Given it concerns the redevelopment and its (mostly) City fans that read this I'll post it here.

What's everyones opinions on the fans who have changed to the Atyeo supposedly wanting to now stay there beyond this season? Just my opinion but if it happens its potentially going to accommodate to less fans than it will inconvenience. If away fans have to be shifted somewhere else then the whole idea of the home concourse will be affected as well, just reading through the thread on otib atm.

I can't see it happening at all for the reasons you state. It makes no sense at all.

Well the people on otib who seem to be involved are confident that the idea that away fans getting the whole of the atyeo next season isn't happening anymore so they can stay in there.

I didn't realise they were going to get moved again. That's silly.

Nowhere else for them to go considering the club wants them away from the South Stand.

You could potentially section them in the corner of the dolman at the south stand end. One guy talking about being a catalyst, they'd be bang in the middle of city fans compared atm to being out of the way.

That can't work though Hodge. It would nullify the open concourse plus how would the away fans in the Dolman enter the ground as there are only 1 set of turnstiles for the Dolman and we use the South stand entrances. It would also drop capacity with segregation needed. It's also right next to the family and corporate areas and I don't want to move again. I can't see that happening tbh.
If we don't give the away fans the whole Atyeo, fair enough, but to put them anywhere else would be madness IMHO.

I meant the Atyeo fans with what you were referring to but you're right with regards to being next to family section etc and moving home fans

Ah, my apologies. I thought you meant the away fans.
Given alot of the people in the SS will move to the West stand next season, I can't see a problem with a few people moving to keep the Atyeo mob together in that case. After all and with all respect to them, it's not the east end we're talking about.
One issue though, the club won't accept persistent standing anywhere but the Atyeo and if the Atyeo boys stand up in the Dolman, those of us in the family area won't be able to see the pitch.
In other news, we get a £46M rebuild while them up the road are chuffed to bits with their new portacabin.

Are you putting a Homebase under your stand? Or an ASDA? Looks like the seating starts at about the fifth floor.

And you see that big fucking white steel thing on the grass? You might not have to move that for us if Doherty and Golbourne are both playing.

That's the concourse underneath, any city fans know when estimated completion of the stand is? Seems to be going up a lot quicker than the south stand.

June next year by all accounts although I think it will be built pretty quickly. The internal fit out might take a while, I assume.

The lower tier has to go on you thick Yam Yam! Alternatively, we could ask the West Brom fans to park their caravans in there. ;)
It's starting to look a bit like yours except all the seats will be able to see the pitch from ours. :fish:

We only put away fans in the bit you cant see from. And charge them £28 for it.

But atleast The Gas won't be sharing their ground with the rugby so the last laugh is quite possibly theirs.

How so? We gain extra revenue whilst also having a pitch that can cope with the rugby and football.

Why is that shit?
Because it's no longer just your home. It'll equally be the home of Bristol RUFC too.
There'll be signs, facilities, colour schemes, etc that have nothing to do with Bristol City Football Club.
Ashton Gate is no longer 100% your home ground.
It's a crap situation.
Yes,you've got a stadium upgrade-but at what price to your soul and dignity?

Hahahaha you are spouting some shite mate. As long as we have red seats (which we are) and the pitch doesn't get destroyed (which it doesn't) then I'm more than happy for them to share it.

You should have opposed the groundshare plans from the moment it was first suggested.
Get something organised before it's too late.
