Most clubs have got their business done, or else will be wrapping it up in the next three weeks, so let's have a crack. This is what you think your manager is going to go for not what you personally want. Include injured players in your line-up unless they are long-term casualties.

What Harris will go for:

GK: Jordan Archer

RB: Mahlon Romeo
CB: Shaun Hutchinson
CB: Byron Webster
LB: Joe Martin

RM: David Worrall
CM: Ben Thompson
CM: Shaun Williams
LM: Shane Ferguson

FW: Steve Morison
FW: Lee Gregory

Subs: Tom King (GK), Fred Onyedinma (AM), Aiden O'Brien (FW), Gregg Wylde (LW), Jimmy Abdou (DM), Tony Craig (CB), Sid Nelson (CB)

I'd prefer Joe Martin wasn't in the starting XI and I don't think Sid Nelson will ever be good enough for the step up to the first team, but that is otherwise a strong-looking matchday 18 for this level. Very good options off the bench, too, in Fred and Aiden.

Hard to say as new boss and new players but seems to like a 4-3-3 type formation.

GK: Jak Alnwick

RB: Ben Purkiss
CB: Nathan Smith
CB: Calvin Mac-Intosch
LB: Kjell Klopps (Kiko When fit)

MF: Sam Foley
MF: Paulo Tavares
MF: Anthony Grant

LW: Jerome Thomas
FW: Regino Cicilia
RW: Anthony De Freitas

Pretty decent starting XI that.

This lineup is assuming everyone is fit.
4-4-2 Formation
GK: Steve Mildenhall (Personally I'd like to bring in a new keeper)

RB: Daniel Leadbitter
CB: Tom Lockyer
CB: Peter Hartley
LB: Lee Brown

RM: Billy Bodin
CM: Chris Lines
CM: Lee Mansell (Think we need to bring in another creative midfielder to partner Lines)
LM: Byron Moore

ST: Matty Taylor
ST: Rory Gaffney

This is what I think Darrell would consider our strongest starting XI (although we're still expecting three or four more new signings). We have a fair few strikers in the squad which is useful, although both Ollie Clarke and Jake Gosling (Gibraltar international midfielder :gr: ) would consider themselves unfortunate to miss out on the match day squad and could easily be included on the bench to give us a different option in the middle.

I think it's a solid team/squad, but think we'll see another goalkeeper brought in, another defender and a box-to-box central midfielder.

Edit: 07.05.16 has gone for exactly the same just as I was posting!

For Dale, I've left out Matt Lund and Peter Vincenti, who both suffered knocks in pre-season games, and may not make Saturday. However, trying to second guess Keith Hill is like trying to plait fog, so this team will probably be nowt like Saturday's:

Gk: Josh Lillis
RB: Joe Rafferty
CB: Harrison McGahey
CB: Niall Canavan
LB: Jim McNulty
CM: Jamie Allen
CM: Callum Camps
RAM: Donal McDermott
CAM: Ian Henderson
LAM: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing
ST: Joe.Bunney

The front four will rotate positions throughout the game.

Subs:
Johny Diba Musanga (G)
Andy Cannon (RB/CM)
Scot Tanser (LB/CB)
Reuben Noble-Lazarus (M)
Ollie Rathbone (M)
Calvin Andrew (ST)
Sanmi Odelusi (ST)

Very close decision between Bunney/Andrew up front (or even neither if Lund.fit, with Camps and Henderson playing further forward. Then there's veteran player-coach Brian Barry-Murphy and 16 year old Trainee Aaron Morley, who have both looked good in pre-season...

Still another 3-4 to come in, two of which are expected to be in before Saturday.

But currently;

GK: Colin Doyle

RB: Stephen Darby
CB: Rory McArdle
CB: Matthew Killgallon
LB: James Meredith

CDM: Romain Vincelot
CDM: Timothee Dieng

RCM: Felipe Morais
CAM: Nicky Law/Billy Clarke
LCM: Paul Anderson

ST: Jordy Hiwula

Subs:
Sattimiler (GK), McMahon (RB), Marshall (RW) Hanson (ST), Knight-Percival (CB) Webb-Forster (ST).

Very strong defence, of which is proven given 3 of them have played together for the best part of 4 years. The introduction of Killgallon and Knight-Percival aren't shabby additions.

We're severely lacking in quality upfront, but I think that'll be sorted before too long.

Could be anything but I think on the opening day we will line up like this.

GK: Neil Etheridge

RB: Joe Edwards
CB: Jason McCarthy
CB James O'Connor
LB: Rico Henry

CDM: Adam Chambers
CM: Florent Cuvelier
CM: Erhun Oztumer

RW: Kieron Morris
ST: Simeon Jackson
LW: Josh Ginnelly

Subs:
GK: Craig MacGillivray
RB/CM: Liam Kinsella
CB: Matt Preston
CM: George Dobson
CM: Isaiah Osbourne (if he signs)
LW: Franck Moussa
ST: Amadou Bakayoko

We also then have Andreas Makris to come in when he gets internation clearance, which there is still a chance of happening before Saturday.

Not quite sure what formation Slade is going to go for but for the sake of the thread I'm going to go 442.

GK: Declan Rudd

RB: Chris Solly
CB: Jason Pearce
CB: Jorge Teixeira (think he'll be leaving so will be Patrick Bauer if so)
LB : Morgan Fox

RM: Callum Harriott
CM: Johhnie Jackson (c)
CM: Andrew Crofts (Would have Ahmed Kashi here but he's a month or so away from being fit)
LM: Ricky Holmes

ST: Nicky Ajose
ST: Lee Novak

Subs:

GK: Dillon Phillips
CB: Roger Johnson
CB: Harry Lennon
FB: Tareiq Holmes - Dennis
M: El-Hadji Ba
ST: Karlan Ahearne - Grant

That subs bench was hard work, highlighting how desperately we need more bodies.

I've left Ademola Lookman out as I think he'll be leaving but if not, he'll absolutely have to be in there, either included in that midfield or playing up top in a three.

Also subject to change as Slade hopes for 4 more incomings before the window shuts.

I'll give someone £50 if they know what goes on inside Flickers head and predict the correct lineup.

GK: Connor Ripley - 23, Season loan from Boro, decent season at Motherwell, fancied to have a good career

RB: Josh Law - 26, free from Motherwell, gives 100%, might be shit
CB: Peter Clarke - 34, nominal from Bury, their player of the season, vastly experienced a this level and higher, captain
CB: Cameron Burgess - 20, loaned from Fulham til January, massive, Cheltenham fans rave about him, but that was Conference football
LB: Jamie Reckord - 24, free from Ross County, athletic which will suit his potential wing back role, but said to be bad at football

DM: Ousmane Fane - 22, £30k from Kidderminster. Lower league Patrick Vieira, wins the ball effortlessly, could be a real find
CM: Paul Green - 33, free from Rotherham, 20 Ireland caps, played nearly all his career in the division above, hoping he'll lead our midfield
CM: Ollie Banks - 23, free from Chesterfield, said to be utter wank by their fans, but kinda young and will look to get on the ball and make things happen
AM: Ryan Flynn - 27, free from Sheff Utd, should be our most talented player, decent reports from Blades fans

ST: Lee Erwin - 22, season loan from Leeds, tall two footed striker tipped for big things while at Motherwell, moved to Leeds for around £500k but yet to make an impact.
ST: Billy Mckay - 27, season loan from Wigan, also quite two footed, scores goals for fun in the SPL, but not given a chance at Wigan after his £150k move there.

If that's in any way accurate, we'll have 11 debuts on Saturday, christ! But we'll more likely play a more standard 4-4-2 with Flynn and Croft on the wings or something. Steady Eddie, Brian WIlson could play anywhere in the defence too.

Gotta say, Simpo, Reckord is one wank player. Dreadful when on loan to us from Wolves.

On the plus side it's good that both your 2 strikers have 2 feet.

Yeah mine has changed already, Callum Harriott has gone to Reading.

Lookman has to be in there now.

Agree about reckord, we had him on loan too from wolves and thought he was poor.

That first XI is definitely top 6 quality.

With the exception of Morgan Fox and you can take Callum Harriott out now. Chris Solly will unlikely be able to play 2 games in a week with his knee problems.

Beyond that 11, its crap. Any more injuries or suspensions and we've had it as it stands currently.

Right now:

Martin

Baldock
Downing
Walsh
Lewington

Potter
Upson

Powell
Carruthers
GC Williams

Maynard

That won't be the team by the end of the month though unless something has gone seriously wrong with recruitment.

Add the currently injured (Reeves, Aneke & Bowditch) plus four more new signings and we'll have a decent squad that should see us through the season.
