He'll certainly make the league more interesting, next season is going to be massive with the names and characters involved. I think it's a good signing for United obviously, he's a ridiculously good player and even at 34 he's showing no signs of slowing down. The Premier League is obviously a step up from Ligue 1 but I still reckon he'll contribute 15 goals minimum, his off field presence to the likes of Rashford will be a massive plus for them too.

Even if he is going to those c*** it'll still be great if the Zlatan comes for a year like the force of nature he can be.

Surely is is a sign that Mourinho is going to blood and build around Rashford? He's a world class stopgap, but is just a 1 year stopgap

Let's be honest if Ibra has a good year Utd will be throwing money at him to stay on.

Yeah I don't reckon Rashford will get any game time under Mourinho. He hates outstanding talents.
Fucked up pretty badly with Lukaku and De Bruyne imo.

Will Rashford go on to flourish as a top class talent elsewhere, after falling foul of Jose's results-only policy? Not for me to say.

Food for thought though.

Don't really know what happened with De Bruyne but didn't Lukuku make demands to be the main man when he clearly wasn't ready? But anyway, there are far more examples of him getting the best out of players.

I think working with Ibrahimovic will benefit Rashford.

If this transfer comes off we'll have 4 strikers in the first team, two of which have established themselves in new positions. I'm sure Rashford will be getting his chances.
Mourinho's your manager now, Rashford won't get shit.

There has always been something about this guy that annoys me. Arrogant bastard and you can tell he's a bit of a ponce who can't walk past a mirror without spending a minute checking himself out.

Fantastic player though. Bastards.

He's an arrogant bastard but I don't know about ponce. He's a bit of hard bastard by all accounts.

He can be a real lazy fucker though. I'm not sure him and Rooney in the same side would be a great idea. They'll want to play in the same spaces even if Rooney plays deeper. Ibrahimovic always seems to drop deep. And he's good at it. But not majorly convinced it's the signing of the summer some make out really, I can see it going Berbatov lite for United. Some United fans will love him, some will think he's too lazy and disrupts the play. Ultimately he won't make an a devastating impact but I can see him scoring 2-3 superb goals which will mean history will probably end up being kind to him.

It's his fan club that I despise, although he feeds into that. United desperately need someone with swagger, hopefully we'll have brought two people with that trait in by the end of the week.

Was he dup? I dunno, what's dup mean?
Is it an acronym like "Deadly Under Pressure"? Cos I reckon he might be.

Been expecting this move for months, just made sense.

As United don't have to be worried about the money, don't see how too much can go wrong. Ibra for a year, allowing a future for Rashford & a striker for Martial to learn off, and there's Rooney as a backup striker. I don't know how well he'll do in England at this stage, but short term it's a pretty safe move.

I think that if the contract is for a year United doesn't make too much wrong... Especially as they have enough money to invest... And probably José Mourinho is the right manager for him...

I thought the whole thing was just delayed so he gets his loyalty bonus from PSG.

It is shame that United fans are making it look like Zlatan is bigger than United.

For me personally this will be the worst signing of the season. I'll put money on it.

He will be welcomed by those that want to see the premier league to become even more of a soap opera.
Not sure how many suitors he had, seems a bit odd he hasn't gone to a team in the champions league, thought Arsenal might have had a punt.
He will score a few outstanding goals, sell lots of shirts and make lots of headlines raising the clubs profile, all good business for Utd.

Your right I probably would with his experience he would get us a few goals, but Man U is a different kettle of fish, I just can't see him doing the biz there.

As indicated in an earlier post, he's not there to do the biz. He's there to sell shirts and keep the Manchester United brand on track. If he scores a few goals in the process than it's a bonus.

It's a fair enough assumption - he's nearing 35 and he is joining the most physical and fast-paced league in Europe. He's also joining a team "in transition" who have underperformed in recent seasons. Then again he's just come off the back of his best season in his career in terms of goals scored and he'll want to prove the pundits that have doubted his ability to perform against English sides or in the Premier League wrong.

It could go either way but I reckon he'll deliver. It's what Zlatan does.

Don't get me wrong from a purely business point of view it's a good signing he'll definitely sell shirts and just on his reputation he's a big named player for Man U, he just didn't show enough promise in the euros for me, looked like his legs were going at 35 it'll be tough in the prem he would of been a good signing for a mls team join up with lampard and pirlo something like that.
