Well they did it, Hollywood Wrexham!

Back into the football league as Conference champions and for them to already become L2 champions elect for the 23/24 season is quite remarkable.

Could a triple promotion to the Championship be on for Wrexham?

Don't think so while Parkinson is in charge where I think they'll be found out and be like the Salford Class of 92 project Hovering around upper mid-table fighting for the playoffs. But I do think they'll be up there though

Wrexham have way more of a buzz about them than Salford ever have and they were an established football league club for decades with a good sized fan base for this level, whereas Salfords is totally non existent as they're punching far far above their weight in terms of club size.

I would be quite suprised if Wrexham don't go up automatically next season, probably would have done this season if they were in this league right now.

Ignoring all the shite, welcome back Wrexham. If there's one set of fans that truly know the darkness of seemingly never ending non-league football (after having been a long time FL club) then it's the ones that went down from this division all those years ago and stood by their club. Having to endure finishing on 99 points or whatever it was behind Fleetwood and then getting beat in the playoffs and then slipping into midtable Conference onscurity. Grimsby, Mansfield, Lincoln...we did our time but our stints were walks in the park compared to theirs. They went down for a long long time. The proper true Wrexham fans deserve to enjoy this promotion.

Made up for all the Wrexham fans that stuck with the team through thick and thin. I've worked in Wrexham for a while and I know how much the town has been waiting for this day. I've been down the Racecourse in the past and they'd barely got just over 2000 for a league game on a Saturday at times. Those are the ones that truly deserve this including some mates of mine who have seen bottom of the league Telford stuff them 4-0 on their own patch not so long ago.

I despise the Hollywood freak show, the fact that that horrible bloke Shaun Harvey is involved with them and all these weird Americans that love jumping on a bandwagon and go way OTT about a fifth tier football club. Wrexham weren't even the first choice club for those Hollywood whoppers, but no one goes on about that. But I'm taking nothing away from the true hardcore support. They deserve to be back in the league.

North Wales is a proper football region. They don't do Rugby up there. To not have a team from North Wales in the Football League just wasn't right. I'm glad they're back.

Who was their first choice club to buy?

I think they’ll do well. Really well. Potential back to back titles kind of well.

I know it’s a step up, but they not only have the financial backing, but they are also coming up with a manager who has a wealth of experience and prove success at this level. That’s probably what they’ve got in their favour over the likes of Salford, Stockport and others who have come up heavily backed.

Lock up your best players folks, because these lot will take them.

I have zero problem with them being back and you would expect them to go straight up to League one although Parkinson is still in charge which levels the playing field to an extent

I think they'll do back to back. We've improved from last season but not by loads and we're still in with a shout.

Wrexham this season are stronger than we were going off the points total and I've not seen a better striker than Mullin against any team we've played against this season.

Notts will be up there too I reckon, I hope they go up.

Phil Parkinson got us promoted from League Two, to a cup final, and to the League One playoffs. Also got Bolton promoted at the first attempt. Not sure where this anti-Parkinson thinking comes from, but he's better than any other manager in this league.

Welcome Wrexham. I bet they will hate that from me & Crawley. They had a real bee in their bonnet about us a few years ago.

I think they're go straight through as well. That strike force is definitely good enough and they have that cash to splurge where they are weak.

Going to be a tough league next season.

What a fairytale it is that a side with a bigger budget way bigger than anyone else’s got promoted.

Almost magical.

Of course welcome, and it’s deserved but the wankfest over them is unbearable.

Parky knows very well how to get a club with high expectations out of this league.

I fully expect them to get automatic promotion next season

Don't buy the idea that the Wrexham side is so good it'll go straight through. Mullin and Lee are good, but Mullin only has one double figure season in his entire career in the football league. Lee hasn't had anywhere near the number of goals and assists as he should do playing in the position he does and for the alleged money he's on.

Defensively, for a super team them concede roughly a goal a game, which doesn't suggest they're that watertight and they try to outgun opposition which is quite easy to do when you have a striker that is at least a level above what he's playing at and a team of giants to get on the end of corners and long throws - Aaron Hayden scored nearly a goal every two games from centre half for goodness sake, that's just not going to happen a level up.

Be interesting to see what they do in the market though. A lot of this season has been built on using the same small pool of players on a consistent basis - do they stay loyal to the same bunch or do they go for tried and tested League One/Two players and risk unbalancing what's worked so well for them this year. I'm by no means saying they won't go up again, but THIS Wrexham side probably won't, it'll be a different set of players.

Is any League Two fan genuinely afraid of Ollie Palmer?

They’ll spend a stupid amount in summer on wages with players dropping from all leagues.

As Stockport have shown this season, the step up is nothing and league 2 is a pretty poor league. They’ll not walk the league but top 3 will be the expectation and should be achieved

stockport we’re always going to be a top side with the budget they had also, i remember them going 1 up at mansfield and we scored twice in 2 minutes straight after to win the game, that was back in august when they were still learning the lay of the land, had it happened after we wouldn’t have won. I said back then they’d be up there.

If wrexham come up they’d be similar.

Wrexham will comfortably get promoted. Lge 2 is very poor, if we had a goalscorer we would be challenging the play offs this season.

Wrexham have several plus several millions to improve even more. There only doubt is the manager but with 4 promotion places up for grabs I'd be surprised if they didn't go up again.
