Oh right. Yes of course Bristol City are a bigger club atm with more chance of success but over time? No chance.

Was alive in 1987. A major trophy, do you know what one of them is? I was alive to see playing the best and competing with the best for 34 years too mate. I also saw us beat Bayern Munich when you were probably playing Yeovil.
And compare that to now - you're going to be hosting Fleetwood again next season :D

Not disputing that by any means - not once have I said that we've had a more successful past than Coventry, but the fact you have had more success and we are still regarded by many as a bigger club proves that History isn't the only factor in deciding club size.

Why not the Championship forum? I think that's fair.
Because most of the Championship Forum read down here anyway.

Don't go back on your words - you said there was a thread on OTIB where our own fans claimed we were the 6th biggest in the league, and failed to link it, then went onto say you were going to signup to OTIB and get their opinions on who is a bigger club, and you're still yet to.

Yes so again you admit Coventry City are more successful. Cheers
Never denied that.

Coventry more successful in the past?

Yes.

Coventry a bigger club?

No.

Ok. Question and poll up on the Championship forum. This will be interesting and fun.

You have never been a bigger club in your entire history apart from this year. I don't know what your maths is like but I'm certain 100 outweighs 1. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Dion, JJH asked for the thread on OTIB in which 'most of our fans agreed we were 6th biggest in League One'.

Bullshit?

You don't become a bigger club than someone overnight - and in terms of 100 years History, 1 season in comparison is 'overnight.'

That's the most silly thing I have ever read.

We've been a bigger club over a period of time, not just 1 season.

No. How can I link or send it when I don't have the rights? It's not my forum.

Why has the thread been removed? Bit of bitterness you may be embarrassed IMO
Because you don't have the cock and bollocks to do it on OTIB like you previously claimed you would - then when I followed it up, you bottled it.

Aye - proud as well.

Enjoy next season, enjoy the season after, and enjoy the season after that. I'm sure you'll still be in the same position as you are with no signs of development as per usual.

Surely a range of clubs opinions rather than the one in question is a fair test?

You're the biggest bullshitter of the lot you.

You said 'Your fans even agreed you're the 6th biggest in the league.'

So - if that were true, surely they'd all go for Coventry :ffs:

I'll tell you what - I'll do you a favour.

To save yourself the bother, I'll create the thread on OTIB, and get back to you with the results gathered in a day or two.

Sound good?

Title of the Thread then please.
Biggest clubs in league one.

Stats of various factors in deciding how big a club is compiled and Bristol City come out 6th (there wasn't a potential category or else you'd be above Real Madrid). Not one person really argues with the results. Seems it's just you mate. Coming across very deluded to me and unable to accept facts.

Probably the most sensible post I've read in this thread from a Coventry fan.

I'm not disputing the success of Coventry City - but the points I've been making are the periods of time that they commenced, and how it is now.

A big club isn't just determined by past, you have to take all things into account.
I know for a fact if Bristol go on to achieve what we did from the 60s to 00, 100% of Bristol City fans would be absolutely delighted with that and would rip your hand off. Do they have the potential to do that? I don't know but if what your telling me is true about the clubs potential and possible fan base, maybe you do.

I'm the first to acknowledge that we are no longer a big fish, and personally I can't see us ever recovering from where we are. But since our first relegation in 2001, Bristol City haven't achieved anything significant in football that trumps the previous 40 years we had.

As far as I'm concerned until you go on achieve something meaningful, I'd still have us above you but thats just my opinion.

Ok I'm sure you'll re word the question.

The question is.

"Over time, who has been a more successful and bigger club"

Not:

"Which club has never won anything but has got loads of potential we've never and will never fulfil" cause that would be unfair.

You can ask many respected members of this forum their opinions of me - and see how many comeback with 'deluded.'

I show no bias towards City, and I'm not one to usually get involved in these cockwaving exercises, but when a point needs to be made, and you're furthering the debate, I'll join in.

Hahaha

Just read that thread - the OP says we're 6th, and it sparks controversy and argument in the comments below, the majority of which arguing we're a far bigger club than the OP made out.

Also, this is when Wolves were in the league, and the OP was also suggesting that Rotherham are a bigger club than us, which sums him up in a nutshell.
