That Adams guy of FGR is a bloody cheat. I had a very good view of the sending off incident and Lapslie never touched him.

The ref was conned by Adams. Clough said the ref told him that Adams had blood from his leg. I suspect he had a tube of tomato ketch-up down his sock that he pierced.

That was just utterly ridiculous from Hunter. Worst thing is the ref actually fell for it.
Vassell v Proctor which got him booked was as bad... if anything Vassell blocks him off.

Adams is a disgrace. I've never known a player cheat and try to get players booked or sent off so much.

He managed it last season against us, conning the ref into getting our centre half Paudie O'Connor sent off. It was shocking.

I hope one day some real hard bastard gets him proper. We had a player in the late 80's Micky Kennedy who would have snapped him in half for his antics

I thought the Stags started brightly last night with lots of neat build-up play, but went off the boil about 20 minutes in. And why does Mr Clough play a converted centre forward at centre back when our old friend Mr Rawson is sat on the bench? Baffling was that.

Kennedy wasn`t hard he was a psycopath. Signed by Alan Ball for Stoke for £250k, haha.
I can`t tell if Adams was caught by Lapslie or not but it really was a cowards tackle as he went in studs first and high, ref had a great view and there was very little of the usual surrounding the ref to get the red card. I bet Mansfield won`t waste their money on an appeal.

And this in a game prior to the assault attempted or otherwise where Stags subbed two players at half time on yellows before they got sent off, but we're the cheats. Fuck off.

I think FGR will probably get 1 poing, maybe 2 from those 2 games. With our guaranteed win against Carlisle we could be just 2 points behind them and level on games played, whilst they still have Tranmere & Mansfield to play.

We really are going to win the title.

What an embarrassing collapse by the Vegans.

Maybe not then.

Club have appealed Lapslie sending off from last night, if it turns out the referee got that wrong it’s just another abysmal decision on a very long list from this season, FGR were definitely the better team before and after but getting decisions like that wrong at this stage of the season is horrid.

On Adams, don’t get me wrong he’s a great player and a top lad but he does dive a lot. Kind of player you love on your team and hate for the oppo. Bit like Reece Styche was in a way. He’s not the only player we’ve got that goes down at the drop of a hat at times, seen some hilarious dives from the likes of Cadden, Aitchison and March. We’re definitely not the only team that does it though.

Btw thought Jamma’s exaggerated flop to complain about Hawkins going down easily was great.

One of your old boys Aaron Collins does that a lot for us, pretty embarrassing at times the way he falls over and the ref rarely gives anything

Must be drilled into them at FGR. I've never known a team consistently cheat like they do ever since they got into the FL.

Horrible club

Don't think you are the first to draw that conclusion

Our tickets for Barrow on the final day go on sale after the final whistle on Sunday. What a way to ensure that people leave early to go and queue.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see a few of the Charlie boys from down the A18 around Saturday. If they want to waste their money that’s up to them…

Still a lot of football to be played but this feels a key moment in the promotion race.

Think that was an excellent team performance tonight, best for months. Every single one of them played their part. Reckon that was Ebou's best game for us for a long time. Martin was handy against Jamma up front, spending most of the game trying to steal his shirt, and our midfield and their pressing caused them a lot of issues. Hats off to all of them.
...just a couple of minor adjustments, to reflect a Rovers viewpoint.

Very difficult game against Brizzle coming up, with Macdonald and Morris missing thanks to Mr Breakspear. Would love to be proved wrong, but thinking season-ending defeat.

A game against Bristol Rovers at this time of year always brings to mind the match in April 1990, when both teams were going for automatic promotion from the division above. It was an evening game, but still a 13,000 sell out at the old Prenton Park with over 1,000 from Bristol. We took the lead through Ian Muir, but the Pirates responded through (possibly) Mehew and Holloway to win 2-1, and Rovers went on to win the league. I think they had a big win at Notts County a few days earlier.

It was a crushing defeat at the time, and I have never been so disappointed after a game. However, we got some measure of revenge by beating Rovers at Wembley in the Leyland DAF and went up the following season anyway.

I wonder if any of the Gasheads on here were there that night ?

As for Saturday's game, we are missing key players, but we played well last week and we are still very strong at home. Too close to call.

Away at Sutton with nothing but pride to play for, would imagine we'll stick with the same starting XI as we did against Walsall last week. With no midweek game for the first time in a month Im hoping we can put in better performances now.

Chance to see how Sutton bounce back after Wembley last week. Matt Gray has the loudest voice I've ever heard on a touchline.

Sold our 600 allocation or whatever it was, plenty of our fans have bought tickets in the home ends too.

Before my time, but I know a few Rovers fans have never forgiven you for beating us at Wembley!

Big game at home to Newport tomorrow. So big that Indian Dan has travelled over from Greece for it. I can't help feeling that the losers will probably have a little too much to do to get involved in the end of season shake up. Watching the recent games we've missed Louis Reed who makes us tick and is the best midfielder in the league* and I don't think we play with near enough intensity.

I won't be watching this one so we'll almost certainly put on a cracking show and win handsomely.

Pools will surely be looking to throw our tie, they can't be relegated and don't want to go picking up wins and risking that Mid-Table Cup.
