That's it mate.
Ah ok, not exactly what I was expecting. It may have been something memorable but unless I'm mistaken it reads very much as a low point in your history.

From an unbiased point of view, Coventry are definitely a much bigger club. They're currently completely disillusioned, that plays a massive part.

The whole event was a low point - but the way those 8 players conducted themselves, wrote their name in the Bristol City history books and saved our club was commendable.

Was a rare sight in football even at the time - and it most certainly would not happen now.

Should summarize it as - we hold the 'great 8' in high stand, not the events of it all.

I'm just trying to get my head around whether Brizzle, or specifically JJH, actually thinks they're a bigger club than Coventry, or are just winding this Cov fan up.

It's not even a debate for me - Coventry are definitely bigger, so I think its just a case of someone getting wound up over very little.

I'm alright. Just getting picked on by some Bristol City fan. Need more Cov fans on here, might send a rally to SBT to get on here.

I think we're a bigger club now.

We may not have always been - but we are now, and I've been trying to get the point across for the past hour or so that not only History plays a part in determining what is a 'big club.'

Eh?

I've never disputed that your history is far superior to ours, but that's only what I base a big club on, and taking all things into account, I think we're a bigger club now than Coventry are.

Anyway - we're going round in circles now, it's like being in fucking Swindon here - let the poll decide.

I'm dubious on how valid the results from your poll will be :dk:

Would a turkey vote for Christmas?

I'd still be tempted to class Coventry as a bigger club. Even now.

I'd be interested to see the results of a poll on here actually, and I'd be surprised if you came out above Coventry.

Bristol are currently in a higher league and get more fans, but you're nowhere near as big as Cov. Never have been, never will be.

Any Maths genius' out there able to just create some sort of logarithm for this to stop this boring debate where no one will ever agree?

Anyway I'm just here for a like from Scumarmy really. MKDons are the biggest.

Coventry are much bigger than us through history. At this current moment in time- considering the states of the 2 clubs (although I'm not the most knowledgable of coventrys situation)- I would say we are slightly bigger

But if hypothetically Steve Lansdown left and we were relegated next season, Coventry got some decent owners who back them and got promoted then they would be bigger at.

As for attendances at the moment, coventrys should be much better, I understand protesting to get sisu out, but it would be more effective imo if some weeks a decent number actually turned up.

Our attendances should be better for a city of its size, but when taking into account that around a third of the city support the horse punchers, and around a third prefer egg chasing/don't care about football and the fact that the capacity was reduced by around 7k last season there wasn't a lot more we could do there

He suggested it should be on there.

I did, correct. Then I suggested a much fairer way but you declined and I wonder why.

Even your OWN fans are in favour of us. Just give it up.

If you just take into account the last 3/4 years, pretend football never existed before 2010. You are bigger than us
2001-2015 - similar
1960-2015 - no contest, we are clearly ahead

Just how I see it

2015 - onwards - who knows the current situation suggests Bristol are in for much brighter times than us in the future.

As the thread discussion and poll is proving on OTIB - clearly the vast majority of us Bristol City fans believe as it stands we're a bigger club than Coventry.

That puts to bed the bullshit debate about our fans thinking we're smaller than Coventry, let alone Bradford, PNE and Rotherham.

It all seems rather pointless? What dems you to be a bigger club than an other?
I know one thing, im much more concerned about the future of my club than the past, and ours looks a hell of a lot brighter.

To be fair I'd say PNE are bigger than us

That is 1 fan.

The others quite clearly state Cov are much bigger over time.
What the other 6?

And then the other 19 that have voted have been favorable towards who?
