Bloody hell we gave him a 2 year contract after impressing on trial in pre season. :conf:

I only realised he'd signed for you lot looking at the League Cup scores the other night! He won't ever score.

Tippy was excellent for Macc, and I'd be looking at him as a future manager at some point, he seems to be doing well out in Ireland. Don't think he ever played down here.

Favourite Tippy moment for Macc was away at Spotland in a massive relegation 6 pointer. At 1-1, we were awarded a penalty with about 10 mins left and the Rochdale players were all trying to put him off before hand do he just picked the ball up, walked over to the Macc fans and started doing kick ups whilst the ref sorted everything out! Strolls back over and rolls the ball nonchalantly in the bottom corner. That win just about saw us safe. Following season him and Parkin hit over 40 goals between them (nothing on FGR's front line last season) and we got to the play-offs.
If Askey were to leave, I would 1000% have Tipton here as manager. Tippy as manager and Whitaker as his assistant.

Weird how a player can put in fantastic performances for one club, but be utter garbage for another.

Jake Hyde, Scott Fenwick, and Marvin McCoy stand out as the worst I've seen in recent years.

A nice story.. shame Rochdale didn't end up relegated eh!

Case in point as Hyde was decent for us.

Absolutely. I was quite excited to see we'd signed him as he had a good reputation. Turned out to be utter garbage, and hasn't got any better since. Looks like the Bees were his kind of team, as he's done very little since leaving you.

McCoy has done well here. Not unreal, but he's done a job.

I've seen him play for Maidenhead over the past few weeks and he's looked reasonable, but not on the same level as he did a few years back. Most likely injuries have damaged him, he had a few when he was with us.

On that note - Luke Coulson came to us in January with a great reputation from Eastleigh. He failed to put in anything better than a 5/10 performance for us and I could not believe that he was so highly rated in the NL. There's a gap between the divisions, sure, but he looked way off League standard. Now he's at Ebbsfleet and they seem to love him. Considering we paid a significant (around £50k) fee for him he wouldn't be far off my worst player at BFC list, but he's done really well everywhere else he's been.

Coulson has been class for us so far, and was excellent at Oxford City. Didn't see him at Eastleigh or Barnet mind.

How have you managed to ruin a good player like James Alabi?

And don't forget you still owe us around 25 grand for him.

I've just read Peter Bore's name in a thread in L2, so I'll add that one as well.

Terrible for 95% of the time, very, very occasionally turning in a worldie game.

Bore is/was apparently an absolute mercenary. Once didn't buy a car because it wasn't expensive enough!
