The question everybody wants answered is will we see that fat centre half in L2 next season? I'm talking about the Tranmere player not the Luton fan, who has upped sticks to the L1 forum, and rightfully and deservedly so too.

Eh. Like he was there really?

He'll know Micky Mellon from Shrewsbury, so Mellon might want to sign him again.

Yeah he was there as they were going up the steps for the trophy

Well it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Footballers make a lot of friends as they go from club to club during their careers, and being at a game that is in a different division, after the end of the regular season, could just be because they wanted to cheer on a friend.

Great side this Bwood team. Go on you light blues.

Tranny deserve to stay down cos of Mellon, the idiot that decided making two changes before the 30th min mark was a good idea. Plus, making THAT tackle after only 50 secs had passed is beyond stupidity.
Think that's a very harsh assessment. I can be philosophical about the red card, given how the game turned out, but when you're down to ten men that early, it made sense to bring on a left-back and keep Jeff Hughes in midfield, where he'd ensure we kept hold of possession. Wasn't sure Ginnelly coming off was a good idea, but he may have still been feeling the effects of being hit on the head with the bottle and Jennings crossed for the winner. I felt BorehamWood were too negative and didn't make the most of their man advantage.

Think it's unlikely.

Welcome Tranmere! A small part of me was hoping for Boreham Wood to come up for the relatively short away trip, but in the end the better team won.

If McNulty ever sorted his fitness out, he would playing at a far higher level for longer. But he refuses to do so, so he gets stuck in the Conference and no one will give him a chance.

If tranmere keep hold of them 2 strikers cook and norwood then they should do well next season. Hopefully it will be a saturday away game as tranmere used to do alot of ftiday night matches.

Disagree, they will struggle with those two up top in my opinion.

We will have a very competitive budget for next season.

Cook & Norwood deserve the chance to play together after 53 goals between them this season.

Ben Tollitt was outrageous in his 20 game spell during 16/17 so hopefully he can return to that after an injury hit season and Oliver Norburn can comfortably make the step up.

We will announce the signing of Jose Baxter in the next week or so who has been under rehab with Everton u23s so that’s a bit of a wild card.

Welcome back lads, had four cracking league games plus two cup games in our time in the NL.
Word of warning don't expect an improvement in the refs most of them are the goons we had in the NL and seem very unsympathetic to the tricks used in the NL.

Hello again.

Scary that, after just 3 years, I feel like I know literally nothing about the EFL anymore. I couldn't name most sides' managers, don't know who the good players are and I've literally never heard of Quest, but by God is it good to be back!

As for squad, etc, I may be a little harsher than most but if we really, truly want to compete at the right end next year, we'll probably only be able to keep 7 - 10 of the current squad. But that's for another day.

I'd settle for a boring, mid-table finish next year from which to build the following season.

3rd season in a row that the losing finalist in The National League have won the play-off final the following season. I wonder what the odds are of Boreham Wood making it 4 in a row next season?
And quite bizarre how the title winners have followed a pattern, too.

That's Dagenham and Boreham Wood up next season, then!

Oh, and welcome back Tranmere.

We've had some good games over the last couple of years. Back to back promotions for Ginnelly!

Congrats Tranmere.
On the FGR forum there was overwhelming support for your team after the wonderful way your supporters congratulated FGR fans on their win last year.
You made a lot of friends that day and we look forward to games v the Whites.
Good luck next season.

Welcome back Tranmere, I always remember them as an old First Division team, so when they came down with us it really was a surprise.

Glad they came back up as it gives us a chance to try out our amazing new free-kick techniques.

Although I would have preferred Boreham Wood for the novelty factor, Tranmere Rovers aren’t a bad comprimise.

A fairly local game, and after the past couple of meetings between the two sides and the Ryan Lowe factor, there should be an elevated atmosphere at the games between us.

Not sure we’re ever going to top celebrating promotion on the Prenton Park pitch though. That must have been quite the kick in the teeth but you’re back now. Doesn’t feel like 3 years since that day!

congratulations Tranmere.

Does Steve Vickers still play for you? He was epic in our first leg Div 2 play off back in the day!

No but James Norwood must be possessed by Ian Muir the way he dragged us through the playoffs.
