£30 a pop for Chelsea v Chessie I see. Should be a decent money spinner that, no wonder you shot off the trophy!

However… if we go back behind closed doors that would basically be the NL equivalent of buying the winning lottery ticket then losing it.

Chesterfield must have held firm on the price there, fair play. Couple of nervous weeks for them watching Boris.

Not Non-League anymore but love to see Ipswich getting a Barrowing. Midweeks games at Holker Street fellas, remember them? Stuff of nightmares.

I've never worked out how they manage to play all of their fixtures on a Tuesday in Winter. Quite remarkable.

Can't really grumble at £30. It would be a kick in the balls if fans aren't allowed in but i think (really hope) we'll be OK.

We can't keep shutting down the country for a virus at a time of year when people tend to get.......viruses!

Fuck restrictions. Apart from working from home, that can stay. But otherwise, bugger 'em.

I wonder how many Chelsea will turn up at that price though? Was a full house when we went there in the League Cup but I don't doubt for a second that that was for no reason other than the fact that it was a tenner a pop.

Yep. If all these restrictions/measures worked as they should then why is this thing just as prevalent nearly 2 years down the line?

Let's just accept It's probably here to stay, so let's just learn to live with it like we do the rest of the viruses and diseases, we can't hide behind our sofas forever FFS. The word "covid" has become more dangerous than the virus itself, It's crazy!

I was kind of half joking, but yea I sort of agree. I guess the danger comes when hospitals are that overwhelmed with Covid patients that nobody else is getting treatment for other illnesses and stuff and then you're in a mess. I really don't want the pubs to shut and no fans in football grounds again though, that would be really pants.

I mean it’s literally a once in a lifetime pandemic, and you can still go down the pub, but ok

Cool. I'm not some conspiracist here, i've worn masks when i've been told to, had the jabs (3) etc. but i just believe a line has to be drawn somewhere.

Is that the popular viewpoint?.....probably not but ahh well.

I'll leave it at that.

£30 a ticket is sound but 1 per fan on general sale online. I can’t imagine the ticketing system will be intelligent enough that people can select seats so they’re sat together. Could be an issue with groups of mates dotted all over the shop on their own.

Yes, not the best place for a covid debate. Good man for getting your booster though. And I genuinely hope you get your day out and payday at Chelsea, be a real sickener for any lower league fan to miss out on that.

FWIW I’m with you Dan with regards at some point we need to accept we are living with the virus in society, but do think we probably need to wait for the death toll lag on this latest wave before we just crack on. We’ve no idea whether 90000 cases a day is going to be a mild disease and a stable 200 deaths a day or skyrocket to 1000+ deaths a day again. Best to be cautious atmo and not risk major strain on the already threadbare NHS.

Particularly as London has been hit quite badly by this new variant.

When we last played Chelsea away in the league cup (2003) it was a virtual sell out and they let us keep all the gate receipts. We were in admin at the time though and I’m not sure they would be so generous this time around, especially if Red Rom is an avid TFF reader and has been keeping up to date with all the BEEFS

Being widely reported now that a two-week ‘circuit breaker’ is being considered after Christmas. Not good news for Chessie, unless it included all football being cancelled for a couple of weeks too instead of going BCD.

A two-week circuit breaker would end up being about four months as well, let’s be honest.

Chesterfield dismay at missing out on Chelsea to turn to joy when they PPG their way to promotion. I think this board would implode the internet if that happened.

A bugger, it is what it is, nothing you can do is there. Maybe they will stream it, might shift a few with it not being on telly either, maybe a bit of money that way. If it's even on at this rate..

It’s on bbc IPlayer / red button innit so doubt streaming £ is gonna happen. Going to Stamford bridge pissed up with 6000 town fans, losing 5-1 and then going out in London (and pocketing £700k) vs sitting at home watching us lose 5-1 in front of no spectators and minimal £ return from the game.

Massive shame but does look like restrictions are coming (bizarrely given hospitalisations are steady with levels in august as are deaths despite our rise in cases).

He's using covid as a shield now to try and save his political career, what with all these cheese and wine business meetings he was having in lockdown. The guy wants banging up
