Liverpool are interested in Barca 'keeper Jasper Cillessen, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Reds are keen to bring in a top shot stopper this summer after Lorus Karius’ calamitous display in the Champions League final and Roma’s Alisson Becker and Atletico’s Jan Oblak have both been linked with a move to Anfield.

Now Mundo Deportivo reports that they are also keen on Cillessen, who has been the second-choice 'keeper at Barca since making the move from Ajax in 2016.
Barca have been made aware, via a British agent, that Liverpool are keen on the Denmark international, but they La Liga champions insist that he is not for sale.
Cillessen, who is under contract until 2021, has a €60m buyout clause.

Now, if I remember the 2014 World Cup, he isn’t a Denmark international.

We've made our most important signing of the summer.. Wagner's contract extended til 2021 :bdick:

Yep definitely the best business Huddersfield could possibly do, good stuff.

It seems like Wolves have left it late with the deadline tomorrow, but SSN confirm they have triggered the clause in their loan deal to sign Benik Afobe permanently. 12.5m the fee, which is more than I thought we'd get for him, I'm quite happy with that.

If that's what Wolves are prepared to spend on a backup striker (I'm sure that's all he'll be for them) then it says a lot about the strength of their wallet.

I'm not going to be one of these Bournemouth fans who slag him off as being completely shit, he isn't. But he is what he is, limited at this level. I'm sure Wolves fans already know what they're getting markwwfc1992

Elsewhere in bigger news, Riyad Mahrez to Man City is "on the verge of completion" for 60m or so. Leicester can probably reinvest that nicely.

When I first saw this I was a bit underwhelmed for them, because I don't see them being as comfortable in this league as many are expecting if Afobe is their first choice striker... but, is he actually backup? £12.5m on backup?!

Wolves were signing Champions League players in the Championship, I think they will surprise a few with the business they do now they've gone up a league and the war chest is even bigger.

We've seen this with QPR already and they failed miserably. Wolves as a city - a club - fans - just aren't cut out for the PL. History proves this.

HarvSFC, anything at your end about Sam McQueen heading to Bristol? He's being strongly linked as a replacement for Joe Bryan.

Chucked a bid in for Fekir according to some French sources €53 mill I think. Rejected by Lyon as the President there doesn't want to sell him till after the world cup so he can get some more cents in for him. The player himself would like it sorted before the tournament (as will Kloppo), so lets see what happens over the next few days!

Lyon aren't in a position where they'll be short of suitors, don't think they're likely to feel as though they'll miss out if they don't accept early bids, it's in their interests to give him a chance to add a few more million at the World Cup, worse case he doesn't play well it won't impact his valuation too heavily.

Worst case is probably a career-threatening injury and being both unsellable and unplayable.

One can only presume that making the final of the CL combined with qualification again next season makes us a more appealing prospect than we would normally be. But it's good to see us getting good business in early regardless.

But a goalkeeper Jurgen, a goalkeeper.

AFCB_Mark looks like we'll be signing Afobe after all.

He's always seemed a decent enough fella, so I hope he's in a happier frame of mind on the Wolves bench, a club he clearly feels more settled at, than he has been on our bench. I can't believe you'd be signing him as a first choice, although it's still a lot of dosh for a backup.

Hopefully we'll put it towards Jay Rodridguez, or someone of that ilk / style. Or maybe even (whisper it quietly) a defender.

There's talk in Portugal thay you have made a last ditch attempt to sign Boly from Porto before we do. I hope not, he's the best defender I've seen at Wolves since a young Joleon Lescott.

Sounds like we're signing Ramadan Sobhi from Stoke. Typical Wagner signing, not loved by fans of his current club, never found consistency, but has shown glimpses of quality at times.

Wolves are said to be in the very late stages of signing Rui Patricio for either 18million euros, or on a free, pending his dispute with their president. It seems he actually has valid legal grounds for an annulment of his current contract.

The Sporting president sounds mental, the current blackmail claim he has thrown Mendes way is over disputed payments for a previous transfer. It seems the Sporting pres simply changed a players contract prior to transferring him to avoid paying Mendes firm 4 million, for part of a deal Sporting had asked them to set up.
