Hopefully that result was just an anomaly and Cambridge will roll over on Saturday!

The door is fast becoming wide open for us, we are on a roll , playing the best football seen at the CG for many a year, coming into the final few weeks of the season we are becoming the form side in the league. Our run in is not the hardest, but that sometimes causes problems. with our players thinking it will be easy to beat some of our opposition, but hopefully Wellens will ensure they play with purpose !

Not really, though. County and Bury losing has no real relevance to our position. Our hope is to scrape 7th.

Not quite sure on your ‘best football seen at the CG’ either. There’s been an awful lot of dross which beating Morecambe 4-0 can’t wipe away. We were on a similar ‘roll’ just a few weeks ago then lost to Carlisle and Stevenage with dreadful performances - those 2 games have really scuppered our chances I reckon.

Tough away game at Carlisle Saturday now. The players have got to come out fighting after that shambles last night.

Good night for us as well.

Keeps Bury at arms length and Tranmere failing to win means that it's gone from 8 points for promotion to 7 for us I think.

I agree to an extent. however this great run that Tranmere are on has to end at some stage and so I would find it hard to back them using that logic. Oldham draw no bet would be where I would be looking if I was going to have a punt.

At the risk of sounding like a total helmet for crowing after the event, I hope that those that thought 2/1 on Tranmere to win away at Oldham was 'licence to print money' took my sensible advice and went for my tip?

Yeah, I think redjed is going a little bit too far on his analysis. There are improvements for sure under Wellens, but we still stink the place out (we were cosmically awful at Stevenage) in patches, although less stinky than we were under shit brown.

I personally don't think we'll make the play-offs but still harbour hope until its mathematically not possible. The game in hand next week away at Newport is crucial, assuming we don't fuck up taking 3 points off a terrible Yeovil side on Saturday.

I think we have gone from counting our chickens to watching the buggers come home to roost.
Bugger promotion, just stay alive Bury.

I think in League 2 there are no away games that are bankers, the amount of crazy results that happen in this league I’d never fancy backing any away team, although I do agree with them that on form Tranmere looked very good value at 2/1.

Oldham have got better players then Tranmere. On a good day they'll beat them. Never looked like a decent bet to me tbh.

If Oldham had stuck with Wilde after getting rid Bunn and not appointed Scholes for those few games I do wonder if they might had the playoffs?
They were terrible that night of his last game in charge.

Oldham were really well organised and a few key moments decided the game, it’ll be the same on Saturday at Newport I imagine so hopefully we are more clinical at both ends and not gift wrapping goals.

Probably 14+ points for us to get top 3 which obviously isn’t impossible but less likely now. Win Saturday and take it from there..

Don’t worry bud, you can still be massive in league 2 next season as well! I’m sure Orient and Salford cannot wait to hear about it.

Not on last night's evidence, although they got it right tactically and deservedly won the game.
However, Lang was as good as any striker I have seen this season (with the exception of Norwood).

8m 50. Any other team gets a penalty for that, not 1 pointless penalty in 40 games Tranmere. About time Palios did a tinpot shit ref statement. :dk:

We once went 85 league and cup games without a pen and then when we did get one we missed it and ended up drawing because Oxford equalised via the spot

For the uneducated here, what is Electic atmosphere? (I'm assuming that's what the atmo......... refers to) Is it related to Brexit?

I’m assuming the lad meant electric. I’d have edited the title by now..
