I've never been less thrilled about being 2-0 up.

Apparently £20k towards steve evans' big transfer kitty in January mind.

Come on Carlisle!! You can do this

It sounds quite sloppy on the radio. Towels are being used again though and sounds like Evans is having another meltdown about it, Although we've just been allowed to use one this time.

How very entertaining

Sounds a great game at Swindon - Luton now lead 3-2 through Isaac Vassell.

We are now 4-1 up and MK dons down to 10.

Considering how small our squads is the momentum for the league is the only positive I can take

I don't quite share your desire for us to lose HG. A defeat and poor performance could still affect player morale
I think we've enough mentally to not let things affect us as we showed in the Exeter game after Newport. A mentally weak team would've thrown in the towel that day. Plus I think defeat at Luton will happen regardless of today's result.

I just think the sooner we're out of this shit show the better and we can just concentrate on the league.

Last minute winners can only be good for morale. Watch us get Chesterfield and about 3500 turn up.

Luton are also through to the Last 16 - and are set to be fined again for fielding a weakened side (despite winning 3/4 games)

Before the league game I said if we win this and then Mansfield come back up and reap their revenge in this tinpot trophy it would suit me fine.

not too fussed now we scored a couple and lost to a worldy, I was worried at 2-0 down, wouldn't have minded winning though being out of this competition means no chance of us (and me) suffering the gut wrenching anticlimax of a Wembley appearance in a trophy everyone hates.

I know realistically that sooner or later Luton are going to come up against a team taking this competition seriously enough that our second string will get comfortably beaten. But just the thought of going all the way through to Wembley while the Football League fines us every match is so delicious.

Bit concerned that we're taking this seriously when we've used the least amount of players in all four leagues this season. Such a small squad isn't going to manage the whole season intact.

According to Nathan Jones, his players aren't "Santorini ponies that have to go up and down a hill all day" in reference to resting players and the inevitable fine coming our way.
