He wasn't fit the entire time he was with us and that's a feature of Stocktons career.

When he's fit and on form he's pretty good- he was really good with Tranmere the first time and he seems to be on form at the moment but he's had significant chunks of his Career where that isn't the case. There are better options.
I'm not sure we'll do much better than the top goalscorer in League One.

Ok to be fair I havent realised he'd scored so many this season.

Still. Things obviously suit him at Morecombe. No guarantees he would do the same elsewhere. I was just really disappointed when he was with us last. You say he wasn't given a chance but he never did anything when he did play and presumably he didn't bother too much nin training to force himself into the team. He wasn't injured but never bother to get fit in 4 months.

You're just going to have to accept that this is my view. You'll be pleased to know I have no influence on player recruitment.

Yeah that's fine mate, agree to disagree.

I doubt any club in this league will pick him up anyway.

in seriousness though, our brain dead section of the crowds will almost definitely think like this and will be on his back from day one, and probably did similar when he was with us on loan, so chances are he wouldnt do the job for us again

some of the chat I hear in the stands from other people is hilarious, even my dad who doesnt have much of an idea of who good current players are says some utter bollocks sometimes

It would be a big backward step for him.

For the record I don't actually think he is a bad player, I was really pleased when we signed him. I just can't get over the disappointment of his 'performances'

The January Transfer thread on RP is full of mental opinions. And it's not the most level headed forum at the best of times.

his hair is currently wonderful too, we need a replacement to Carra in that department, Dave Jones tried but has disappeared

Me too, audibly cheered when I saw the news when he was coming here but it just never kicked off for him.

Where's that come from? Not seen anything mentioned anywhere other than here.

It was a name mentioned on our side about 2 or 3 weeks ago, no one ITK as far as i am aware though

Our local journo says the Armstrong rumours are false.

Would still expect a striker sooner rather than later but a cheaper one with a bit more physical presence.

Parky has actually given us an update on the squad too.... Hyde out for another 8 weeks (split tendon in his calf). Mullin still not 100% with his hamstring hence his recent performances, so we will definitely be after a striker.

Our Director Humphrey Ker was also in the paper doing his weekly update telling us not to listen to the twitter rumours, and both reinforced that they are doing the upmost to improve the squad

You'd hope this 3 week break from league games would give Mullin a chance to recover. I was hoping the break between the Weymouth and Altrincham games would sort it out but he still doesn't look fit.

Burchnall was very complimentary about him at the weekend after the game, but to me he wasn’t buzzing around anywhere like he was in the game at the Racecourse

He's still a very clever footballer and streets ahead of our other strikers even with his injury, which is why he hasn't had a spell on the sidelines. Could've done with that penalty going in though, as he's going through a bit of a goal drought.

Should he get back to full fitness he'll no doubt be firing them in again.

Wrexham are building their signings up so much that it’s going to take something special for them not to be massively underwhelming.

The evidence is right here to see, whipped into such a frenzy the Wrexham lot are openly shunning the League one top scorer as he isn't up to their standards. Absolutely classic oil money Wrexham behaviour.

Someone's gone and said they've seen Dom Telford in the club shop so that's the rumour of the hour now.

Usually I would say we would end up disappointed, but the last window saw us snap up the likes of Paul Mullin and Ben Tozer so I'm not convinced that will be the case this time.

I do kinda agree , despite Mullin, Tozer, Hayden all being successes.. it is Harry Lennon who has arguably been one of our best signings.

Lennon and Hosannah have both been large successes, but Tozer, Hayden and Mullin have all been fine or better. Mullin's been our best player so far.

In our defence that was me and I have a completely understandable but irrational dislike for Cole Stockton.

Wrexham still not close to beating us in the willy waving marquee signing department yet.
