Same old story for us at home, we played well in patches in the first half but don't quite make the correct decision during certain periods in order to create a clear chance. Our pace got in behind Grimsbys backline on numerous occasions, but we didn't create any clear cut chances at all.

3-0 was a harsh scoreline, the second goal was one of those lucky goals which you sometimes get.

Grimsby in the end had too much no how, nous and professionalism against our team of kids, we created nothing second half. McKeown didn't have anything to do, despite all our possession, we lacked any real focal point up front which ultimately was our undoing.

Grimsby were clinical and well drilled I thought, despite their backline on the odd occasion struggling against pace.

I think they have taken exception to the fact that our away support like to sing songs, dance around and generally have a laugh and a good time. They are supposed to just sit quietly in their seats for 90 mins I guess, which is just like it will be in the Conference for them next year when Woking and Forest Green's 10 fans turn up and sit in silence.
I would be more than happy with that next season, as it would mean I have my club to support.

I just hope your club doesn't suffer the same fate mine might, then those enjoyable away days like you had today won't come along anymore.

My post was in response to Nolans Orient slagging off our fans and also where we live. I hope you do survive and come back all the stronger for it, I just don't take kindly to having our support and town slagged off just because he was mardy that his team had just been beaten.

Cleethorpes is actually a really nice place to live.

Anyway we were rubbish after we scored but cruised it in the second half. Orient passed it round nicely but have absolutely no penetration which meant McKeown had nowt to do all afternoon apart from a bit of catching practice. Should have kept hold of Ollie Palmer :shifty:

I'm still not believing the rumours that Scott Vernon scored ANOTHER goal today.

These are the same Orient fans that laughed at us eleven years ago, when they relegated us to the Conference on the last day of the season.

E10Rifle still seems to think it was a some sort of joke and I see he's up to his old tricks again, calling all of Lincolnshire's fans scummy c***. Last season he was calling Oxford fans the same.

I've got a lot of time for you Grimsby lads, my other half is from Grimsby and I've been at two of your Wembley defeats with her. We both know what it's like to be down amongst the dead men in the Conference, where everyone wants to beat the big ex-league clubs.

I can't fucking wait to see these arrogant cockney wankers get relegated and hope they rot in the Conference for years. I might even go to their last game and dance on their pitch, see how they like it. Bunch of c***!

We had away days like that in non-league too.

Most Town fans knew/know of your predicament and only sang songs in support of our team. Sadly we also have a large following who know nothing about anything and drink a lot and who enjoy winding up other teams supporters. Though our support was awesome.

I wouldn't say I'm back as such, as I now reside in the upper echelons of the League 1 board.

Just popped down here to ridicule Orient and E10Rifle in particular.

Our support gave you three Grimsby only songs, FISH, We only sing when we're fishing, We piss on your fish, some Sca, Quo, wunderworld and well known footie stuff. That was 'class' for 90 minutes. In fact some of your supporters who were giving it 'big' couldn't keep their eyes off us.

You got to see a football match and a concert for the price of one.

No surprise that you're teaming up with the Grimsby lads - they were the other team we f***ed on the day we danced on your pitch and pissed on your Nan.

You can enjoy our impending relegation if you like - I'm actually not that bothered about it as the alternative is liquidation. Still, at least it's taken deliberate sabotage to get us removed from the league - you lot were just shit. And homesick.

You do know don't you that we conceded in injury time to Northampton that day meaning that your result was a total irrelevance to us as we had to win to have a chance to go up, so you didn't fuck us at all that day but if you still want to kid yourself into believing that and masturbate whilst thinking about it, by all means do so chum. :2thumb:

You've had 24 hours, and that's the best you could come up with?

Do your homework on us, and you'll see that we were relegated due to the deliberate actions of the club owner in the seasons leading up to relegation. So, once again, you're talking out of your arse.

Enjoy the Conference, or liquidation, loser. I'll be back quite regularly now to mock you.

Do your homework on us

Yes, I spent literally 24 hours of my life agonising over the best thing to say to some tool on the interweb.

Ps. I am too old for homework, unlike all the children we made cry by laughing in their faces at the King Kassam.

If this matchday thread has taught us anything, its that anyone who has another half from Grimsby is a bit weird ;)

Just some of the teams that will be beating you next season.
