Best attack v best defence.
Notable absentees are Kane and De Bruyne. Even without their new leader I think City should still win this, they look like they have goals everywhere whereas without Kane only Son has stepped in and I don't think he'll keep up his form.

Otamendi should have been sent off.

Is the insistence on ball playing keepers suicidal in general or is Bravo just rubbish at it?

I'm not totally convinced the ends justify the means purely in terms of results.

Spurs have been excellent, if they can keep this tempo up for the 90 they could get a few more, Pep's way is causing City problems today they need to switch it up.

The player that Dave describes as being "a proper shit Chinese c***" is doing pretty well, isn't he?

I do wonder how City are going to turn this around, though. We know they will because Pilgrim Meister told us that City would not lose a game this year.

Though not a goal the pass for Alli was quality. I wonder what this means for him though when Kane returns. He's basically been Spurs most important player since Kane got injured, yet when Kane is back does he have a place in the side?

Move him to left wing, Eriksen in the centre, Lamela right - Poch can go less negative in the midfield two and put Alli next to Dier/Wanyama.

I honestly couldn't see them losing from their first 5 games. Drawing yes, but not losing. Spurs are playing class and I am sure will be snapping at Citiy's heel's all season if they keep it up

That first half showed a lot of things. Remember back in 09 and 11 when United tried to press Barca and it just didn't work, and in between Mourinho with Inter showed how Barca could be beaten. A lot of things have changed since then.

With Klopp's Dortmund, Bayern under Jupp Heynckes and to a lesser extent Southampton and Spurs under Poch, pressing has evolved a lot. It's more organized than it was five years ago, and as such much more effective against teams trying to keep possession. Guardiola has adapted to some extent (although it hasn't shown today), probably enough to still win the league. One who hasn't adapted is Mourinho, though. He tried to beat Pep's City the same way he beat Pep's Barca six years ago, and failed. Today shows why.

Spurs have this, they've only conceded 3 goals in the league and are not going to lose a two goal lead.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Not going to win every game and Spurs were on fire. Shame it happened in the same week as the CL draw up in Glasgow to knock the confidence a little bit.
