Moved to 1pm ko due to the Grimsby fans being extremely hard. Impossible to predict result at this stage but, once again, I don't think we are capable of keeping a clean sheet. On the other hand, we are always capable of scoring. Another draw for us?

Nah, Mansfield will win this one. Wouldn't want to be in Stevie's shoes if they don't.

It's an unwritten rule that we always beat Mansfield so 2-1 win for GTFC.

Now then GTFCish understand you have one of our former players turning out for you , a certain Jamiile Matt who cost us £300k some years ago. Well if the Great Train Robbers got life Kidderminster who sold him to us should get the award of the worlds biggest and best con merchants of all time - still I always had a soft spot for him, but don't hold your breath !

Who is this Dembele kid?

And we are capable of conceding goals, and alot of them!

before the Crewe game, our back 4 combined age was 136...

Are any of your strikers fast? or they more of a big target man type strikers?

Back 4 average age 34? We do have some pace in the team now so this could be an issue.

Don't worry, our GK will provide you with 1 goal one way or another, so at least you've got that.

Grimsby are nearly up there with Accrington in the fact we seemingly never beat them (I only seem to remember a 2-0 home win in our promotion season), so it would be nice to get the 3 points. In reality, defeat shouldn't be expected.

Hasn't your goalkeeper just been fined by the FA for eating that pie on the telly, or was that his thinner brother :bg:

Well, there's a decent chance we could win as I can't make it due to the 1pm kick-off as I work Saturday mornings. I do often take the mornings off but as I've hardly any holiday days left it wasn't really an option.

I was away when we beat Chesterfield on the opening day and I was in Belgium last weekend when we beat Crewe, so I've seen us get beaten in every game I've been to this season.

It was good to hear that we reverted to 4-4-2 at home last week but whether we'll play that formation away we'll have to see. We do have a decent record against Mansfield though, having only lost 2 of the past 11 meetings, winning 8, including the unforgetable 7-2 in our Conference days.

It was one of those rare seasons where they actually finished above us, by a point

Are we conveniently forgetting anything before 2002 when we probably spend almost every season above you or are you just taking about 2 of the 3 seasons we were in The Conference together and since you were promoted?

Where has Chris Clements gone?

He's been on compassionate leave recently but was back in midweek and scored a penalty for the reserves so could well feature tomorrow.

Still got time for chris, he's a decent lad.

Probably wouldn't even make the matchday squad now, glad he did the right thing.

Sorry to hear he's been off on compassionate leave

Not sure what to expect today, despite our record against Grimsby I quite like them, they have a habit of paying transfer fees for players that don't warrent one, i.e. Clements, and Rob Duffy.

Clements record of 4 in 16 last year suggests otherwise. He was 3x the player Mansfield fans said he was.

Don't forget you also took on Pat Hoban last year.

Chris Clements was a very good footballer and some fans could actually see that despite how much stick he got.... Problem was he was so relaxed and laid back that he never really took a game by the scruff of the neck and against good sides he went missing.. I thought he needed a tough tackling box to box midfielder with him like Mitch Rose but they never got paired together and murray sent rose to Rightback... His passing, touch, movement, free kicks etc were great for league two.

Would be good to see them play.

That's rubbish, mansfield fans made it pretty clear he's a talented player and his downfalls i.e. Going missing in a game was all fair comments.
