think it was a Barnsley Cardiff semi final? Well Pompey certainly beat Cardiff in the final.

I think it was the year before, when Rovers were knocked out by Derby in the 4th round? I went to that one (Charlton must have already been out) remember a perfectly good Rovers goal being disallowed.
Blimey you're right it was Cardiff. I have to ask though, how many Rovers games have you been to?!

Think we lost 1-0 in that game and had a red card - Aaron lescott I think. Weirdly I can't remember the disallowed goal though.

Maybe I've made the disallowed goal up? Was sure it happened.

I've probably been to about 5 or 6 (that don't involve Charlton) I went a few times when we were in the PL/first season back in the championship as we had Sunday games or international weekends etc which luckily coincided with a good couple of years for your lot.

Off the top of my head:

Play-off final against Shrewsbury
JPT final against Donny
FA cup game against Derby
Went down to the Mem for a 1-1 draw against MK Dons the same year you won POs (I think)
Went to the 1-1 draw at Barnet in the same year.

They were very welcoming hosts. Decent day out and we got to shuffle the pack a bit which should make it easier to field a reserve XI on Tuesday night. Would love a similar draw in the second round.
This is the bummer for so many L1 and L2 sides. The FA Cup is far more important yet managers have had to think carefully about how they picked a side for Saturday, then the tinpot a couple of days later with the latter's must play 5 players who started last game, etc., rule. And Tuesday's games are dead rubbers for so many, grr. But that's a moan for another thread.

Sounds as though we were shite in the first half but still in the hat, yeah!

I was in Cork this weekend and I kissed the Blarney Stone twice. Since then Ireland have beaten the all blacks in rugby for the first time in 108 years, Cork City won the Irish cup and I won £3 on the lotto.

So you may as well give up now as Swindon's name is on the FA Cup this year.

The disallowed goal definitely wasn't made up and if I remember correctly it should have stood.

So you will be at least 5K richer come May time?

I think we are both in the same boat where that is concerned.

I've just had a look at the league for the first time in ages and Franchise, Cov, Gills and us are down there. Not surprised too much about us and Cov, but very surprised to see you guys and Winkelman's abortion struggling this season.

Blackpool away. See, normally, Brackley then Blackpool away to get to the third round would be seen as a great chance. Pity we're shit.
