FGR secured their first away win of season at Coventry which started a mini-revival in the clubs fortunes. That came to a crashing halt a month later with FGR crashing into a perfect storm of suspensions and injuries to best players.
Lately form has been less than good although we have had two successive home wins.
Coventry should be hyped up for this game: avenge home defeat and maintain promotion form. And of course to try and eliminate from people's minds that fans incursion on pitch during play to have a moan at Coventry captain.
I understand he got a life ban but hope the club reconsider and allow him back in near future. He is/was a real fan of club whose emotions got the better of him.
Will he be at game? I'm sure there will be plenty who want to take a selfie with him.

Yeah I hope that fan was allowed back, did no harm just frustrated at the way his club was being run.

Anyway tomorrow will give us another chance to sing "Premier League to Forest Green" at our opposition, AND we can even do the double over them if we win. We'll have to play a lot more like we did v Cambridge though.

Well, we did get the shots away first half versus Exeter, shame only one troubled the keeper. Keep that up a little longer with a slight adjustment of the bomb sights and home advantage and you never know. Running out of games now so need to fight for every point available.

We're shit away from home, especially against teams at the lower reaches of the table, so expecting a draw or a Forest Green win in this one.

It would be somewhat ironic if we went down at the end of the season having done the double over probably the biggest club in the league...but that is the Forest Green way...last season we lost at home in the last few games to North Terribly.

I wouldn't worry. Tactics are our undoing. We'll probably pass the ball around a lot outside your box. If someone decides to have a dig then we might produce something, otherwise it'll be another long day at the office.

All I'll say is that Coventry are the best side I've seen this year, and I've watched all the other big sides (bar Luton, thankfully I missed that 7-0 thumping down at theirs).

Still having said that, good luck Rovers.

They only beat you 3-1 at home the other day, whereas we beat you 5-2 at home the other week.

On that basis, on the howmanyhaveyouthrashedcambridgeby-ometer we're the better side.;)

This is one of those games where 'typical Coventry' turn up and lose 1-0.

I would say I am looking forward to visiting FGR tomorrow, but I have seen the weather forecast...

Wrap up well and wear waterproofs, expect it to be windy at the ground, even if it isn't down in the valley...if it is any consolation, I expect to freeze and I will be sat in the main stand.

Am I right in saying the club were going to put a roof on that away end this season?

Yeah I seem to remember that one of your more vocal bullshittingish mouthy supporters, well
known for getting predictions wrong, proclaimed that 'if Ferriby beat us at home I'll have the word twat tattooed on my forehead' before welching on the deal. :bg:

Yes we were, but like the prediction from some of our supporters that we would make the play-offs this season...I don't think either are likely to happen!

In Stroud at the moment.

A lot different for most away days, but a very pleasant place even in this weather.

Early sub for Coventry, frantic first half and we've had a few chances as have Sky Blues. Not sure if this change is tactical or injury, not heard that Grimmer was crocked.

Shock horror, we're putting in yet another dire performance away at a side in the bottom eight. These games are going to cost us promotion, they're totally pathetic.

What an awful away day.

Away end wasn't fit for purpose. Got close to kicking off during the first half when there was obviously not enough room. Fans having to hang onto the fences.
A lack of toilets too.

I absolutely despise away ends with no roofs, obviously for the weather issues like today, but mostly because its completely ruins the atmosphere. No one even tried today, there's no point without a roof. As a result, today's away end goes alongside Bristol Rovers, Swindon, Yeovil, Gillingham and Accrington as my least favourite.

We were poor. Forest Green wanted it more than our lot did. The moment we let the second in, you knew we'd lost. FGR sat back and defended well.

Wouldn't rush back again due to the reasons stated above, but Nailsworth is lovely.

Last time I went to FGR was in the FA cup in the conference days, we had that little stand behind the net and a few blocks in the main stand due to overflow.

I’m assuming you get that shitty little terrace at the side now?

Woeful? I'll have you know quite a few of our fans used to stand on that terrace every week before it was given to away fans, and were quite happy with it.
