'Before it's too late'.

Are you not aware the rugby team have already been playing here for over a year?..
Well you should've done something ages ago then.
Would you let Rovers share with you that easily?

Jesus...what total bollocks! Please refrain from spouting such inane shite when you have NO IDEA about the plans in place with regard to ANY of the above
I know enough. One guy owns both clubs under the Sporting Bristol umbrella or pretty much that.

Fuck off. Not even comparable.

If you're on a wind up, which I suspect you are, you're good at it I'll give you that.

I think you're on a wind up too otherwise why would it bother you enough to post on many forums when it clearly doesn't bother us City fans?
It's all good for us. Maybe you should visit the new Gate and see for yourself?

Yeah was going to say, same guy as on 1FF so people there just started ignoring him, probably why he's looked for a new forum to talk about the subject

Not a wind-up.
I just don't like seeing football clubs sharing with rugby.
Each club should have their own home which is totally theirs.
It's shit sharing.
Get the 'Kick the rugby out The Gate' campaign up and running.
How about hiring a plane to fly over the ground trailing a banner with an appropriate message for your owner?

On behalf of all City fans here, both members and guests I'd like to thank you for your invaluable insights into our club. I'm sure I speak for us all when I say how spooky it is that a Crewe fan seems to know so much about our club when we obviously know so very little!
Again, our heartfelt thanks.

Now fuck off.

That's the concourse underneath, any city fans know when estimated completion of the stand is? Seems to be going up a lot quicker than the south stand.
South stand needed to be built as a seperate structure (ish) initially, and then joined to the dolman. The new Williams is being built out from the South stand by the looks of things, so it has support in place at one end already which speeds it up

I've been once-stood in the open end when it was a proper football ground with terracing, like they still have up at Horfield.
It was your ground then.No rugby to share with.

Quick question for the City fans, safer to ask here than start a new thread.
What's happened to Aden Flint, thought he'd be bagging you goals this season? Or has the step up curbed his attacking side?

As an aside I'll hold my hands up, I thought that Kodjia looked shit at our place but after seeing him several times since he's a very good footballer albeit a little one footed.

Flint isn't going to score 15 again due to the fact we get less set piece opportunities in this league and defenders are obviously better. But I still think he'll grab a few. He tends to score in patches, last season he had 4 goals in 39 (all comps), then scored 11 in the final 18 games of the season.

On Kodjia, I wouldn't swap him for any striker in this league.

Cheers for the reply, I did say at the time Flint wouldn't find it as easy, as we found out with Reda Johnson.

Rhodes and Gray are far better than Kodjia, simply put.

Rhodes yes, but having him and Wilbraham would leave 0 pace so I'd rather have Kodjia. Gray far better? Wouldn't say so.

Because it's no longer just your home. It'll equally be the home of Bristol RUFC too.
There'll be signs, facilities, colour schemes, etc that have nothing to do with Bristol City Football Club.
Ashton Gate is no longer 100% your home ground.
It's a crap situation.
Yes,you've got a stadium upgrade-but at what price to your soul and dignity?
And we don't give a fuck.
You should have opposed the groundshare plans from the moment it was first suggested.
Get something organised before it's too late.
Why?

Well you should've done something ages ago then.
Would you let Rovers share with you that easily?
We wouldn't because Rovers are our deadly rivals. Bristol Rugby aren't even in the same sport.

Come on Bristolians: let this owner guy know the rugby's gotta go.

If you're so bothered about it then feel free to come up here and host them.

To be honest I think it's defenders and goalkeepers being better, and less set-pieces. He has missed quite a few headers this season though, so I reckon he could've had a couple more goals this season.

The obsessed fan made it over from 1FF to another City stadium thread on a completely different forum. Give me strength.

How is everything getting done so quickly this time? Was it because the EE had a lot of internal work that took a lot of time before the construction work could start?

Probably just the simple fact that teams defend set-pieces better in this league rather than the shithouse that is L1. There are better defenders in this league, and the ones that are Flint's size generally aren't some fat unfit bastard, rather they're usually technically and tactically more aware. I still think he'll get 6 or 7, you can hold me to that.

As for Kodjia, yeah he's excellent. He's an all rounded brilliant striker, he's got pace, strength and his feet are incredibly feet. It's a shame he hasn't got a strike partner to keep up with him. In all honesty, I'd obviously rather Charlie Austin, and possibly Rhodes, but not Gray. That's not me being a bitter c*** about it, I've just seen a lot of Gray, and I don't think his finishing is all that. I'm not suggesting Kodjia's is, but I wouldn't swap him for Gray simply.

Agree with the one footed comment though, text my Dad at FT last night saying that if Kodjia had a left foot we'd have won that game at the end, with the chance he had on his left.

I guess they are working longer days as there are no residential properties nearby. While the steel structure is going up very quickly, I would imagine the inside fit out will take a long time as there are various lounges and boxes involved unlike the SS. The other 'target', I would imagine, is to enclose the stand before any potential bad weather arrives.
Bear in mind, once the upper tier steel work and terrace is up, they have all the bottom tier to do as well!
They are certainly smashing this one up, I must say.

The rumour that was doing the rounds back last year was that they ordered the wrong size frame work, which is why it took so long for the actual structuring to go up.

Like CU said, they've been lucky with weather admittedly so far, so that may arise some issues when the shit weather comes.

It's looking good though!
