We’ve absolutely fucked it again. We’ve needed a striker for 18 months/2 years now and still no sign of one coming in.

The likes of Nketiah, Reid and Austin who we were heavily linked, have all gone to other Championship clubs which speaks volumes.

Bollocks to it.

Swap deal O'Dowda for Rhodes is being rumoured.

Read it somewhere obviously bollocks then, we were being linked with O'Dowda though by that Peter O'Rourke or whatever he's called. Mind you Doom Howson gets most of his rumours from Owlstalk.

Hector deal isn't happening and rightly so at £5M, our fans overrate him way too much because he has dreads and went to Chelsea away with the fans, made plenty of cock ups last season. Had a bid for Aberdeen's Scott McKenna turned down which was probably a bit ambitious. We've seemingly signed ex Rangers centre back David Bates from Hamburg on loan with a view to a permanent, now that does excite me.

Beram Kayal is supposedly at the training ground ahead of a move here.

I’m doubtful.

Priority for me now is keeping Taylor anyway.

Apparently trying to finalise a permanent deal for Ovie Ejaria and bring in Kenedy on loan from Chelsea.

So...we’ve signed Tom Pearce, Bright what’s his face on loan from Wolves and we’re getting Mulgrew on loan if we’ve got time. In return we’ve sold Lopes to Hull and are possibly sending both Lang and Gelhardt out on loan to Oldham. I’d say by our usual standards that’s a quiet deadline day!

Well windows closed now and we havent announced anyone. Doesnt mean we havent signed anyone to announce later but....we were supposedly targeting 3 more players and to my mind we definitely needed 2. Would be surprising if all 3 were announced post the window closing.

Get the feeling we have struggled all summer to get our primary targets in. We've signed quite a few but with losing JJ and Stacey its been a bit of a disappointing summer, especially as Jones had apparently been in the recruitment role since leaving West Brom in January/February. Surprising we are sitting here past the deadline still needing 2/3 players.

Looks like we might not be getting any strikers in - bit of a disappointing end to a great transfer window for us. Think it probably counts us out of a promotion challenge unless one of the players at the club can take the chance up front. We’ll be relying on a B team striker, and Watkins / Marcondes / Mbuemo who can all play up front but are more natural on the wing / in midfield.

Not great, sounds like we got screwed over by agents moving the goalposts in the last seconds.

We beat the transfer deadline to sign Ovie Ejaria on loan with a view to a permanent deal. What a window.

Carson out, potentially Ben Hamer in. Who hasn't played any serious football for 4 years.

Don't see the logic, unless his wages are cheap.

Jacob Murphy confirmed on a season loan from Newcastle, happy with that more pace added to the wide areas. Apparently didn't have a great time at West Brom last season but think that had more to do with him not being as good as Harvey Barnes was for them. Still waiting on one more to be announced which is expected to be David Bates. Really happy with our transfer business this summer, first time we've been sensible and well run for a long time.

Must have a lot of faith in this Monaco kid.
He’s not a DM mate.

We’ve saved ourselves late on here, hijacked Brum’s deal for Afobe.

A great transfer window that counts you out of a promotion challenge. Sounds fucking wonderful , let us know how you spend the profits personally mate.

Sounds like we were the club in for Scott Sinclair, that's now off. Paterson still on. Meh.

David Bates confirmed, apparently he's been really good for Hamburg so hoping this is a loan to buy. 7 signings with just a million quid spent, all with plenty of experience but at great ages, oldest being Borner at 28. Seems lessons have been learned from the past, apart from Bruce fucking off this is the best window we've had in ages.

Yep, it appears we pulled that off late.
Afobe on loan for the season. Used to be good so we'll have to see if we can get him back to that standard.
