We're definitely shit :D
If there were any Reading fans on here they would tell you how bad we are. No pace throughout the team, we play like blind strangers running through treacle

Lack of pace is a worry tonight, almost feels as if we are writing it off with a quick turnaround in mind.

Suppose he’s gone for experience at the back.

The field can’t get stretched if we have no intention of leaving our half…

This is going to be a proper San Marino or Andorra type approach to the game.

Way way too negative and paid for switching off last kick of the half, these aren’t Ipswich last season so have a go.

Ridiculous and asked for it all half.

I’m not even watching our game, but apparently we’re making some excellent comedy defensive lapses and are lucky to go in level at the break.

We have at least had a few shots though, so woop woop to that.

We’ve missed a sitter and 1 on 1. Ref is poor for both but nothing new there

Ridiculous approach to the game, treating these like Man City! 10 men behind the ball and inviting constant pressure. Fuck me, they're a 3rd division side that aren't even in the top 2 and we're desperately holding on for a point. Game over now, we just need damage limitation as Posh could have had 4 or 5.

As per usual, Posh look like Real Madrid when they play us. But can't help feeling that our negative setup is asking for this.

Posh Spice would look like Real Madrid if you park the bus, don’t really press and hoof it to their defence to restart an attack every time you get possession.

Get Uche on and have a go, Walters is miles off and Plant against Mason-Clarke when he’s a kid who’s not a wing back or defender is bonkers.

Need to try and keep the GD damage limited now.

Yeah, in the tinpot final v PUFC we did a lot better when we played a pressing game, because with all that pinging it about at the back, one of those passes will go astray sooner or later.

If you sit back then they will just pass sideways, slowly advancing up the pitch until the final third when their front line will run at you, and unless your defenders have the pace to cope with that then it gets tough.

I mean they're a decent side but we have done a lot of standing and admiring them pass it about.

This is the same team that got pummelled by relegated Carlisle less than 2 weeks ago, so they're clearly not that good.

We've got no outlet, so it just keeps coming back.

I'm actually really titsed with this. Treating Peterborough United like the world's best team. The same Peterborough United who get similar attendances to us.

Pathetic.

From what I have seen, whoever survives out of us, Burton or Cheltenham can consider themselves lucky, all 3 deserve to go down.

Absolutely . We are garbage and currently out of the bottom 4. How that has happened is beyond me. 5 should go down this year as none of us deserve to stay up. And if we go down we can get rid of this fucking clown so I’m at peace with it.

Agreed. I've only seen 2nd half and you have the say that Peterborough will be frustrated they haven't scored more. Have Port Vale found their way to Peterborough's box?

Just shows the importance of having a regular goalscorer. Chris Martin is the reason we ain't in the dogfight as well, although if the season were a bit longer..

Derby 0 shots on target with their squad is piss poor. They did look better against us than Pompey and Bolton though

Beat ourselves largely with the set up, we shown them more respect than we did Man City, Aguero, Foden, Silva etc as a L2 club a few seasons back, embarrassing lack of belief, it’s Peterborough United for gods sake.

Was a free hit but annoyed we’ve not really made any effort to go for a result there, frustrating thing is we’ve done their job for them with two own goals and a needless penalty to concede.

Big one is Saturday though so overall doesn’t change a great deal, it was an expected result and the fate of us lays at Vale Park but felt a waste of a tenner that and feel for the fans who went.

If Posh are at their best, they'll beat us....they have a stronger squad with 3 or 4 players that could play higher.

We've got a couple of things to hope for. Firstly, will it be a bit of a comedown for them after Wembley? Secondly, will they look at this as a formality of a home win?

We've seen many times at this stage of the season how a team near the bottom pulls off a shock result. We're still shite but we're a bit less soft than we were a month or so ago.
at their worst they'll beat you

Just got completely owned by Peterborough and to be honest it’s a bonus it wasn’t more. What I’d give for a Mason-Clark in our team, just destroyed us. They’re very good though, possibly the best I’ve seen this season.

We very nearly made it to half time goalless and then maybe the team talk etc is different. All focus on Exeter which privately I think has been Moores intention all along.

Just one thing can we stop with this fucking playing it out from the back. They’re not good enough and Ripley as much as I like him isn’t Manuel Neuer. It’s suicidal.

I watched the Vale match. I thought Cheltenham looked doomed but after watching that. Burton will be happy.

To be fair we’ve been much better in recent weeks but that set up and playing a defensive line up that had the pace of a combine harvester against their attack was madness from Moore.

Not really the game to put a 17 year old right winger at wing back against Mason-Clark either.

That stunk of all our eggs in the basket for Saturday which is a dangerous gamble, all be it suppose understandable when we have 3 games in 6 days.

Awful, awful approach to the game. It's happened so many times in the past 20 years. We basically turn up and are beaten before we start the game....against a team in our own league. Peterborough won't have an easier game all season....it was like a training game. Yes, they have better players than us , and we didn't want to leave ourselves too open, but we were truly pathetic.

This sort of game reflects where we are as a club. Peterborough post losses of £8 million a year, which the chairman is willing to write off. They pay much bigger wages than us and it shows. Is it fair considering they're a similar sized club to us? It's a risk, especially if their erratic chairman walked away. Yes, they make money from selling on non league talent, but they also spend big on it too.

We're absolutely miles away from Derby, Pompey, Bolton etc. None of these clubs would have a single one of our players in their squad, nevermind their team. We've scored 0 goals against any of the top 6. Yes, they're bigger clubs than us but we need some sort of plan to bridge that gap. Currently, the only way I can see it is through significant investment....we need someone who is willing to write off serious debt.

We should be able to compete with Posh, Stevenage right now, but Posh had a team full of skill, pace, athleticism, desire....we haven't had that in over 25 years.

If 4 teams finish below us this season then they truly deserve it. Ryan Loft should be flipping burgers...potentially the worst footballer I have seen, and we're playing teenagers out of position.
