Cowards will probably at least put in a performance now which would anger me even more.
But that's probably exactly what the owners are hoping otherwise they may as well let him finish the season.
It does sound similar to his final season with us, but we made the change in December and Coughlan turned it around.

Vale sack their manager...you just know it's gonna be a 1-0 away win now.
No chance it will still be a hammering around 9 nil as there's loads of players out due to injury and suspension and what's left is crap that can't save shots tackle put any effort in or a couple of youth team players.

Out of interest, what is your likely team for tomorrow and who out of them will be youth players and/or non-regular/fringe players?

Hard to say but Crosby did like 3-4-3 so may go to that although not sure we even have the available players for that.

Stone - Regular (cant save for toffee though) in goal

Back three picks itself due to injuries but includes a kid from Forest who's miles off the level needed in most games.

Central Midfield we only have Tom Pett available so may rely on youth player Tommy McDermott who's been at Salisbury and looking at a more number 10 type player like Butterworth or the useless Rory Holden to come in and "Do a job"

Plenty of forwards now though so assuming we have a go we should create a few chances but its the other end and midfield we will get murdered.

That said Crosby might try and park the bus and we get dicked 6 or 7-0 without laying a glove.

To be fair, the way to play against us is to park the bus and try to get something on the break. Lincoln done this and won 1-0, the only team to beat us at home.
It's usually when teams try to attack us that we get the better results, like with Charlton at the weekend.
I still think you have the potential to sneak something, especially as we won't be able to prepare as well as we won't know how you'll set up.

We don't have any pace to hit you on the break with, or wingers! They are banned in Politic's case or the likes of Worrall who can deliver a great ball but is knocking on now so isn't full of pace.

If you have any physical presence or pace we will be destroyed. We can't defend as we have zero height hence we haemorrhage goals.

I would snap your hand off for a 3/4-0 now which is disgraceful to even consider against any side in the same league as us but such is the position.

Don’t call Saturday a cup final as well, we’ll freeze and lose 4-0
We'll come to your place and play a 3-5-2 to frustrate and hit on the break. We done that at Bolton on Easter Monday and got a deserved point. We seem to do quite well at your place over the last few meetings.

If we beat Shrewsbury tomorrow then we will go up automatically imo considering Wednesday's form and Ipswich/Barnsley to play eachother.
Not “if” but WHEN you beat us. Don’t think we can even field a full 11 this week let alone bench. We won’t get another point this season, not that it matters from our perspective anyway. Enjoy the easy 3 points Argyle fans!

Holden McDermott plant could be in midfield as ojo politic and conlon who are all midfielders are suspended and garrity our best midfielder injured. Cass and Jones 2 centre backs are injured meaning we have been stuck playing the same poor back 3 for the last 2 months of Forrester Donnelly and smith and none of them are tall enough. Also stone in goal is technically 2nd choice keeper even though he's played the last few games as Stevens has played more games. Either way it will be a 9 nil lost. Kind of glad only 123 tickets have been sold for the game as not many will get witness the hammering.

123? Thats less than 1/3 of our current lowest following this season!

Mind you, i never reject the chance to go Vale... my wife just rang as I have been downbeat since Saturday and today has topped it off... "Would going the match tomorrow help cheer you up?"

After laughing I politely declined the offer!

Barnsley probably have to beat us on Tuesday if they still harbour hopes of snatching a place in the autos. I'm not sure they will even with a win, though.

In theory we'll be without Rushworth, and there's s massive drop off between him and Wright in goal so it wouldn't surprise me if we appealed the red tbh because it looked a bit soft to me.

Other than that, I'm guessing we'll go with the same side that started yesterday. No real need to change anything at the minute, which is a weird feeling albeit it's come very late in the season.
Expecting a probably dull and tight game tomorrow, your record against the top 6 is good iirc and you've beaten us twice already this season. Got a feeling you've got our number this season, like Exeter had. Looking forward to it though, never been to Sincil Bank and I like the city

We are currently at 14’s to win at Ipswich tomorrow with Paddypower. That’s usually San Marino to win type odds so shows what they think of this tomorrow.

Probably worth sticking a fiver on if you fancy losing that amount.

Bonkers, we cant have been much worse odds for when we played Man City at the Etihad as a L2 club. Embarrassing. Trust the process and all that.

Conlon now available so much more confident ahead of tomorrow now we won’t need to go down to the youths.

Think now it’s game on and only 6-0 instead of 8.

keep the faith. You're fighting for points and they might be nervous. Clubs that are in the shite often up their game. 1~1

We are 14/1 for the win 11/2 for the draw I don’t think we’ve ever been that kind of odds for a league game! When we beat Derby I think it was 5/1 but 14/1 is nuts. Worth a pound and hope we shithouse a result or Morsy gets a red early doors or something silly.

Only hope is it fires the lads to at least produce a big performance, if they have professional pride it should.

they might be too cocky.. Even if u get beat I still don't think you'll go down.
Having said that I'd sooner you went down and Cambridge stayed up beings theyre a Southern club. Thats not personal like

Don’t bloody do this to us pal. We never do anything easily and even if what you say is true, this is still a potential banana skin for us I am sure! Would take another scrappy 1-0 :)

Tomorrows a “free hit” usually our best performances have been in those games but whilst we will lose and probably heavily I just want to see a reaction and a sign that we can go into three more winnable games with a chance of picking up the points we may need.

If we lose 4-0 but battle hard I can take losing it, they should smash us with the difference in budgets/size but if we turn up and don’t put the effort it then i will be very worried indeed.

We have just 17 first team players (the least in the whole of League 1 I believe) and the rest is made up of youth players who’ve never made a first team appearance in League 1. We have 6 out injured and 1 suspended leaving us with 10 first team players but one of them is a sub keeper, so 9. Looks like two youth players will be making their debuts tonight unless of course a couple of players pass late fitness tests. Never known a Salop season like it, Steve Cotterill has done brilliantly to get us where we are with the problems we’ve faced with injuries this season!

But yeah, I’m normally fairly confident going into games but it’s hard to see where we can get points at the minute with our current struggles. You’ll breeze past us tonight, so don’t stress.

It's definitely the latter.

Excellent chance for Oxford on Tuesday. We seem to have jacked it in for the season.
An excellent chance for what? I assume a 0-0 draw? It's the best we can hope for against anyone hopeless.

I wouldn't call 10 points from 6 games jacking it in.

4 draws against shit/injury ravaged teams and a shithouse 1-0 against a dire FGR side is jacking it in. It'll be a fifth draw in 6 tonight. 0-0.

Can't see anything other than a comfortable home win despite the sacking of their manager - we've been absolutey bossing things at PR now for a months. 4-0.

Should do with the budget! It’s about 8 times ours so anything less would be embarrassing. Least arsed about a game for years to be honest. First time I’ve turned down the chance to go!

Jesus Christ. We are right down to the bare bones, Pett out so we are down to one central midfielder.

No idea on formation as we’ve not even got the youth midfielder on but are debuting youth winger James Plant.

Both Harrison and Taylor on the bench so only one striker in Wilson.

No idea what that formation is at all.

Pett out is a massive blow.

This probably will be double figures. It’s below the levels of our Pizza Cup side.

That said I did say rest some for the weekend so Ellis and Taylor on the bench and Ojo to come back I guess.

Messy this.
