God knows how Aiden and his pals made it this far, they are clueless compared to Rick's gang. So long as that little, cowardly pointless priest gets eaten next episode I'll be happy.

The revolving door was a stroke of genius.

God knows how Aiden and his pals made it this far, [...]

I think this episode kinda answers that. They survive because they cut their losses and leave people behind at the first sight of danger.

How come they played a song in the van that was released in 2011, but TWD started in 2010?

How long have they been out there now?

I was thinking the other day how cool a Walking Dead UK would be. I'd watch it.

this is kind of why the spin off Walking Dead they're doing in LA is such a let down. They could have had it in UK or Australia or something like that. But LA? Yeah that's pretty lame.

There's a spin off?

Presumably they could ultimately cross paths though, perhaps that's the thought process. Assuming any thought really goes into it.

the thought behind it is to have the spin off actually start before the Atlanta series timeline. so it actually starts a lot closer to the time when the proverbial zombie shit hits the fan. and they find things out obviously that we'll already know about the epidemic, and they did mention the opportunity for characters to cross over onto different shows (i immediately thought of morgan & probably bob before being eaten by the Hunters)

I just don't get why their first idea is not to get to a ship and find a less populated island somewhere. That's one of the first parts of my zombie apocalypse plan.

Remember when the black guy from the 1st season appeared after the credits in an early episode from this season. What was that all about?

Aaah ha ha. They have a black guy quota. When they kill one they have to put another one in. I wondered who we'd get after Noah snuffed it.

Pretty sure he's following/tracking Rick's group. Shame his appearances are few and far between as Lennie James is a great actor.

One of the best episodes of the WD i've seen was in series 3 'clear', when Rick, Carl & Michonne find a crazy Morgan in his booby trapped home. Lennie James is THE best actor on that show, the way he delivered in that episode and especially when hes describing watching his son being biten, eaten alive and turned by his own mum was fantastic.

Yeah, good episode that. Giving 10/1 that he blows the priest's head off.

I remember back in S1 when Morgan's at the home with his son, I found the scene when the 'Zombie Mum' walks up to the front door quite unsettling.

Just caught up on the last two episodes, brilliant stuff. As has been said, gruesome but in a way that works. Loving it.

I know when you're watching things like this, you have to leave your sensible hat off.

But - why not kill all the zombies that where inside the warehouse, but behind the fence? Stabbing them in the head through the fence (like they used to at the prison.). Walked past it like the fence was 100% sure going to hold. Low and behold, shit hit the fan, and all the zombies got out, then they had to go out the front way. This level of stupidity is why I'm struggling to stick with TWD. Daryl, Michonne and Rick not going on the run too just doesn't make sense (despite being given their jobs).

It's up there with all the scientists in Prometheus for stupidity.

A stray bullet setting off a grenade is probably even more stupid, now that I think about it.

To be fair the idea that anybody gets killed by zombies at this stage seems pretty far fetched. They dispatch them with such ease at times (like when they were just pushing them down by the bridge, not even actually using any weaponry) I just don't get how they end up being undead lunch. OK when you're trapped, like in the revolving door, you're in trouble. But they walk round the front and see that there's what, 20-30 undead? They've got automatic weapons. How far do we think a group of 5 with guns would do against 30 fully mobile living targets? I'd guess they'd do pretty fucking well, yet they see a bunch of animated corpses with the movement speed of a disabled turtle, and they shit themselves. In reality you simply would never take the chance would you, you'd completely eliminate the fucking things even if it took hours, then enter the shop with a clear point of entry and escape, and basically if the fuckers come at you single file, walk back outside in the light and fuck em up one by one as they slowly slumber out the door.

Zombie Apocalypse survival 101.

They possess incredible strength though, apparently. And can bite through almost anything it seems even with their rotted teeth. But apparently they can easily be distracted by things like flares and fires. It's a ridiculous show but I do love it.

They also can't see/smell you if you cover yourself in their guts.

Exactly. Surely when you go on a run you find your nearest straggler, hack the c*** to bits and cover yourself in it's shit smelling guts and walk around invincible.

Walk around holding a stick that is on fire, then launch it when you see a group of them.

Or even go down the Michonne route, capture two, cut their arms and jaws off and just have them following you around on ropes. It worked for her, it was only her abandoning the idea that stopped it. That seems even better than ruining your Sunday bests by covering yourself in zombie goo.

There's also the wider issue of how humanity has responded. Historically the one thing that will make humans unite quite easily is a common threat. I'm not sure I buy how cut-throat everyone is given how doable settlements are.

Really enjoyed that episode. Carol telling Rick about Pete, and Gabriel planting a seed of doubt in Deanna's mind, along with Glen, Eugene & Tara being the only survivors from the trek out looks to be setting up a more action packed episode next week
