Glad you mentioned 'Untraceable', Lee, watched it a while ago and couldn't remember what it was called, thought it was quite good.

Watched Sinister the other day and thought it was one of the best horror films I've seen, pretty decent plot as well as jump and scare scenes. Same with the Woman in Black.

Purge 2 disappointed me, great concept like the first but poorly executed.

Really liked The Conjuring, the scares, while clichéd were on point. I'm looking forward to the direct sequel.

Annabelle was garbage, as soon as you see the demon it ruins the film in my opinion. You don't need to see it. (Though they made it work with Insidious, even though I didn't really enjoy them.)

Sinister for the most part was brilliant, the ending let it down big time. Looking forward to the sequel.

I loved Sinister. I appreciated it more on a 2nd watch actually. The first time I watched it, I had just seen Insidious and done my research on Blumhouse and realised they were responsible for a few decent horror films. I went into Sinister with massive expectations and found it darker and less endearing than Insidious. However, when I watched it a 2nd time a few months later, I actually really liked it. I think what put me off initially was that the main character is a knob and I have an irrational dislike for Ethan Hawke (he just looks like an arse). However, the tension and fear of the creature/demon was excellently executed. Also, the thing itself actually looks scary. Too often in films, the creature gets shown early and it loses the fear factor. Not in this. Very excited for number 2.

Murf smashed the horror quiz, though defending champ Spire turned up too late to competently defend his crown. Time to keep a record of the box horror quiz I reckon.

Titles.
Cas - 3
Murf - 2
Spire - 1

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Watched The Purge: Anarchy (2014). Enjoyed it far more than the first.

I remember doing it probably that long ago, some of them really annoyed me though. Still took me a while to remember what some of them were.

Oh Craig, check out Monstrum on PC if you have a decent PC. Game is set on a ship and you're stuck below and you have to escape. Only played five minutes and I shit myself twice.

How have I only just found this thread. This is like a dream thread for me.

Seen a few posts about Sinister, personally I thought it was one of the best horrors I've seen in a while. It wasn't all that scary - ghosts in general aren't scary so Mr Boogie was the only creepy looking character - but the storyline was much more coherent than most horrors I've seen. Watched The Purge: Anarchy this morning and I thought that was decent as well and well acted for the most part.

That's quite a tough one, I'm going to try and put them in some kind of order.

1. The Exorcist
2. The Omen
3. Switchblade Romance
4. The Eye
5. Friday 13th: The Final Chapter
6. Dawn of the Dead
7. Suspiria
8. Misery
9. Zombie Flesh Eaters
10. Freaks

The list could change at any moment.

Honourable mentions for; The Prowler, Intruder, Alice Sweet Alice, Candyman, Dog Soldiers, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Scream, Braindead, Re-Animator, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Burning, REC, Frailty, Final Destination, Audition, Stagefright.
