But if you get 46 games out of him (you just never know) you have a 30 goal striker? I bet he was fairly cheap.

I hope for your own sake he was or this will be fucking hilarious.

He won't single handedly take Lincoln to the play-offs, he scored almost 30 for us and we finished 11th. But if he is fit and stays fit it would be a good signing, but then we said the same thing for 2 seasons and Mansfield did last year. Thought his career was over when he got injured for Mansfield almost straight away, and even if fit theres no guarantee he will find his previous form, 3 seasons out is a long time.

Although he's played very little inbetween the seasons, you could still see his talent. Watched a lot of the Mansfield highlights from their pre-season and he was still tearing holes in defences. Despite his injuries he still keeps himself in excellent condition and always gives himself the best possible chance to recover.

The league is pretty crap this year. Single handedly maybe a bit extreme but if by some miracle Liam plays 30+ games he could prove to be a big difference.

Rejected a new deal at Mansfield, so they must be offering right shit wages at the minute.
Well we were obviously offering hardly anything for Hearn, considering he's been injured non - stop for years.

I heard a pay as you play deal, he shouldn't of expected much more to be honest.

I think Murray has generally offered reduced wages to current players, to free up funds for his own signings.

Have to laugh at your forum though, saying Hearn owe's you something because you have paid him a wage for a season and got him fit again.

We did that for two seasons and then let him go get fit at home a month before the end of the season with him saying he would come back and prove his fitness to Hurst to earn a new deal. Few weeks later he signs for you and says he wanted to sign for you for a long time.

Great striker and a joy to watch in that season, but he is clearly looking after himself and not bothered what the clubs have done for him. Wish him well, wouldn't mind us and Lincoln getting promoted at the same time ;)

That's a shit signing, he'll never be fit. Why couldn't we just keep Tomlinson?!
Tbf, Tomlinson was pissing about a bit.

We should have allowed him a bit of slack, mind, because he had earned that. Imagine a Tomlinson/Hearn top two...

Keep him fit and he'll single handedly take Lincoln to the play-offs, but as said it's a pretty big gamble, I very much doubt he's cheap. I'd swap him for Pittman as our gamble signing but that's really just for old times sake, completely understand why Hurst never made the move.

Love the bloke to bits and sincerely hope he does well for himself, injury has stopped him from achieving what should have been a decent career much higher up. He's not signed for our promotion rivals so I hope he can get himself fit and back to at least half his best. The big shame of it all though is that he'd have gotten a wonderful reception at BP for any other team but now will unfortunately be booed to the high heavens.

I was under the impression that we weren't supposedly much of a rival or anything to be bothered about. Reading the Fishy you would think he had just left you and signed for the Scunts! 5 pages and over 2000 views tells me something different.

What gave you that impression? It's the other way round, we obviously care about the rivalry because we sell your place out every season. It's the Lincoln fans who seemingly don't care about it, citing too much dog shit on the pavements as a reason for not coming to BP. Until of course, you broke your wretched record against us last season.

It mattered then.

Worked with Mills before when in the season he got York promoted and won the FA Trophy. Seemed to have a good season for Macc.
He's a bit 'meh' isn't he based on what other fans have said...

Adriano Moke has just signed for us

Good player, other County fans will tell you different as he never scored, but he's quick and direct, inconsistent but who isn't at this level? Will never be a Football League player but a good signing for yous.

Did Lincoln let Tomlinson go or did he reject a new deal? Hearn hasn't been fit for 2 years so it's a strange signing.

Tomlinson said we didn't offer him one, Moyses said we did. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle i.e. there was a verbal offer.

Either way, the part of the stories that match up is that Tomlinson wanted to 'shop around' and Moyses indicated he wasn't prepared to sit around, wait and potentially lose out on signings (either in his position or elsewhere where his wage could be used).

As I've said, I think he warranted a bit of slack. I'd rather he left having had a shop around and rejected the deal than us just, seemingly, flatly refusing to enter any other negotiations.

Dominic Vose was a hot prospect at West Ham but he was absolute garbage when he signed for us, he didn't even stand out against teams such as Hitchin. Then gets a move out of nowhere to Colchester and by all means has played well at welling.

I'm quite excited by these signings by Mills. It looks like the team is going to be much more pacy and set up to score more goals next season compared to the ultra defensiveness and caution we saw under Wilkin. I can see Moult thriving with the way the team is heading.

Liam Hearn, wow!
Good signing for us really hope he can stay fit.
Meant to be looking at Ross Hannah and Bradley Wood as well.
