It's because we have a twat of a manager who signs shit defenders who are either slow or are always injured. Add to that we have no nasty bastard in midfield. What I'd give for a Jason Kennedy or someone similar.

Going forward, especially away when there's more space we look great. You won't get a much better front four than Holmes, Wheeler, Watkins and Reid but when you constantly concede it makes their job twice as difficult.

I expect we will be bottom 6 all season and I bet we won't win more than 3 home games which would most likely mean relegation as we're going to hit a dip away from home sooner or later.

I cannot believe that your fortunes at home won't change soon based on what i witnessed today. There are a lot of teams in this league that simply won't be able to cope with your front line, especially the more games Reid gets under his belt.

I've said this before, but Exeter are one of the best teams I've seen at the WHCS this season too. Looked really good against us and I'm baffled they're doing so poorly.

You were one of the best teams I've seen, yet look at where you and Exeter are. I thought you'd be challenging for the playoffs around about now (granted when you played us you were on better form and higher up the table so when I said you'd be promotion challengers it sounded like a reasonable assessment).

As for Exeter. I don't know what it was, but come the end of the game you could just somehow see that this isn't their season. Had you stopped the game at 89:00 then we'd be talking about how well they played and how much they deserved the win, but the game didn't end there and instead we're talking about a bottle job. What happened just isn't something that happens to teams going for promotion and yet happens all the time to teams fighting off relegation, and we know that all too well having suffered the same fate against Shrewsbury a couple of seasons ago.

Ultimately it's not what you do for 70 or 80 or 85 or 89 minutes that counts... it's what you do for 90. For all the good football that came beforehand, the difference between the two teams at the death became clear. As good as Exeter looked, they didn't look like a good team for ninety minutes, they looked like a good team for eighty minutes, and the other ten minutes cost them. You have to be a ninety minute team.

Why has your twat of a manager not been sacked yet then?
Because our 'chairman' thinks he's fucking awesome, plus he's on a two year rolling contract, worth (allegedly) £120k per year, so we'd have to stump up big bucks to get rid. He won't walk cos he's so stubborn and is on shit loads of cash to be in total charge, so why leave?

Rumours yesterday that the supporters trust have 'ordered' the club board to serve notice on his contract, so basically we'll be rid in November 2018.

Fucking shambles.

Sounds like a shit situation for the club. Tisdale should resign so he doesnt make things worse.

Thank god we won that, important with Plymouth losing and Donny winning. It wasn't deserved but I feel a draw wouldn't have been totally unjust.

First half was shite, shades of Curle's 1st season with desperate long balls to anybody. I still don't think Jabo and Wyke work up front together, we looked a lot better when Miller was brought on.

Exeter were a decent team and I agree about Reid, looked really classy today and will surely only improve. If they sort their home form out they should escape relagation, but that's easier said than done.

Just re-watched the highlights and that pass from Adams for the winner is sublime, decent ball in for the second too.

It's funny how when we play on the deck nice to watch football we can't turn draws into wins, yet since we've been more workman like and ugly in our play we have won a ton of games all of a sudden. That's League Two for you!!

I can see that we do now have a winning mentality cemented into the team which is pleasing.

Unless you have lots money to spend on quality players, it's hard to combine the two of winning and playing neatly.

After watching the highlights it is obvious that Exeter are where they are because of their poor defence and a lack of male genitalia as they say!

Just looking at Exeter's defending for our two late goals, as these are the sort of things that until recently we were guilty of (sometimes still are to be fair but not in such circumstances).

Shaun Miller's equaliser, he's being marked by Luke Croll and Croll just stumbles a bit as the ball goes in and doesn't recover in time to challenge Miller for the header, that's probably just unfortunate.

For Charlie Wyke's winner, the attack is put together by Lambe and Adams and Exeter's defence just seem to be in utter confusion. As Lambe beats Woodman for pace, both Croll and Oakley run towards Lambe and Troy Brown runs to Adams. This leaves four Carlisle players being marked by only three defenders; Wyke being the extra man, so Adams simply chips the ball over Brown and into the path of Wyke. Jordan Moore-Taylor turns to try and challenge Wyke and Wyke completely misses the ball with his first attempt to kick it, the real clanger here is that when Wyke wafts his foot at the ball, Moore-Taylor hesitates for a split-second instead of continuing towards Wyke, thus giving Wyke the opportunity to take another swing at it, this time connecting and putting it past Pym into the net.

Also being down the Warwick Road End, I didn't see all of what went on with Exeter's free kick and Christy Pym. I know people were saying he had it in the back of the net and there was a bit of a delay while the ref sorted things out. Can see now why there were no celebrations from Exeter thinking they'd equalised. You don't generally expect it to be given if the goalie catches it and you just barge him into the net.
