I think what has pissed a lot of Bury fans off among many other things (most covered in UTS and his fantastic rant), is the way in which we have lost these games.
Yes we played well in September with a fully fit squad, but once injuries hit and after a couple of defeats Flitcroft uses it as an excuse to start his experiments.
The last three defeats have been what has tipped many over the edge. Dale away, we matched them until half time and went behind to a joke of a penalty. Second half we are getting back into the game, Zeli our threat on the right just starts to look dangerous, yet on the hour Flitcroft takes him off for Hallam Hope. Now we all expected Hope, a striker to move inside and Soares or Mellis to move to the wing, neither happened, he actually operated an average centre forward as a right winger in a derby game. I should add, we had several options on the bench who could come on as wingers.
Our threat was single handedly nullified and Dale scored again shortly afterwards. Flitcroft uses player indiscipline and the penalty as an excuse, he didn't hold his hands up and apologise, he didn't promise to turn things around and quite clearly in no way he viewed the defeat as being his fault.
With the Bolton game coming up we face Wimbledon on the Tuesday and Wimbledon score with two identical unmarked goal, Kelvin Etuhu starts again at right back despite several horror shows in the positon, particularly away at Posh where he was at fault for at least one goal. We have several better options despite the injury problems, but Flitcroft insists on starting him. Guess who is accountable for both their goals? Etuhu!
So on to Bolton, a game many Bury fans have been waiting years for, big crowd, very good atmosphere, 4-5-1 AGAIN. Then after their joke of a penalty Mayor and Zeli, our wingers who have been causing problems early on are told to move inside to support the isolated Vaughan. Guess what threat from the wing nullified again. Flitcroft puts Hope on in the second half, Hope plays behind the striker, we do not have a single shot on target and the game peters out with a whimper. Once more a big game and we don't turn up, our manager simply shrugs his shoulders as if these two games are any other games.
Similar things happened last season after Christmas. Crap, out of form players played no matter what, weird team selections, bad substitutions, an awful and embarrasing run after Christmas and a manager baffled as to what the problem is. Fact is had we lost both Dale and Bolton games to the first farcical penalties, then battled for everything afterwards and still lost you can live with that. But we performed like an end of season games on both occasions with nothing but pathetic lumps down field to the isolated Vaughan (currently being wasted). If you chuck those defeats in with the 4 other straight defeats it is hard not to be losing patience.

Re the injuries, we have had a few and it can't be helped. But if history repeats itself, like it is doing on the pitch, then some of these players will keep getting injured in training and barely play again.

Yes we are a smaller team and midtable should be/is our aim. But we have some very good players, who when used properly make us look like a team capable of pushing for the playoffs, and Flitcroft is wasting them. In a derby game you don't expect a win but you expect a full blooded, committed performance not a whimpering, gutless defeat and you certainly don't expect it to happen twice in a week. He has a bigger budget than any Bury manager since Stan the Man and all he could achieve last season was 16th position, meanwhile teams with much smaller budgets were competing at the top.

He is in total last chance saloon for me now, lose tomorrow and he should go, win tomorrow (which we won't) and he has to build on it to win some faith and fans back.

Sorry as ever about the rant
