Woah I didn't realise they'd changed the trophy from the weird Illuminati pyramid to this... thing for this season

Also said we'd be looking to increase the playing budget, which surprised me a little. I didn't think we'd be able to afford that too. Glad though, I don't want to be cannon fodder!

Cant imagine the owners wanna spend a fortune on the new stand to just get relegated straight away.
Jay's gonna have to move out his comfort zone of signing Ryman League players or we will be cannon fodder!! we certainly need some decent forwards

Akrofi & May won't be good enough for this level.
Flisher still isnt anywhere near match fit & carrying a lot of extra weight
Dumaka definitely has potential but its a question mark whether he stays.
Birchall didnt even hang around for the playoffs haha

If that's 'sneaking' in, I look forward to seeing what they do when they don't give a shit who's watching!

Old news, has already been discussed on the tinpot thread. At length.

99% of our clubs staff, players and fans are not vegan, and are not expected to and don't follow a vegan diet. Players and staff have often quite openly gone in Nandos, Maccy D's and KFC including on away trips, and why shouldn't they?

The club now only sells vegan food, thanks to Ecotricity/DV's principles but has no ban on anything. Why do people struggle to understand this?

People do understand it, but it is a very effective stick to poke FGR fans with, because it guarantees a reaction, as once again, you've proved.

Of course I have. I'm a very angry man. But you already knew that baldy.

Off to eat some RAW STEAK and then pump some iron. Need to keep my massive guns in shape, ready for action.

Don't get uppity with me young man. I'm one of the few here who like FGR as a club. I dislike the way you are currently run, but that's not the fans choice I suspect. If you react to every jibe people post about your mob then expect thrm to keep doing it, it really is that simple.

Our captain Kenny Davis has left to sign for Borehamwood. Can you believe it! Could understand it if he had followed Danny to Lincoln, but f*****g Borehamwood. GUTTED.

That is a little puzzling, admitted. Long-serving, as well. Can only assume they've wafted some serious ££££ in front of him.

Surprising move but Boreham Wood have probably doubled his wages.

I read that Kenny is a cabby in London and recently got his badge so can earn decent money whilst being part time. That and it's nearer to his home so less commuting, so makes sense.

That seems like a really odd decision from Heath, I know Halifax are a much bigger club than North Ferriby but I'd of thought he'd give it a go with them in the national league. Although with him in charge I can see Halifax going up at the first time of asking.

Can't see Halifax fans being happy with that.

You can see why Heath's gone, though. He's probably taken NFU as far as he can and as far as they're ever likely to go.

Are North Ferriby the smallest club in the Conference for some time? Village of 4,000 and no real history at the top end of the non-league pyramid (I assume), do they go alongside the likes of Bromsgrove etc as one of the smallest sides to appear at this level?

I think they're the smallest, definitely with Farsley Celtic, Leigh RMI and Histon being the nearest comparators. Bromsgrove did have a fair amount of history at Southern League level prior to their time in the Conference.

Fisher Athletic were certainly tiny and had no identifiable supporter base

Frickley must be the nearest predecessor but I think North Ferriby have it hands down. I've stayed there when visiting family and taking in the U's away at Cleethorpes. I only found one pub but it does have a train station.

Bromsgrove (population 30,000 +) is a metropolis in comparison to North Ferriby. I live just up the road from Histon FC (formerly Histon Institute FC), who have always played in Impington. The population of Histon & Impington is around 10,600.
and Frickley
Clayton with Frickley is tiny but Frickley Athletic FC play in South Elmsall (population around 6,500), also the home of Frickley Colliery and the Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band.
