Genuinely can't believe we've only won two games and we're 6 points off play-offs... I love that the Championship is so close.

I think we'll break the record for the lowest points tally and highest goals against tally at the end of the season and relegated earlier than anybody else has done before the way its going.

We couldn't hit a barn door before tonight and we're 3 points from the play offs. Mad!

We're on a holiday away from here, bye everyone.

Oh, we've got Bristol City next? Might as well stay here then. [emoji38]

We're going down unless we sack Gary Caldwell. I have no idea who we could and would get in, but if Caldwell stays, we will drop. That's the reality of our situation. We have a good squad of players, but a tactically inept manager woefully out of his depth. I said it weeks back and I'll say it again now, our situation is a carbon copy of Bristol City's last season.

I do think, with a decent squad of players, and some decent motivation, it's pretty easy to get out of League 1.

Having said that, any new manager, especially at this level, is a huge gamble.

I would have pushed the boat out for Jackett but he's obviously not available now. Though to say who would be good now. Could do worse than Holloway?

You can't keep sacking managers and expect to progress. You looked unlucky yesterday from the highlights. Stuck with him. Back him. Football is getting crazy. Lose a couple of games and people call for
The managers head. Nuts.

The frustrating thing is we're not far away from being a good side in this division and winning games regularly but we're just on the wrong of fine margins week in week out. A slight tweak in tactics could be all that it needs, but Caldwell seems stubborn and refusing to do so. So many good balls into the area, crying out for a tap in and no one there.

Yesterday we completely outplayed Brighton for 70 minutes and should have been out of sight, they score a long range goal out of nothing and win the match. Had we converted one on ones and open goals from a few yards out we'd have won the last 3 games and be on 18 points but we've drawn two and lost one instead.

We've had more shots and possession on the majority of games this season but just aren't converting chances. Confidence is low amongst all the players, taking extra touches than needed, looking to pass rather than shoot to give someone else the responsibility. Bottling easy chances. We look strong defensively and teams are stuggling to create any meaningful chances against us but if you don't score then it doesn't matter.

All losses have been by a 1 goal margin and apart from the deserved defeats to Bristol City and Sheff Wed, the others we've been 'very unlucky' to lose as everyone has said but I'm sick of hearing that. So many teams above us are grinding out wins when under the cosh, so what's the point in dominating and failing to win?

Sacrificing a DM for an AM and I think that could be the change that sees us put a few wins together and climb into midtable. Performance wise we're in a false position, playing a lot better than a number of midtable sides, but sadly it's a results business and they have simply not been good enough and why we're where we are.

Why is Gomez not playing? On his day one of the best CMs in the league, 2013/14 he was the Championships best CM. Caldwell must start him.

At a glance at their Wiki page, I'd suggest Wigan don't have a good squad at this level.

Agree with the sentiment, but for a lot of last season we were 'unlucky' not to get more from games. We were heading down though.

If you spent 70 minutes dominating but lost due to a long range goal, surely that's Caldwell doing a good job? He can't protect against a long range goal, and players missing one on ones isn't his fault either.

Either your attacking coach is shit, or you need some better forwards (a lot of teams could use some better forwards...) but it doesn't sound, from what you say, that it's Caldwell's fault

I'm going to laugh when we're relegated come May and I was proven right all along.

We'll be like Wolves though where people keep on refusing to accept we're not good enough, because we "shouldn't go down with that team". This club is rotten.
